T-the Jura Neekis?! Seriously? I've only seen him play on TV and I even admit he's a pretty big fella. Yeah, big, strong, and fast as well as good. He's been rumored to retire last year but apparently never came around to it. I haven't met him yet during our game against Lamia Scale a month ago because he had some business to attend to. But now he's going to be the captain of the Allied Forces FC?! Someone pinch me!

"Lucy," an annoyed growl brought me back home to Earth.

I glanced at Natsu, who was crouched over a shopping cart eyes half shut annoyed, "Are you gonna buy that carrot or not? You've been looking at that thing for like five minutes now."

"Well I have to closely examine if it's a good carrot or not you know," I picked up the carrot bag in the cart to put the vegetable alongside its brothers.

"It smells like a carrot," Natsu crinkled his nose. "That not good enough for ya?"

I shook my head and started ahead of the shopping cart, Natsu grumbling behind but rolled after me nonetheless.

Jellal dropped us off at the local Wal-Mart so I could get some groceries for the rest next two days. Natsu just wanted to tag along because he didn't have anything better to do. At first I was happy he came but now not so much. I can imagine him being one of those naggy husbands that follows their wife around a whole mall complaining.

He's doing a good job right now.

Too bad he's gonna be someone else's husband while nagging though...

We continued on browsing the produce aisles of fruits and veggies. (Erza is staying over... she and Jellal went to her house to pack then come back to pick us up.)

It didn't take way too long for Natsu to become completely bored. I didn't notice, which was my fault. Because one minute I'm checking out some apples, the next I was lifted off the ground. I didn't squirm but I was shocked.

"Natsu," I growled glaring at him over my shoulder. "What are you doing?"

"I'm bored Luce," he put on his giant kid grin. "So I'm about to make this shopping trip fun."

"What are you -"

I didn't finish. No, more of like I couldn't finish. Because the next moment, my butt was already kissing the cold metal bottom of the shopping cart, half the groceries in the cart already pushed up to the side.

My mind clicked with the winger's plan of action. My hands grabbed the railings on either side of the cart.

"Natsu..." I growled.

But it was too late.

One second I saw an older couple beside us watching with confusion, the next they had to leap to the side as we sped past.

"SORRRY!!!" I shouted at them as Natsu laughed his head off.

Dammit! First chasing down Erza and Juvia in Costco because they threw paper plates at me while I was talking to Liam, now being plunged through the store with Natsu at the wheel. I have got to stop grocery shopping with my teammates!

Natsu grabbed onto the handle, one leg on the metal bar and skated us through the store.

"Alright Luce!" He started shouting. "What you need next?"

"Cereal!" I shouted.

"Gotcha!" He made a sharp turn into the cereal aisle skating down the rest. Other customers just watching us with shock.

Natsu grabbed a box which I thought he did randomly but nope. When he threw it at me, the familiar brand on the box told me he aimed and knew that it was what I wanted.

Krave. He knows me too well. That or he just wanted me to have just in case he broke in one morning looking for food. He loves this, too.

"Next!"

I was starting to enjoy my little cart ride more and more, much to the associates' dismay but they didn't say anything. The customers were just snapping videos of us cart surfing through the store.

We finished grocery shopping and rolled into line fifteen minutes later. I sighed, it would've been faster if Natsu didn't overshoot a whole bunch of the isles and have to take a whole long course to come back.

I had trouble getting out of the cart, much to my displeasure.

"You need help?" Natsu asked.

"No I don't need - hey!" I was lifted up and out of the cart seconds later. Natsu's big hands on my waist.

"There you go," he chuckled. "Nice and easy."

I glared at him over my shoulder but his goofy smile softened my attitude. The sudden memory of our almost kiss during lunch returned with no warning. I blushed involuntarily right there.

I need to remember I can't be with him. That he's someone else's.

I softly grabbed his big hands and removed them from their place on my waist to his side.

"Thanks Natsu..."

"Anytime," the hurt in his voice too clear.

Natsu grabbed a random People's magazine after we unloaded the items onto the belt. I watched the lady in front of us, her seventies taking her time. I didn't mind, I was still recovering from hurting my crush just minutes before.

A little boy no older than three was standing at his grandma's feet, a thumb in his mouth. His brilliant brown eyes met mines for a brief moment. I smiled and waved at him, making him hide behind the old lady's skirt embarrassed. After a few moments, he looked at me through the dress and waved back with an almost scared smile.

"Oh no," the woman suddenly exclaimed digging through her purse. "How much short am I?"

"Twenty-two jewels, ma'am," the gentleman said.

"Did you use all the coupons?"

He nodded, "Every single one."

She glanced at the little boy sadly, "I guess you can not eat those mashed carrot this week."

The boy just stared at his grandmother.

Her face became discontent with that, "Oh well. Can you please -"

"How much does she owe, sir?" I asked... and Natsu, we both sprang forward.

The old lady blinked at us twice but didn't say anything.

"Oh uh," it didn't take the man long to recognize who we were. "T-twenty-two jewels."

I glared at Natsu who was reaching into his pocket for his wallet. No way he's paying. I'd never hear the end of it if he did. My hand shot out and grabbed his wrist, "No way. I'm paying for her."

"Says who, Luce?!" He snapped.

"Says me now go away!"

Our shouting caught attention of everybody else in the line and the line next to us but that doesn't stop either of us.

"Come on let me be a gentleman for once Luce."

"You're never a gentleman to anybody so why start now?!"

"Because I feel like it right now."

"That's your answer?!"

"Uh yeah!"

"You're so lame!"

"But yet you still fell in love with me anyway."

The minute those words left his mouth... I didn't know how to respond but stand there gaping like the very attractive dying fish I am. The audience, though, gasped and many already whipping out their phones to Tweet or whatever they can to get it all over the media.

Natsu's eyes clouded over as he made a quick comment, "Besides. You forgot your wallet in Erza's car, remember?"

Oh riiiight...

"How are you supposed to pay for this lady if you can't even remember your money," he gave me his usual warm smile.

Salamander gently pushed me to the side as he walked up to the cashier and the shocked old lady, "Twenty-two jewels, correct?"

"Y-yes sir."

The old lady grabbed Natsu's bicep, "I appreciate your gesture but I can never put you through that kind of trouble sir."

"It's fine," the golden Fiore credit card already in his hand. "For the future generations. They need some food in order to grow."

"But still..."

Natsu shook his head, the warm smile for me was now on the old lady, "It's on me, Miss. No worries."

Before the old lady can say anymore Natsu slid the golden card along the machine.
