Work

When Codie enters the apartment, Sun bombards her, lifting her up and hugging her tightly. He nuzzles her neck, making sure to shrink his rays as to not poke her, and carries her off to the couch to sit down with her in his lap.

"Sun!" Codie giggles when he plops down. Moon watches from the kitchen, still reeling about his earlier epiphany.

With Codie in his lap, he continues to bury his face in her neck. "Bad, Sunflower!" He shakes his head, "Bad, bad, bad!" emphasizing each 'bad' with a shake. "You worried me sososososo much!"

Codie leans back, brushing her hair out of her face with a huff. "I know! I feel so bad!" she groans, trying to remove herself from the solar bot's lap but he keeps a strong grip on her.

Moon quietly observes, a small smile gracing his lips at the cute display. "How was your first day, Starlight?" Moon tilts his head, chuckling when Codie almost falls backwards. Sun prevents her plummet and decides to finally release her.

Before he does, though, he leans back, grins mischievously and plants a kiss onto her forehead, yelling "Mwah!" as he does so. He giggles and lets her go, being sure to snap a picture of her red face.

Embarrassed, Codie scrambles to get out of his lap, spluttering the entire time. Moon leans on his hand while his elbow rests on the dinner table. 'How does he do that so easily?' he wonders to himself, envious of his brother's ability to do stuff without thinking.

As she stands, the ginger brushes herself off, glancing every which way and chuckling awkwardly. "Ah-heh, work was fine! Um...my coworker Chrissy was really nice. I think she liked me."

The boys are glad. As long as she is safe and happy at work, they'll be fine.

Just as long as she lets them know the next time she stays late that is.

"I really appreciate you guys not rushing to my job though. Really." She smiles sweetly.

Oh boy, if only she knew how much restraint Moon had to have for the both of them. Sun was ready to run out the door while Moon wanted to do the same but thought back on that talk about boundaries you had explained to them.

That included not rushing to conclusions like Sun clearly has trouble not doing. Moon would rather have an upset Codie rather than a hurt Codie, though. But he restrained himself and thankfully she's back home and safe.

Abruptly, she rushes to her bedroom, surprising the boys at her sudden departure. Scarlet eyes meet milky white for a few baited seconds. The young adult runs back out of her room, very clearly hiding something behind her back. Though she doesn't try hiding it from Sun, more so from Moonie.

Confused, Moon lifts his head and blinks curiously at the ginger. Sun, still sitting on the couch but now turned around and watching, scans what Codie is holding and giggles to himself, excited to see his brother's reaction.

Codie smiles shyly, "I've been waiting to give this to you and figured this was as good a time as any..." She then reveals one of her hands that she has been hiding behind her back, holding out the repaired kid's drawing Moon had shredded previously.

Mouth agape, the lunar animatronic gently takes it, holding it out to look at it. He takes a deep breath, holding it and then releasing it to calm his erratic mind. He couldn't believe this human, this wonderful human he calls his roommate and best friend, went out of her way to do this for him?

He didn't deserve her kindness. He takes in every little bit of paper she had to tape together. Tiny pieces among larger ones all taped to make an amalgamation of what once was his gift from the children.

It's not perfect, of course it wasn't, she's only human, but it was beautiful to Moon. He blinks his eyes, confused at the cool sensation he gets when doing so.

He reaches up to wipe his eye and feels actual tears. He quickly rubs them away, not wanting the others to see. Though, he is glad their upgrades are working properly, he doesn't exactly want Codie to see him cry over a kid's drawing.

The human sways, unnerved by the lack of response from Moon. "I tried my best to get all the pieces and put them back together but you know..." she trails off, twiddling her thumbs all the while Sun watches merrily in the background.

Moon blinks, finally snapping out of his stupor, and stands up, causing the human to take a step back in surprise while she cranes her neck to look up at him. "Thank you...Starlight...this means so, so much to me..." Upon hearing this, Codie smiles that smile and Moon has to stop himself from scooping her up in his arms.

