guess what? I'm going to start updating this story again! I think I may change some things though - as in, this may become more about nico and will as well as frank and hazel. they're hard for me to write for some reason.
anyway, enjoy!

The night of the first preview came quickly. When the thirty minute call rolled around, Hazel already had her makeup done (Silena had showed her how to do her own, so she did it by herself now, as did most of the cast). Nico, Calypso, and Sherman all did, too.
They were all sitting in Nico's dressing room - he shared with only one other boy, and he wasn't in there at the moment.
"When do we need to put our costumes on?" Hazel asked excitedly. It wasn't like she had already asked the question fourteen times.
"Not until about the fifteen. You don't want anything to happen to it," Nico replied patiently.
"Turn," Calypso instructed. She was in the process of pincurling Hazel's hair so that it would stay underneath her wig. As Hazel spun around on the table, Nico's phone made a ding.
"It's Will!" Nico exclaimed. They'd been dating for three years and, still, Nico got so excited any time Will texted or called him.
A few minutes passed where nothing happened - Calypso curled Hazel's hair, Sherman sat there like a statue (Hazel assumed he was nervous), and Nico texted Will.
Very suddenly, Sherman snapped to life and grabbed Nico's phone.
"Will says," he read aloud, "'good luck tonight baby! I love you!' and then Nico says 'thanks hon! I love you more'. Then Will says 'I miss you' and Nico says-"
Nico snatched his phone. "What's wrong with you?" He demanded, but he was smiling softly.
"This is the fifteen minute call," a voice called over the intercom.
"We better go change," Calypso commented, finishing up Hazel's hair. She nodded in agreement and slid off the table - Sherman followed suit.
"I'll see you guys at places," Nico grinned. "Don't forget to steam your voices. Break a leg."
"You too, Neeks," Hazel grinned, kissing his head as they filed our of the dressing room.

"Hey, Hazel."
Hazel looked up quickly, dropping her bright res lipstick as she did. Frank was standing in the doorway. Calypso kicked her under the table.
"Hi Frank!"
"Um, good luck. Er, break a leg. You'll be great."
Hazel beamed. "Thank you! And, you too. Without you guys there wouldn't be a show..."
Frank blushed a deep red. "Thanks," he stammered, grinning.
The call for places came over the intercom, and slowly Hazel stood up.
"I guess I have to go," she said, glancing back at Calypso.
"Yeah, me too," Frank replied.
"I'll talk to you at intermission?" Hazel quickly added.
Frank brightened immeasurably. "Yeah!"
"Great!" Hazel turned to Calypso. "Ready?"
