Complicated Plans
"Rising up!" I sang loudly, prancing around the living alike to a drunk. "Back on the street, did my time took my chances. Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet..." I made eye contact with Draco Malfoy was sitting on the couch, watching me as if I were insane.
Doing some odd dance with my shoulders, I jumped next to him on the couch getting in his face as I sang. "AND HE'S WATCHING US ALL WITH THE EYE OF THE TIGER!"
Draco sighed, but the ghost of a smile appeared on his lips. "A muggle song? Really?" He seemed as if he wanted to be disgusted, but couldn't because of the dance moves I was doing.
"Eye of the tiger, just let it consume you, Malfoy, it's a classic." I whispered, bopping his nose with my finger.
Scoffing, the Malfoy boy watched as I once again leaped off the sofa, moving to the brand new stereo I had just stolen from some Radio Shack store. Spinning the knob causing the music to turn up to an unholy amount of noise, Draco's eyes widening as he hid his face in his hands trying to stifle his laughs.
"Oh, okay!" I changed the song midway through to Bon Jovi.
"TAKE MY HAND, WE'LL MAKE IT I SWEAR!" I screamed, Draco's gaze suddenly turning horrified when a confused looking Snape wandered to into the room. "WOAH! LIVIN' ON A PRAYER!"
Snape who was now looking at me, his jaw nearly hitting the ground in disbelief. Slowly, his eyes slid to the stereo set, myself not caring only snapping my fingers while making strange facial expressions toward both wizards.
"OOH." I kicked my leg out, making myself turn to the side beginning to shuffle. "This is my jam!"
I wasn't going to lie, doing this made me feel like I was fifteen again. I could imagine myself dancing with Alexius in my room.
The manor seemed to shake from the booming noise, Draco trying his hardest not to laugh at Snape's expression. For a boy who was supposed to hate muggles and be mean, Draco Malfoy sure did like to have fun when he could.
Or maybe he had just been extremely lonely the past few months and I was his last option.
Either way, I was breaking Draco Malfoy of his usual habits, and it was great. The battle of Hogwarts was just around the corner, and I knew Draco was terrified. He didn't want to face his fellow classmates like he was about to do, he didn't want to kill.
Draco may come off as harsh, but he was no cold-blooded murderer.
After making sure of a few things, I was relatively positive that Fred would no longer die. With a few strings pulled and certain precaution put into place, Fred would live. Unfortunately, I couldn't be so sure of anyone else.
"C'mon, Malfoy!" I held my hand out while twisting my hips. "You know you want to join."
"No," Malfoy finally gave in, laughing while shaking his head. "I really don't." He had now thrown his head back, Severus glancing back and forth between the two of us in exasperation.
"What about you, Severus?" I turned to Snape, waltzing a bit closer to him mimicking a dance I had seen while playing Fortnight. "You look like you have a dancers body."
Severus gave me a hard blank stare, his lips slowly drawling back in a sneer. "Thank Merlin you didn't go to Hogwarts while I was a student or teaching." I pouted at his answer, turning toward the window.
"Not the answer I wanted! WOAH, WE'RE HALFWAY THERE-" A shattered explosion cut off my singing and my music.
We all froze turning carefully to Tom who had just used his wand in blowing up the stereo. However, my face changed into a scowl almost immediately at the sight of the wand Tom was holding.
No longer was it his ivory white, it was a bumpy wooden wand, long in its strive and holes lining the entirety of it. He was currently holding the Elder Wand, the wand which had been buried with Dumbledore. Also, the wand which rebounds on him and ends up being his destruction.
In Tom's grasp was his death, that wand would be the end of him. Looking back to the stereo which was scrambled into hundreds of tiny pieces, I narrowed my eyes at Tom. First, this bitch thinks he can just be holding his death like that, second, he has the audacity to turn off my music.
Glaring the stereo, Tom shook his head. "There will be no muggle technology in this house. Severus, Draco, if you'll please give my mistress and I privacy, we must have a discussion."