Instead, he bends down to pull her into a gentle hug, burying his face into her neck. He opens his eyes to see Sun giving him a thumbs up with a big grin. He rolls his eyes and sticks his tongue out at his counterpart.

With a relieved huff, Codie stands back after Moon lets her go. Smirking, he looks back and forth between her and his gift. "Want to help me hang this up?"

She jumps in place while Sun jumps off the couch, both excitedly clapping. "Yes!" Codie beams. Sun races them to the bedroom as the other two watch, chuckling at the his antics.

The two follow and enter the bedroom. Moon goes to the closet and grabs a thumbtack, returning to Codie and handing it to her. "Where do you want it?" she asks, scanning the littered walls.

"Anywhere you like," Moon hums, sitting down on the bed beside his brother. The two watch her walk around for a moment, trying to decide where to hang the paper. She finally appears to find a spot as she reaches on her tippy toes to punch the paper into the wall with the pin. She stands back to make sure she did it level.

"Good?" She turns her head around to ask the two. Both bots nod their heads at the same time and, funnily enough, at different speeds. "Yay!" Codie cheers, hopping into bed with the boys before realizing what she did.

She immediately tenses up, embarrassed. Apologizing, the ginger moves to get off but Sun grabs her ankle. "Hey! Don't be sorry! You're always welcomed on the bed!" he beams, patting the middle in between the two of them.

"Yeah-but-well, I..." the girl stutters, unsure on how to get out of this predicament she put herself in. She should be getting ready for bed, she's had a long day after all, but she also wants to cuddle with her friends and is that weird?!

'Definitely weird...why do I think like this...' Codie huffs, sitting on her knees. The boys watch as their human seemingly has an internal debate with herself. She startles when the light suddenly goes out.

She glances up and sees that the celestial robots are just patiently watching her, waiting for her to make a decision. Moon's red eye lights draw her in and she decides to lie down and get comfy. She does so by wiggling her form up and in the middle, lying flat with her hands crossed on her stomach as to not touch either of them awkwardly.

"Do you think she'd let me play with her hair?" Moon's eyes open when he hears Sun's internal question. He peers down to Codie to see she's still awake but her eyes are closed as she rests.

"Hmm... Probably not, but just ask her." Moon replies.

The solar bot hovers a shaky hand above the crown of her head. "But-but what if she says no!" he worries.

"Sun. There's a ninety-five percent chance she'll say yes." Moon says, reassuring the bright bot.

Sun perks up, no longer shaking. "Wait, really!?" Moon snorts, putting a fist up to his face even though it won't do anything.

"Pfft, no I made it up."

Sun pouts but speaks up to Codie. "Um, hey...Sunbeam? Would-would it be okay if I- um played with your hair?" The girl's emerald green eyes open to look at Sun.

She closes her eyes again, tiredly mumbling, "Yea, of course, Sunny, I don't mind." Sun silently cheers to himself and giddily places his hand atop Codie's head. Moon watches on with amusement as his brother starts off by petting the soft red hair, moving to combing it through his fingers.

"Always so...so soft!" he sighs to Moon. The lunar bot tilts his head, curious as he hasn't really taken the time to run his hand through her hair like Sun. He looks to his hand; large, blue, silicon and chilly. He worries the silicon will stick and pull her hair, but as he watches Sunny, it doesn't appear to happen to his hands.

He places it down next to Sun's, who is smiling up at him with mischief in his blank eyes. Moon narrows his eyes back, testing the waters and dragging his hand down slowly. His sensors pick up the silky smoothness of the red hair, surprising him almost.

'How can a human's hair be this soft?' he wonders. Sun smirks knowingly, a look of 'I-told-you-so' on his face. Moon rolls his eyes and goes back to running his fingers through Codie's luscious locks.

Sooner than later, Codie's breathing evens out as she falls asleep. Sun coos down at her, face resting on his palm while he sits up on the pillow by his elbow. He sure wishes she'd sleep with them every night, she's too cute and soft. Though, Sun knows Moon would just make up a bunch of reasons why that wouldn't be a good idea, Codie wouldn't like it, blah blah.

