~{Patton's POV}~

As I walk home from school, I hear my phone play out a cheerful ding, meaning Vi texted me. I pull my phone from my back pocket to see what he said.

Vi: Heya PC. School over yet?

I smile as I text him back.

Me: Yeah! I'm walking home now!

Vi: Wanna play MagiCrest when you have the time?

Me: Sure! I need to upgrade some of my skills, too. So maybe we could do some quests?

Vi: Hell yeah, I'm down. I need to go, I'm getting on the bus. See ya, PC.

Me: Bye kiddo!

I pressed send and put the phone in my back pocket of my beige pants. I seen my house in the distance. My smile grew wider and started to run to the place I call home. As I get just outside the door, I can smell apple pie. "Did mom make pie while I was gone?" I asked myself quietly. I walk up to the red stained wooden door, and grabbed my keys out of my pocket and unlocked the door. 

As I close the door, the smell of apple pie gets stronger. I quickly walk to the kitchen and I see my mom sitting at the kitchen table with a freshly baked apple pie in the middle, reading a book we had gotten at the library. Speaking of library, we need to return the books soon. My mom looked up once I put my bag down and sat at the table.

"Hello honey, how was school?" She asked calmly. My mom is a very calm person, and only gets mad during certain occasions. "Just like every other day! But I did bump into someone today." I said while digging my homework out of my bag. "Was it that Logan boy you always talk about?" She asked. I shook my head in response. "No, but it was a boy that hangs out with him! He really reminds me of Vi."

She smiles. "How is Vi doing? Is he doing well?" I nodded and smiled. "Good. I'm glad to see his mental health get better." She said, going back to her book. I pick my bag up and stand. "I'm gonna go to my room to do my homework. Love you, Ma!" I say. "Love you too, sweetie!" She said and smiled. I rush up the stairs to my room and close the door. I start on my homework. Most of it was Maths and English, but the rest was relatively easy.

And two hours later, and I put up the fee pages of homework due for the next day and I turn on my computer and computer monitor. I wait a few seconds and it boots up to my frog screensaver. I hover over the MagiCrest icon and click on it. I wait for that to boot up and when it does, I'm welcomed to the fantasy esque login screen. I type in my username and password and sign in.

My character pops up along with the default background music. My character is a calico-maine coon Felidae, or a half cat, half human hybrid who I named Fudge. I text Vi and ask what region he's in. He says he's at the Kothana region, and I pull up my map and teleport there.

A few seconds of walking around the area, I see Vi's character. The character is a Usnela, a spider-human hybrid. From what he's told me, the character is a type of tarantula called a Cobalt Blue. The character is a mainly blue human with many eyes and spider legs on the back of the character. They also have the fangs of normal tarantulas.

We went on a few quests, mainly to gather exp and materials for our characters. An hour later I realize that it's basically already 9 pm. I message Vi and tell him I have to log off for the night. He tells me okay and then I log off and shut down my computer for the night. I plug up my phone, change into my pajamas and then get into bed.

I woke up to my phone dinging every other minute. I sit up and rub my eyes, put on my glasses and then get up to get my phone. There I see it, 12 messages from Vi. I panic and quickly open my phone and read through the messages.

2:08 am
Vi- PC are you up?

2:10 am
Vi- you probably aren't, it's two am

2:11 am
Vi- I know that I should be asleep but I just had a panic attack and I can't sleep

2:11 am
Vi- I did all the things you told me to do when I start having one, and I did calm down a little

2:13 am
Vi- you're gonna wake up in the morning and I will regret this with every fiber in my being

2:29 am
Vi- okay I just calmed down and I should be able to sleep.

2:31 am
Vi- goodnight, PC

I then look at the time. It's 5:04 in the morning. I then look at his status, saying he was last online 3 hours ago. I take a deep breath. "I'll text him back in an hour or two, he needs his sleep." I said to myself and looked out my window. The sun was just coming up and the sky still looked slightly gray from the night sky. Sunrises are always pretty this time of year. I sit on my window sill and watch the sun come up.
