Horizon:
"Your social responsibility is absolutely wonderful, boy," Horizon's father spoke in hushed tones, his son huddled in to hear him over the large, bellowing sound throbbing from the speakers at his annual birthday party. "You've gotten around and made me proud again and again. I love you, son."
Horizon blushes, ducking his head. "Dad, you spoil me too much."
"Hardly enough, kid!" his father exclaims heartily. "But you know, I can't help but feel you're not really appreciating life to its full extent."
"Dad?" Horizon mumbles, his golden brows arching and then furrowing at the base of his forehead, a bridge impending the arrival of a ship. "I'm grateful, I truly am."
His father waves a hand through the air, shaking his head. "That's not the issue, not at all! I just mean that you're always so busy helping others with their work and all, maybe you should consider making a digital footprint!"
"You want me to spend my time on a computer?" Horizon asks. "That's... different."
"Think about it, son! The possibilities!" his father crows, bringing up the new laptop Horizon is presented with, opening the lid and typing in the search engine for blogs. "If you try and make yourself an online personality—be it you're posting pictures, making stories, writing quotes, showing the world your daily talents—you have a reference point! People can be astonished by what you post, and this would look amazing if your future employers realized you had a type of showcase for what you have."
"Wow." Astounded, his fingers gliding over the keyboard in a fashion so tender, so loving, that it is as if he is holding the world in his hands (though, quite truly, he possibly is). "I-I'll think about it."
Clapping a hand on his boy's shoulder, his father beams. "That's all I ask! Who knows? Maybe this really could change your life someday."
Never question the universe for change. It is already panning out in front of you.

Celestial:
"You don't see through your eyes anymore," remarks a boy Celestial knows as Sebell. "Not as much as you do with those camera lenses, for sure."
Celestial doesn't reply, the shutter of her HD camera the only answer needed to be said. She crouches down to focus on the way the sunlight hit the ant hill so brilliantly, the gold and the soil stealing her words as she clicks the button with her right finger in ease, a gentle sturdiness to the way she holds the embodiment of her spirit.
Photography class is her excel, her secret armour; a nuclear force to bask in the glory of wind and nature and force without pitiful wooden furniture to slave over. When her class decides to experience a little piece of her world and their world and worlds not yet comprehendible to the human eye.
"Sebell, you might be my partner, but you should try getting your own shots. Don't just stand there and stare," but she doesn't really mind, because this is her forté, her expertise, and she finds pleasure in the fascination his eyes hold for her as she watches film colour.
"You know, you should try entering a contest or posting your pictures somewhere," Sebell mentions to her, staring at the picture in her hands. "You have a pretty good talent. I'm not kidding here, either. You kind of captured the ants haven, Celestial. It's awesome."
She ducks her head and smiles. "Thank you. Really. And you know what? The idea of a blog might sound like a good idea. How about starry gaze?"
But even if she hoped for the planets to align, its axis still throws her off balance.