He sighs. He's been trying to figure out his emotions for a bit now and all he knows is that he just wants to be with her. All the time. He loves to have some sort of contact. Be it playing with her hair, holding her hand, or even just laying next to her like this. He wonders what his brother has surmised about his own feelings.

He jeeps wanting to tell Codie this but, his anxieties and worries get in the way. That voice that tells him how Codie wouldn't like you like that, you're a robot, she's a human, it wouldn't work. He doesn't have Moon in his head anymore to comfort him and Sun is too scared to voice his problems with his brother.

But, as Sun watches his best friend sleep beside him and his brother, he can't help but think that right now, in this moment...this is okay for now.

Another day, another dollar!

Codie didn't think she'd ever repeat that mantra, but here she is. A week has gone by since she started her barista job at Coffee Garden and so far it hasn't been awful. Chrissy is awesome, they've been texting back and forth and plan to hang out soon and Shen is...well Shen is Shen.

Codie would describe him as awkward. Socially awkward that is. Holding a conversation with him that isn't about video games is virtually impossible and with Codie's social anxiety it doesn't work out very well. The boy does make an effort, though, which Codie could appreciate the thought.

Lois is a good manager. She let Codie pick a day to go home early after staying longer on her first shift and is pretty flexible in helping her schedule.

And making drinks can be pretty fun! Codie especially loves drizzling syrup on top. The only thing that gives her anxiety is...Jason. That one customer that labels himself as a regular even though he comes in every other day not every single day. He constantly flirts with her and makes her uncomfortable.

Chrissy tells her he does that to all of the female workers and to just try and ignore it. But Codie can't help but grimace and gag. He always winks at her, too, and with that greasy smile and untrimmed, short beard? Ew.

Codie shakes her head, trying to will those certain thoughts to go away. She focuses on the latte she's currently putting together when the door rings. The ginger looks up and releases a breath she didn't know she was holding. It's just an average customer.

