You knew that being on tour was hard for Tom – he was such a family orientated guy so not being in his home town made everything pretty crappy for him.

The two of you had been in a relationship since you were both in school; you had been there since the start and you could even explain how proud you were of Tom.

Being able to see your boyfriend living out his dream was an indescribable feeling.

McFly were playing their last show of the tour up in Edinburgh in Scotland, which as of the most impressive cities in Britain.

As a surprise for Tom, you, Carrie and Peter had headed up to Edinburgh that morning to be able to go to the show and see him, as you knew that Tom had been missing home so much.

Of course, you had spoken to Tom at least once every single day, so it wasn't as if you hadn't had any contact whatsoever.

The only person that knew about you, Carrie and Peter coming was Harry, because you needed someone to arrange getting into the venue without too much hassle and such.

Arriving at the venue, Carrie turned to you, "You excited?" she quizzed with a massive smile on her face.

You couldn't help but smile yourself "Most definitely" you stated in response to her.

The three of you walked backstage ever so slightly, but not far enough that Tom might see you.

Harry soon came out, and quickly pulled you into a hug "God it's so great to see such a familiar face" he greeted you, making sure to keep you in a hug for as long as possible.

Once Harry released you and greeted the other two, he explained the plan of how the night was going to go.

The way it was going to work was you, Carrie and Pete would be in the third or so row back from the stage; halfway through their set, Harry was going to tell Tom that there was a surprise for him and that would be when you went up on stage.

Son enough the show began, and you found yourself enjoying the show just as much as you always had done.

Every single time you saw them perform, you were reminded of how talented your boyfriend was.

Before you knew it, the concert was halfway through and Harry had come out from behind his drums with a mic in his hand.

Tom, Dougie and Danny all looked confused at what their fellow bandmate was doing but Harry just had a smirk on his face.

"Now Tom" Harry spoke into his mic, gaining the curiosity of your boyfriend, "We have a surprise for you" Harry stated, signalling for the lights to land on you.

Carrie squeezed your arm in excitement before you walked out from your seat, making your way over to the stage.

By the time, you reached the stage, Harry was standing there and holding his hand out to you, which you took, to help you up onto the stage.

Tom had taken his guitar off and was standing in, what seemed to be, shock.

"I present your surprise Mr Fletcher" Harry told Tom through his mic, and Tom ran over to you, enveloping you in a hug.

"I love you so much" Tom whispered in your ear as he continued to hold you tightly.

You smiled against Tom's chest before pulling away slightly to look up at him, "Did you like the surprise?" you asked.

Tom nodded with a smile on his face "Isn't it obvious that I did" he told you.

He glanced back at his bandmates momentarily, before getting down on one knee as Danny ran over to hand him a mic.

"So, Y/N" Tom cautiously started to speak "We've been together for a long time now, and I wasn't anticipating on doing this tonight but I might as well give it a shot" he explained, slightly rambling on, "I would like to know if you, Miss Y/N Y/L/N, would do me the honour of marrying me?" he questioned, leaving the whole of the crowd waiting in anticipation just as much as Tom.

You nodded in response to Tom "Of course I would" you answered him making him smile greatly as he stood up to hug you once again.

"I don't have the ring with me or anything" he admitted after the two of you pulled away from the hug.

You reached up and pressed a kiss to his lips "That's okay, I'm just happy you asked" you spoke in a soft tone.

Tom nodded, and then looked to his bandmates who were all smiling along with the crowd who were clapping and cheering.

"Maybe I should go back to my seat" you suggested to Tom "Carrie and Pete are down there" you quickly told him.

Tom kissed you quickly "Go on then Love – I'll see you after the show"
