13: Drip, Drip, Drop
Lucy
The fire department, ambulance, and Jellal arrived at the scene five minutes later. Erza didn't stop pacing until he came to her. The moment he touched her shoulder to ask her what happened, she collapsed into his arms and started quietly sobbing. Coach and Mira arrived seconds after the 211 call. Neither has said anything since their arrival.
Natsu's eyes never left the sight of our crucified teammates. I stopped looking at them minutes ago as the ambulance and fire department set to work on getting them down urgently.
I knew some FCs hated each others guts. But this?! No, this isn't just bad blood between two clubs, this is literally a declaration of war.
"Lucy," Natsu finally spoke, his voice still as dark. "Go with them to the hospital. Make sure they'll be alright."
"Natsu-" I started.
"Please, Luce," he turned to me, his eyes softened when he met mines. "It's the least we can do for them."
It was weak but I replied, "Of course."
"Thank you, Lucy," he said before his attention returning to the scene.

Makarov called an emergency meeting that morning. He's been oddly quiet since he came to the gruesome scene. Lucy had already left in the ambulance with Levy, Jet and Droy. The rest of the team were all sitting on the grass legs crossed taking in the news. Jellal was even there in uniform as well as gloomy standing next to our coach without saying a word.
"Gramps!" I snapped. "All this sitting around isn't going to catch that bastard!"
Makarov looked at me, "I'm thinking Natsu, please settle down."
I didn't argue any further knowing it was no use. Coach is a wise old man, if he's thinking than he's probably figuring out what to do.
My phone suddenly buzzed twice in my pocket. Reaching in, I pulled out the Samsung S6 and examined what I just received.
It was a text from Lucy saying:
Jet, Droy and Levy are going to be alright!!! They just went through surgery and it was a success. Nothing too serious n it won't affect their soccer careers either.
Newfound relief flooded my body. That's good news that the three are alright. They're not only key players on our team, they are also friends; family to be exact. What happened to them is completely despicable though. I vow to -
My phone vibrated again:
There's something you should know, Natsu. They were crucified using metal nails Sho traced back to a Gajeel Redfox. I dug up some info... He's the Phantom Lord FC's captain...
I-it was Phantom. They did this to our players?! For what exactly, huh? Taking out our midfielder and two defenders, what the hell were they hoping to achieve. They're chicken if they were planning on picking us off one by one like that. There ain't no way I'm letting that happen.
"It was Redfox of Phantom Lord," I growled to my teammates. They exchanged looks of worry and horror absorbing in the information.
"How can you be so sure, Natsu?" Jellal asked.
I looked at the officer, "Your partner in crime took the nails they used on Levy and got fingerprints tracing back to Gajeel Redfox. Lucy looked him up: captain of Phantom."
Jellal's jaw tightened at the news but he didn't say anything. It was Loke who got angry and snapped, "Then what the hell are we sitting around for, anyway?! Let's go teach those punks a lesson to never lay a finger on our family!"
Agreement broke out among our teammates. I was one of them. Phantom is going to pay dearly for their actions today, I'll even make sure of it.
"Now, now calm down," Coach sighed, catching everyone's attention. "We're no better of we storm into their field and pick a fight with them. The council would be furious. If they're really here to sabotage our game plan, then what better way for revenge then to beat them even when we're missing two of our players."
I chewed on my gum but didn't answer 'cause I know Gramps got a point. I love fights but soccer way more. If we beat Phantom without some of our starters they would lose so much face.
"Plus," Makarov's face suddenly became a smile. "We have the perfect sub for Levy's position."
We all looked around, looking for that perfect sub he's talking about. All I see were confused faces of my teammates trying to figure who is who.
"Jellal," Makarov started.
The said man was shock, "What are you saying...?"
"Alright," I smirked. "Time to practice! I'm all fired up."

I made sure Jet, Droy and Levy were comfortable in their beds; each had bandages where there broken bones and cuts. I talked to their nurse, asking her to call me when they wake up. She promised so I left the hospital with a heavy heart.
Makarov scheduled a practice today because Jellal has agreed to fill in Levy's spot for the game. Macao and Wakaba are taking Jet's and Droy's places.
Natsu told me to take my time getting to the field. He knows Levy and I are close. But I can't sit around staring at her all day. I have to get practicing myself. There are a whole bunch of other strikes I need to master before Tuesday's game!
"Drip, drip, drop," a creepy girl's voice came from behind me.
The chick was wearing a completely blue rain coat dress like thingy completed with a blue furry top hat covering the top of her long ocean blue hair that curled at the bottom.
"Hi...?" I asked. "Can I help you find something Miss?"
"Drip, drip, drop," she walked right by me. "I sense a rainstorm coming in around five minutes."
Did this chick just get released from the cuckoo hut or something? There's not a cloud in the sky.
"Oh wait," she suddenly stop. "You're the only one caught in this storm."
She turned around, her dark navy eyes darkened further, "Miss Lucy Layla Heartfilia."
How did she -
I didn't have time to register anything. A giant pang hit the back of my head. One minute I'm watching the cuckoo lady in front of me. The next I saw the very little stars hundreds of miles away.