She really needs to stop being so on edge every time the bell rings. So, with a customer service approved smile, Codie takes the person's order and gets back to work.

~~~~~~~~~
"Okay! So, I'm off! Text me when you are, too, and we'll hang out~!" Chrissy tells Codie while she hangs off the ginger's shoulder. Codie giggles.
"Will do! Get home safe!" She waves her friend bye and spots Shen as he walks in for his shift. "Heyy, Shen," Codie greets with a half wave.
"'Sup!" he returns the sentiment, more enthusiastically. He walks behind the counter and wraps his apron around his hip, tying it in the back. Codie doesn't reply as she continues to make a customer's drink.
Shen, after he clocks in from the back, goes up front to take orders. Three are taken and he turns around to help Codie fulfill them quickly. He watches her for a moment, seemingly having trouble speaking, and he shakes his head in frustration.
"So, you have any plans after work?" Nothing like a little small talk to get the blood pumping. Codie hums in the affirmative. "Oh-" Shen chuckles awkwardly, "okay uh well maybe some other time, then, but I was thinking, we should get together and play some games."
The ginger has to stop and think for a minute, wondering if she had anything going on soon. Nothing in particular pops up so she can't help but accept the boy's offer. "Yeah, sure." She shrugs. It wouldn't hurt to play something with him. Another friend ought to do her some good.
Shen silently celebrates, pumping his fist down and whispering, "Yes!" to himself. He then goes to take the next lady's order who has just walked up to the counter. "Hi! How can I help you?" The lady speaks and in an instant, Codie freezes in her spot.
That voice. That shrilly yet nasally and condescending voice. It's Linda. The ginger quickly ducks down so the woman doesn't see her. 'Nowaynowaynoway!' She can't just stay below the counter forever...but...Codie has not forgotten that passive-aggressive threat Linda threw out to her that day.
"You'll regret this, Missy..." She had sneered at her. And if she finds out Codie works here? Who knows what she would do. Would she make her life miserable? Would she sabotage her job? So many thoughts and scenarios run through Codie's head that Shen has to tap her shoulder to bring her out of it.
"You good?" he asks, head tilted as he's squatting down to be level with the fidgety girl.
"Uh..." she replies, breathless as if she just came up for air after diving. "Yea-yeah...umm, does that lady come in often?" Codie slowly stands back up, wary of the woman. Shen looks around confused. "Linda," Codie reiterates.
"Oh! Linda? Yeah, she's here quite a bit. Not as much as some regulars, though. Why?" Shen frowns at Codie's demeanor, unsure as to why she seems to be anxious all of a sudden as he begins said woman's Chai Latte.
The girl does not answer and instead heads to the back after finishing the lady in front of Linda's order. She calls out the name, Donna, and scurries to the back. Shen shrugs. In the back, Codie tries to find something to occupy herself with before Lois notices she's not out front.
She grabs a broom and mindlessly begins sweeping the floors. Lois, of course, to Codie's chagrin, exits the manager's office. She stops in her tracks, blinking at her worker. "Codie? What're you doin' back here?"
"Oh!" The young adult stammers, almost dropping the broom in her surprise. "No-nothing! Just, um...sweeping! Since it's slow up front." Codie's smile is strained and Lois can see it clearly but she's unsure why she would lie about something like this.
Lois smiles sweetly back, waving her off. "No worries, dear, be sure to get back soon, though, okay?"
"Mhm!" It's been long enough, so Codie figures Linda must be gone by now and so she returns to Shen. Said boy quirks an eyebrow in a silent question. "Uh, Linda, she's a huge activist against the integration for animatronics and she sorta hates me for helping them win the last meeting."
The boy's eyes widened. "Really? She's like, the sweetest lady. Also, I didn't know you did that, cool!" Codie pointedly ignores the 'sweetest lady' part, knowing damn well that's how Karens are. Putting on a sweet innocent act and then showing their true colors elsewhere.
At least she doesn't appear to be a menace at the Coffee Garden. She just has to figure out how to avoid her as a customer now. The ginger whines at the thought.
"Uh, yeah! They're my friends! I was glad to help!" Codie finally replies to Shen. The two then fall into a comfortable silence as she finishes up her shift.
At 5PM, Codie clocks out and waves to Shen. Before she can pass by the counter, however, Shen stops her with a call of her name. "Uh! Could I maybe...get your number? Th-that way we could text to figure out when to play some games?"
