jiae choked on a laugh as he continued. "i want the kids. you can have them every other weekend." forcing herself to breathe, jiae changed the call from audio to facetime, showing hyuck their plants through her camera.

"they say they love me more," she teased as she lovingly brushed a finger against one of chicken wing's leaves.

it was quiet for a moment after their giggles died to silent smiles. jiae turned her camera off and propped her phone against her shoulder as she picked up and held the smallest plant in her hands.

then, she asked, "how did you come up with dalmi? for our plant daughter, i mean."

there was some gentle shuffling on the other end, and haechan hummed softly as he thought of his response. "it's a pretty name. one that goes well with ours—and bernice and chicken wing, of course." jiae chuckled. "but i don't know. i like it. it suits her. there aren't many dalmi's, so she'll be unique. she'll grow well with it. any and all plant children of ours will."

jiae's face burned a dark shade of pink. she didn't think they were talking about plants anymore.

quietly, she asked, "hyuck?"
