Sorry for the long wait.

Date 2: Picnic

Breathe in,

Feel the cold wind across your cheeks.

Take hold of every thought yo have and settle them,

And exhale.

Release all the toxic thoughts and ideas from your mind.

No good will come from them.

Finally, open your eyes.

Darkness is the first thing I see before my vision was suddenly exploded with light. Millions of stars shoot past me in streaks of color making me gasp. The phantom of their heat passed through me and I couldn't help myself from reaching out, as if touch them. Small whispers filled my ears as they spoke to me, comforting me with love and symbols in a different language. I breathed a small laugh as I felt myself float off, chasing after them as they beckoned me to follow. Suddenly, they all stop, no whispers, and no lights. They felt still, and as if they were looking the same direction in awe and fear towards something. Heat tickled my back and I felt myself tense. I felt amusement wafer off of it and couldn't help but turn and breathe out a small gasp of awe, similar to the stars.

A large star was behind me. It so blue that it was almost black. I felt respect for it, respect that I never felt before. Bowing deeply to it, I felt it give off a small pulse of heat, a warning telling me that there was no need. I blushed and stopped bowing. A hint of curiosity pinging into me and I found myself floating towards it. It laughed as I brushed my hand against its fiery mane and jumped back. Another smile was brought to my face as it teased me gently, letting me come close before jumping back at moment. I started giving it a chase laughing but paused as I felt a tug. It paused too, and pulsed a small sadness.

It was time to go. The whispered to me in it's ancient language. I frown and reach out one more time, this time, it let me touch it, as it ingulfed me in it's soft flames. Holding me, as if it could protect me, as if it were begging me not to go. I chocked on a sob and opened my mouth in apologies, but nothing came out. I went to take a breathe in but found no air entering my lungs. I panicked slightly as I struggled to pull in a breathe, my lungs burning as nothing entered and my vision became dark, the last thing I remember is the star hushing me to sleep.

____________

"-y!..... cy!......-ucy! ...LUCY!"

My body moved before I could respond, letting out a spring of magic from my mouth as my eyes snapped open. There were a few shouts and a crash and I slowly let off my attack. I blinked out the blurriness out of my eyes and rubbed them. I looked around me at the damaged and found myself in a field but a large get stream of scorched grass leading to the forest were it busted though multiple trees and kept going out of sight. I cringed and took another look around and saw Natsu, Happy, Avery, and Violet all gaping at me. I flushed and looked away for a moment away in embarrassment. I haven't had an accident like this since I learned about my mother.

Natsu was the first  to respond. Running over and checking me over to look for any injuries. I smile kindly at him as he dragged his hand gently down my side. He paused before dragging me into a strong hug with a sigh of relief. I hugged back in confusion and watched the others walk over (Fly for Avery and Happy). I thought back to what happened before and got flooded with memories. We were training to control our emotion to help Natsu stop having sudden bursts of emotion that causes him to catch everything on fire.

"Um." I hesitated for a moment, should I try to explain myself? "I'm sorry?" Oh gods why did that turn into a question. Violet shook her head in disappointment and Avery face-pawed. Natsu only responded with tightening the hug. Happy looked at me with big watery eyes and opened his paws as if ready for a hug. I rotated my wrist in a motion for him to come. He immediately jumped into it, struggling but scooting in between us. We stood like that for a moment, just holding each other.

For a moment, as my mate's scent enveloped me and his warmth enveloped me, I felt myself feel at home. I felt myself close my eyes and nuzzle his neck, bare inches from my mark on him. He shuttered for a moment, as if it was truly the only thing grounding him. In a way, it might have. I felt a small kiss on my forehead and opened my eyes to see Violet join in on the hug, along with Avery, who rested on our heads. Oh how I wish it lasted forever, but time does move, and so do we.

Happy was the first to leave, claiming how Carla  needed him while awkwardly rubbing the back of his head. It made me look at his suspiciously but after he gave me kitty eyes I had to look away and he made his escape. Violet got a call from the other dragons for a meeting and dragged Avery with her, to which she whined the entire time. It brought out a small laugh from all of us, knowing how much she hated meetings, or doing anything in general.

After, Natsu scooped me up and walked into the house, but not after I sent a little magic to the forest to help speed up fix the damage I created. Instead of sliding into bed, Natsu demanded that I change into more comfortable clothing. He packed up some food into a small basket and I slide into a soft white dress and deciding to go barefoot. I carefully strapped my keys to my thigh so that they wouldn't fall off in any hurried movement.

Together we headed off into the woods. I ran ahead, knowing immediately were we were going. Natsu shouted for me to come back as he chased me, a large smile on his face. I gave a loud whoop before pushing off the ground and flying through the tree branches in complicated loops and hearing my mate follow me with a small hiss.