Codie nods, figuring it'd be a good idea and the two exchange numbers, with Codie promising to text soon. She exits the building and takes a deep breath, enjoying the crisp, autumn air and leaves towards home in her car.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sun welcomes Codie home excitably with open arms and a big smile. Moon cooks dinner in the background as his brother twirls the girl around. After laughing and Sun sets her back down, Codie straightens up and heads to her room, dumping her things and plopping down onto her bed until dinner.

She takes out her phone and begins texting Chrissy, letting her know she can come over whenever. Shortly after, Moon calls out to her and she gets up, excited for food. The three of them sit and Moon dishes out the meal.

Nothing can go wrong with chicken fettuccine alfredo! As they eat together in silence, Codie's phone goes off. She swallows her bite and checks it. Chrissy can come over! Smiling, she hurriedly texts her back to come over now, missing the questioning gazes of the celestial animatronics.

"Whatcha' doin' there, Starshine?" Sun finally inquires, wondering what she could possibly be smiling at down at her lap.

Embarrassed, Codie lifts her phone and wiggles it, showing off her texts. "Ah, not much. Chrissy, my friend from work, is coming over to hang out. I got excited, that's all." Sun pouts not so subtly as Moon hides his -----.

The bots feel the same thing. Possessiveness. They aren't sure why but it's there and it's a little concerning. Codie doesn't even know they're having issues yet here they are, feeling as if she owes them all of her attention all of the time.

Sun forces a grin, "That's great!" The bitterness goes unnoticed.

Moon's eye twitches. "Your jealousy is showing, Sun. Calm down." Startled, Sun realizes what he's been doing and feeling, now only feeling guilt. While Codie is distracted looking down at her phone, Moon puts a hand to his brother's shoulder. "Don't feel bad, Sunny. You can't help what you feel. And if it makes you feel any better...I feel the same way."

"You do?"

"Of course. I'm coming to terms with how I feel about our dear roommate and I've accepted them completely. The problem is that she doesn't know about our inner struggles and you'll only hurt her if you cause an outburst for something she doesn't even understand."

"Right..." Sun agrees, albeit, somberly. He wants to express his feelings. He does! But those thoughts always make him chicken out. He knows now that he loves her, with all of his nonexistent heart. But then he thinks of his brother and how he loves her, too, and he doesn't want to get in his way.

And then there's Codie, his sweet Sunflower, who he doesn't even know if she reciprocates their feelings. What if she doesn't? What if she only liked him? He couldn't do that to Moonie. What if she only liked Moon? He would be heartbroken.

Lost in thought, Sun comes up with an idea. He could woo her! Like the characters in his story books he used to read the children! Give her flowers, brush her hair, take her out maybe? Yes, yes, yes! He can find out if she likes him and Moon back that way, too!

He starts to quiver in his seat, ignoring the weirded-out look from his brother. Moon has no idea what's going on in his dear counterpart's head but whatever it is, must be good because he's quaking in excitement.

Meanwhile, Codie had finished and cleaned up her plate while the boys were either lost in thought or having some sort of silent conversation. She still doesn't know for sure, but she totally thinks they have some sort of twin telepathy.

She heads back to her room to straighten it up before Chrissy arrives. She's excited to finally have a friend over. It's been so long. She tidies her bed and picks up some scattered clothing.

The noirette finally shows up, knocking loudly and alerting the apartment's occupants. Sun gets up to answer but Moon pulls him back down, shaking his head. "It's Codie's friend. Let her answer, wouldn't want to scare the poor thing."

Sun makes an 'o' with his lips, "Ahh, rightrightright!"

With an excited yelp, Codie bursts out of her bedroom and quickly makes it to the front door, her cheeks flushing at the sight of the boys who caught her in her giddiness. 'I must look like a little kid having a playdate!' she giggles to herself.

Said boys lounge on the couch, watching with amusement and gesturing for the girl to answer the door. She does and Chrissy immediately brings Codie in for a hug. "Heyyy!" she greets.

Codie returns the sentiment, welcoming her into their humble abode. Chrissy turns her head and finally notices the hulking animatronics on the couch. Codie panics and goes to explain hastily but Chrissy squeals loudly before she can speak.

"NO WAY! Is that Sun and Moon!??" All three occupants look at their guest in shock. It wasn't a question filled with disgust it was...excitement and recognition. Sun stands up and walks around to say hello, elated.

"Well hello! Yes, you are correct in your assumptions! I'm Sun and that's my brother Moon!" Chrissy and Sunny share an enthusiastic hand shake, both with big smiles on their faces.

