Harry Styles- Festive: Part 1 (h)

The festive season always made you feel more nostalgic about when you were growing up – how your parents decorated the house, the build up to Christmas and just being able to celebrate.

With you and Harry having been together for just over three years, you'd already spent three festive seasons together and this year was going to be your fourth.

It was tradition that you and Harry always went home to Anne in Holmes Chapel, along with Gemma going back too and the rest of Harry's family.

Harry had decided to drive up from London, even though it was over a three-hour drive.

You could drive but Harry always wanted to be the one that drove places, so you were in your usual role of chief snack giver.

"Are you looking forward to our fourth Christmas together?" you questioned Harry as he drove.

He chuckled, reaching over to place his hand on your thigh. "It feels pretty good that we've gotten to it."

You laughed whilst putting your hand over his. "I mean not many people thought we would so we're doing great."

When the two of you first started going out there was a lot of worry over whether or not you'd be able to handle the weight of Harry's job along with how much he was in the spotlight.

Of course, it was somewhat terrifying to get used to, but you wanted to be with Harry, so you learnt how to get used to it.

"In my defence, I always had faith in you," he joked.

You rolled your eyes. "Nice one Styles," you commented. "At least Anne was all for us."

He nodded in agreement with a smile on his face. "My Mum knew you were the one the moment she met you."

Even though you'd been together for a long time, he still managed to make you blush so easily.

And as always Harry noticed so a smirk made its way onto his face. "When you were off in the kitchen with Robin, she pulled me aside and told me not to let go of you."

The blush only grew at your words. "God, I love your Mum."

He chuckled, squeezing your thigh as he turned off the junction towards Holmes Chapel. "You're her favourite child.

You couldn't help but laugh at Harry's comment and leant over to press a kiss to his cheek.

"She keeps pestering me about when you're going to be her daughter officially," he admitted.

Of course, you wanted to marry Harry, but you weren't going to pester him into asking you.

He just chuckled as you looked at him. "She didn't get an answer, and neither will you."

You rolled your eyes at him again. "So, you don't want to marry me then huh?"

"What if you don't want to marry me?" he countered as he chuckled to himself.

"Where's the fun in telling you my answer before you even ask me?"

Harry just laughed as you turned to look out of the window, but unbeknownst to you Harry had picked out the perfect ring for you over a year ago with the intention of asking you over Christmas.

He just hoped you'd say yes.