Trusting my instincts, and the bond, I flew above the tree tops in a vertical line at high speeds. Natsu coming out seconds  after and coming up next to me. with a small smile, we start performing the mate dance, starting off with us twirling around each other towards the sun, to the clouds. As the air became thin and cold, making our breathes fog, we interlocked our arms, tails, and legs before staring to drop. Air rushed past us as we fell at high speeds, none of us letting go as the rush comes rushing up to meet us and at last minute, we broke apart, sending strong streams of fire from our mouths and scorching the floor.

(A/N: sorry for it being grainy)

We landed in the field where the old Guild was built with large smiles, knowing what we did strengthened the bond even more. I could practically feel Natsu's heartbeat as if it were my own. I gave him a kiss on the cheek, relishing in the small sparks that travel through the bond, and took a grab at the basket. Natsu chuckled and danced out of the way while I pouted.

"No can do my love. You gotta wait till I set up." I flushed at the nicknamed and groaned. Smacking Natsu's arm, I laid down in the grass, careful with my wings and tail, and looked at the clouds. There was a noticeable streak of clouds that we made in our fall. I felt myself close my eyes an sunbath for a few.

The sun was warm against my scales and skin. A cloud passed over the sun for a moment and I couldn't help but feel a little saddened that winter was coming. It was my favorite time of the year because of all the beautiful colors that come out due to plats being revived. Winter, its just cold and really bright, but I do have to enjoy watching the snowflakes fall. A shadow loomed over me and I felt the sung go away. My eyes fluttered open to see Natsu hovering over me, adoration in his eyes. He gave a sudden mischievous grin and dropped himself onto me. His weight knocked the breath out of me for the moment and I groaned.

"Get off me you big lizard!" I shouted playfully as I "struggle" to push him off. I felt him suppress a laugh and growled, nipping at my arms and hands gently. I squealed as he started to tickle my sides. Mt struggle to push him off failing as I couldn't stop laughing.

"Well well well, look what we have hear." A familiar voice spoke. Natsu shifted suddenly, blocking them from me and positioning himself in a defensive stance. A deep and loud growl coming out of him. Our mate bound telling me that he is annoyed and angered. The dragon bond pinged and I gasped loudly, pushing  Natsu off me to get up, much to his confusion.

"Rogue! Kagura! It's been a long time, hasn't it?" I bounced over to the two. Kagura looked confuse at my appearance for a moment, then looked at her mate to communicate through the bond. I took this moment to look at the way they look. Rogue's horns has shrunk to little stubs on his head and his wings barely showed past his shoulder. They were wearing matching clothes, grey shirts and black shorts, which was kind of weird. I'm used to seeing Kagura in her usual white blazer and Rogue in his black trench coat. They seem to stop talking to each other for a moment and turned to me just as two powerful arms wrapped themselves around my waist and pulled me back.

"It has, care to explain?" They both raised their eyebrows in union, which reminded me of a time were I got in trouble and Igneel and Metalicana stopped arguing just to yell at me. I shivered at the memory, feeling my mates arms tightened. He gestured for them to follow before throwing me over his shoulder and waling over to where I presume he set up. I got face full of wings and scales, irritated I wacked him with my tail, causing him to stumble. There was a pause before I felt him yank my tail gently. I let out a shout and hit his back as he laughed.

He plopped me down on a blanket, just as I saw the amusement on the couple before us disappear. They kneeled onto the blanket as I fixed my dress that had ridden up during the fall and switched to sitting on my legs. Natsu pulled the basket over and brought out plates and cups before piling them with food. He passed the plates out to all of us, preserving ours so that we can share and leaving the cups to grab juice whenever we want. I popped a grape into my mouth and thought on how to explain it to them. With a nod and swallow I started.

"5 years ago I went up to the mountain to train and become stronger. Once I was there I met a dragon that was injured. After helping heal them, I showed them my celestial spirits, to which my celestials turn against me for a moment." Natsu snorted and my keys warmed. "And in the most creepiest union, they spoke to me about unsealing a seal to which I fell into water and the rest I history." I smiled at them sheepishly. They nodded in understanding, although a bit still confused. We made small chitchat on what I missed, which was apparently, a lot. First things first, Rogue found out they was aromantic and Genderfluid, I was cool with it. They were a little worried at first at my reaction but I just shrugged and told them they can be whatever they feel like they are.

In their relief, they told us that Sting found out he was bisexual by accident. Apparently the boy had been drunk at a party and completely hit on a boy. The boy turning out to be Freed, that had been coming to visit Rogue for relationship advice, and had pound out he was polysexual that way. He had formed a crush on Sting but was struggling because he also had a crush on a boy he had met in the streets and Laxus. Poor boy, being pulled in all sorts of directions before finding out. Must have been so confused and scared.

When everyone was done, we packed up the dishes and blanket and waved them goodbye. I leaned heavily onto Natsu's side, entangling our fingers.

"There's so many things that I missed and had happened while I was gone, wasn't there?" Natsu nodded and gave a small kiss on the forehead before pulling me to the direction of the house. At this moment, I just wanted to it to be us.