Moon gives the noirette a half wave, still curious on how she knows them. "I knew it! Oh my gosh you guys look so different! Ah! I'm sorry!" Chrissy rubs the nape of her neck, "You probably don't even know me and I'm over here gushing about knowing you... My little sister Ame was at the daycare a lot! I picked her up a bunch."

Sun and Moon fly through their memory files and quickly find a little Ame and their big sister picking her up a lot at the daycare.

"Anyway, you two were always me and Ame's favorite so I kinda fan-girled a bit there...sorry!" Chrissy chuckles.

"No worries! We remember you fondly, Chrissy! And little Ame! Such a pleasure to have her! How were your cosmetology classes?" Sunny asks, swaying in place. Codie steps back, a little disheartened at the scene and retreats into the kitchen to make some refreshments while they catch up.

Codie frowns into the fridge. 'Gee, I didn't think about all the wonderful people Sun and Moon might have met while working...'

Her cheeks burn red as Sun and Moon's eyes burn into hers. "Ah! You remembered that? I had to drop out..." Chrissy explains regretfully. Sun gasps out an 'Oh no!' while Moon asks what happened, knowing how excited she was for it. "I had to quickly get a job to help with some medical bills for my mother. She's all better now! But I'm working at Coffee Garden with Codie to get enough back to re-enroll!"

Sun claps, "Goodie! I would hate for you to miss out on your dreams, friend! And you must bring Ame over some time! I'll bet she'd love to see Moonie again!" Moon rolls his eyes but smiles, knowing Ame was one of the best little stars he's cared for. Not many liked Moon but Ame really did and he never forgot her little, chubby face.

Chrissy gasps, jaw hanging, and squeals again. "YES! Ame would love that!" She pulls out her cell. "Here! Can we swap numbers! We can plan it!" Sun agrees wholeheartedly, pulling out his cell as well.

Codie's eye twitches subconsciously at the exchange and she almost spills the apple juice she was pouring. Actually, she does, knocking over the entire cup full of it. She curses and the loud crash to the floor startles the other three. Moon quickly gets up at the noise, moving over in a few long strides until he's right next to the ginger.

Chrissy and Sun stare while Moon picks up the ginger, with no trouble at all, and moves to the side to avoid the glass. Spluttering, Codie blinks up at her friend. "Do...do I even weigh anything to you?" she asks breathlessly. Seriously, he picked her up like she was nothing!"

Moon smirks wide, showing off his glinting, sharp teeth. "No," he answers simply. "It's like holding a couple of grapes, really."

Codie splutters again, completely taken aback and tries to hide her face, hearing Moon laugh above her. Chrissy and Sunny look on with amused smiles as they finish exchanging numbers.

"Okay! Lemme see the damage, Moonie!" Sun announces, walking around the dividing wall to see the kitchen floor. Moon steps over more, refusing to let Codie go as she wiggles to be let down. She gives up quickly, though. "Oh, goodness! Clean up, clean up!" Sun mumbles, bending down to pick the large shards up.

"You guys need help?" Chrissy asks, peering down from the other side.

"Nonono! It's quite alright, friend! Make yourself comfortable! I'll clean this up lickity split!" Sun waves her off, tilting his hand over the garbage can and watching the sharp glass shards slide down.

"Yeah! Um... My room is on the right! I'll meet you there!" Codie pipes up, once again attempting to get out of Moonie's arms. This darn bot, she swears. Chrissy nods and walks off down the hall.

Sun finally finishes dabbing up the spilled juice and tosses the rag into the sink before turning to assess the girl in his brother's arms. "Now, did you cut yourself anywhere, Lovely?" He quickly scans for any external injuries without waiting for an answer.

"No, m'fine, I just spaced out and knocked it over is all...sorry..." Codie tries to hide her embarrassment, hating and loving that nickname at the same time. Moon tilts his head down, eyes narrowed and a knowing smile on his face. Peering up, she sees this. "Wh-what!?" she gawks.

His smile grows wider. "Nothing." He opens his arms and gently slides Codie out of them. "Run along, your friend is waiting." So she saunters off, looking back at the mischievous bot multiple times with suspicion and furrowed brows before disappearing from view.

"Hey," she puffs out, irritated, "sorry 'bout all that..." she swipes her bangs up and rubs her forehead. Chrissy only smiles and shakes her head.

"Don't worry about it! But you shoulda' told me you lived with those guys!" Codie just awkwardly chuckles, dodging the subject altogether.

"So what did you wanna do? Watch TV? Play some games? Go somewhere?" Codie asks, sitting in her computer chair and swiveling around.