Mistress? My eyes flared with fire, that was the last straw. "MISTRESS!" I roared, Draco and Severus wasting no time in scampering out of the room.
Tom looked angry at my screaming, twirling the wand within his grasp. "Yes, that is your title around here. That's not the point though, the battle in which I am to kill Harry Potter is just around the corner, and I require your assistance in the battle." He had his nose stuck in the air as he said this, my mouth falling open.
This hoe.
"Excuse me," I walked up, pointing to his wand. "Number one: You get rid of that right now, Tom Riddle! Two: Don't you dare think you can ever boss me around. And three: No, I will not be fighting on your side of the battle. Actually, I won't be fighting at all, I refuse to fight against my friends in the Order as I refuse to fight against you all." If Tom could look like the Devil, he would now.
Marching up, so he was in my face, he hissed three simple words.
"You. Will. Fight."
Arching a brow daringly, I smirked in a jacked up sort of way.
"No. I. Won't."
Ignoring Tom's deadly glare, I moved my gaze down to his wand. "Get rid of that thing now. Where's your old wand?" Scoffing, Tom shook his head.
"Some soul-bounder you are." He murmured, just loud enough for me to hear.
"What!" I reeled my head around to face him in shock, he wouldn't say something that hurtful.
Yes, he would.
"You heard me," Steam was practically coming from Tom's nostrils as he addressed me. "First, you completely lie to me. Second, you leave me for over fifty years. And now this, really?" His gaze was burning into my being with hatred. "You're not even going to help me fight the most important battle of my life, and furthermore you're trying to take the very thing that will help me win away! You are a selfish bitch who cares for no one but herself, even I would help you with something like this." I couldn't be sure, but I'm sure after that he began cursing me out in parseltongue.
Tears welled in my eyes, as I shook my head. He went too far.
"Well, if that's how you feel." I sniffed, Tom's eyes suddenly softening.
Taking a step forward reaching out gently, only for me to take two steps cringing away as if he were poison. "Puppy," He made sure to use an old nickname of mine. "I didn't mean it-"
"Then why would you say it?" I bit back harshly, tears falling Tom's own eyes looking glossier than usual when he saw this. "Everyone knows you don't lie, Tom, no matter how hard the truth may be, you are honest. I didn't realize I meant so little to you." Small sniffles escaped me.
Glaring at my words, Tom shook his head. "You're the only thing that matters." He stated like it was a fact. "Hell, I was born under Amortentia, and I love you. Now, come-" I cut him off by holding up my hand, giving him a trembling smile.
"Enough said, I can't stay, but neither can you." Tom was confused at my words, myself only sighing. "Goodbye." With that, Tom's eyes widened when he realized where I was going with this.
"Wait-" He tried leaping forward grabbing me, but I was far too quick.
One second had passed when my grace consumed me, and I was no longer standing in Riddle Manor. I was standing smack in the middle of Chicago in September on 900 North Kingsbury Street in front of a large beautiful apartment complex.
With a sudden smile, wiping the tears away easily, I grabbed my phone out of my pocket. Dialing Alexius' number, I prayed he happened to be in this current time. Three rings later, and I was pleased when someone picked up.
"Hello?" Alexius said in a groggy tone, my eyebrows furrowing as I checked the time
Wincing when I saw I had appeared at seven in the morning, I felt slightly bad for waking Alexius but at the same time, I didn't care.
"The plan went accordingly, I need you and Lavender to help now. There is no way I'm decorating the entire condo myself." Alexius cheered, sounding awake all of the sudden.
"Thank God, I thought for sure it'd fail. Lavender and I will be over in a few." I giggled as he hung up, gazing at the expensive apartment complex lovingly.
"Home sweet home," I muttered to myself, pulling my new keys to my own apartment out of my pocket, rubbing them in my hands. "Time for new beginnings."
