~from (y/n)'s POV~
You stared at Levi. You could ask him to clarify, hope that he said something else...but truth was, you didn't want what he'd said to change.
That didn't mean that you understood what he was doing, though. "Why?" Your voice came out hoarse.
He didn't look away, didn't fidget or play with his hair the ways some boys did when they wanted to avoid a topic. "Because. I deserve you more than he does. So love me instead."
"But why me?" You frowned. "Levi, if you're just doing this out of pity or guilt or whatever the frick else, then stop it now because I'm really not in the mood."
"Damn it, (y/n). Is it really that hard to believe that I'm serious?" Levi scowled, but he somehow made it look attractive. "Just because I told you that I treated girls badly before doesn't mean I'm still like that. And besides, I would never do that to you."
You were quiet, your eyes tearing up a bit. "Do you believe in fate?" you asked finally. "Some higher destiny?"
Levi hesitated, as though he knew that saying the wrong thing would make you leave. "Maybe."
"What if..." You got quiet. "What if...all of this happened...the theme park, your cousin, Annie...all of it, just to bring us together?" You looked into his eyes, not withholding your confusion. "Do you think that's possible?"
"I guess it's possible," he said after a moment, but you could tell that he didn't buy into anything that he couldn't tangibly observe.
You were about to tell him something when you heard a scream. You looked back toward the row of tents, your eyes widening as they screaming continued. Then you got on your feet and started rubbing toward the noise.
"(Y/n)! Wait!" Levi shouted behind you, cursing as he ran to catch up, but you were already at the tent.
Sasha was sprawled half-in, half-out of the tent, her eyes already glazing over, her entire body cross-crossed in jagged slices.
"What- how-" you trailed off as you spotted shards of glass.
That's when you saw her cell phone, crushed beside her, the screen cracked in the same pattern as her wounds.
You heard Levi come up behind you, panting slightly and swearing as soon as he saw the body, but you forced yourself to kneel forward, your knees saturated in her blood, to take her pulse.
Nothing.
"Who did this?" Levi asked, but your mind was already drifting. You'd taken too much emotional stimuli for one day, and you needed some processing time.
Unfortunately, Levi wasn't content to leave you be, sitting in a pile of a dead girl's blood. "(Y/n)!" He shook you by the shoulders, hard, jarring you out of a blank stare. "Get up!"
You did as you were told, letting him help you to a stand, but you still weren't completely focused.
"(Y/n), listen to me. Where's your phone?" Levi asked, already thinking ahead of you.
"Why?" you murmured. "Why does it matter? Sasha is-"
"I know what happened, (y/n). I saw it-"
"I'm not going to drop my phone," you said weakly, still somewhat zoned out and unable to focus.
"Damn it, (y/n). Sasha didn't drop her phone. Somebody crushed it."
That got your attention. "What? But why-" You were horrified. And then you realized something else just as terrifying. "Levi," you began, already trembling and struggling to stay upright. "My phone- the tent-"
Levi's face went white and he sprinted off towards your tent without another word, leaving you to sink back down to your knees, covered in Sasha's blood from the waist down and on your hands.
That's when Erwin showed up with Annie, Erwin still fumbling to get his clothes all on correctly. "What the-" he said as he saw me next to Hanji's body. "(Y/n)?" he asked apprehensively. "What...happened here?"
"Sasha's dead," you said blankly, unable to look at him and unable to look away from the reflection of the moon and stars in Sasha's blood.
"Psycho b*tch," Annie muttered, but you made no attempt to defend yourself.
That's when Levi came back, your phone in his hand.
"Here," he said without preamble, thrusting not into your palm.
"You shouldn't have given that back to her," Annie said, glaring at you, and Levi turned to give her a taste of his death stare.
"You - shut up. And you," he said, turning to Erwin, "also stay quiet. Someone in camp just killed Sasha, and they won't stop there."
"Well, how do we know it's not you?" Erwin asked, backing away slightly from Levi, who admittedly looked vicious.
"Because if I had made up my mind to kill you, I would have done it personally, not by smashing your phone. And keep your mouth shut because you're really tempting me with opportunity," Levi snapped.
Erwin went quiet.

Levi gathered the rest of the camp and stared at each of them in turn.
"Among you...is a murderer."