"I'm chill with hanging out here! We can gossip about the things at work we can't while working!" Codie chortles, agreeing and joining Chrissy on the bed. The noirette begins rambling about all sorts of things.

Just as she's getting to the good part, a light rapping on the door grabs their attention. Moon peeks his head in. Codie stands and opens it all the way and notices the glasses of juice in his hands. "Oh! Thank you, Moonpie." She grabs the drinks and he nods with a grin, backing out and leaving without a word.

"Moonpie?" Chrissy snorts when Codie sits back down and hands her a glass.

"Shush. Moonpies are good and it works."

~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You don't think Linda would do something to you at work, do you!?" Chrissy gasps when Codie tells her the story of Linda and what had happened today.
Shrugging, Codie whines. "I-I dunno but I don't want to risk it... but I also can't just hide every time she comes in..." She fingers the discarded glass on her nightstand with worry.
"Maybe it was an empty threat? Linda is usually super sweet when she orders! Not at all how you described her. Maybe she was having a bad day." Codie highly doubts that and she bites back a scoff at the idea.
The ginger flops backwards and stretches out on her bed with a groan. She checks the clock and then asks, "Wanna watch a movie? We can invite the boys."
"Ooo, yes!" Chrissy agrees, jumping in her seat.
With a 'hup!' Codie sits up and exits her bedroom, stepping a foot over and knocking on the boy's door. "Oi!" she calls, "we're gonna watch a movie. Come watch with us!"
The wooden door opens and a bored looking Moon stares down. "What kind of movie?" he inquires. Before she answers, Codie peers behind the lunar bot and spots Sunny drawing on their bed.
"Er," she clears her throat, "I dunno yet. Horror?" Moon grins at that, his red eye lights seemingly glowing brighter.
"Okay. I'll get Sunny." Codie nods, watching Moon leave the door open as he turns around to talk to his brother. Codie heads towards the kitchen to pop some corn and tells Chrissy to go ahead and look for some films.
"I can't believe how cute they are!" Codie frowns at the random statement.
She looks at the back of Chrissy's head and mumbles, "Huh?"
"Sun and Moon! They got upgrades! Before, they were...well not horrible but definitely unnerving. Not to Ame, she loved them regardless! But I understood why some kids got scared at the mere look of Sun or Moon. It sucked how much Fazbear Entertainment prioritized the Glamrock's looks and neglected the attendants, but I'm glad they can express themselves now!"
Codie rolls her eyes. 'What does she know?' She then scolds herself internally for being rude, albeit mentally.
"'M sure they were perfect the way they were..." Codie mumbles just as the microwave beeps so no one could hear her. "Here." She passes a large bowl over to her coworker, who then begins munching happily.
"I picked a newer movie! I saw the trailers and it looks really good!" Chrissy explains, pressing play on the remote. Codie reads the title as it pops up: Smile.
Moon then walks down the hall. "It's not too gory is it? Sun hates gore." Codie turns and sees Sunny peeking around the corner from their doorway. She gives him a smile and waves. He returns it almost shyly.
"I'm not sure... It didn't look gory in the trailers..." Chrissy admits, frowning. Moon beckons his brother over and takes a seat next to Codie.
The Sun skips over, excited to spend time with everyone and not get overly scared or grossed out. "Oooh! I just love movies! But I hate gore! Nonononono! Nosiree! Blood is a nono!"
"O-oh," Chrissy winces, "Well, there isn't no blood, Sun." The bot sags his shoulders, clearly disappointed now. When Moon puts a hand on him, he looks up.
"Just turn your eyes off if you feel you need to, okay Sun? Besides, Codie here will protect you," he smirks, standing and switching places with his brother, basically handing him off to the blushing ginger.
Chrissy smiles at the exchange, almost knowing.
All four soon settle in comfortably and begin watching the scary film.
~~~~~~~~

Codie hugs her friend goodbye later that night, waving and promising to see her at work soon. With a tired huff, Codie stretches and pops her back. 'Ugh, I could use a nice hot bath right about now...'

"Waaaaa! I can never trust you about movies anymore Moonie!" Sun cries, tugging his rays but not hard. Moon snickers at the scene.

"Don't be a baby! The film was great, you're so sensitive." Sun points at him, narrowing his blank eyes.

"I've always been sensitive you know that!" Moon takes his hand and makes a 'blah blah blah' gesture teasingly. Codie stands in the bathroom doorway, enjoying the brotherly banter. She sighs fondly at them before getting caught staring, blushing and retreating.

Her heart pitter-patters against her chest and she takes a deep breath.

She has a lot to think about in the bath tonight.
