PT.1

Trust issues. When someone has been hurt, naturally they become hesitant to put themselves in the same position twice. They might tip toe along the edge, only a breath away from falling onto one side, but they also might do everything in their power to be sure that doesn't happen. The funny thing about love is, is that sometimes it just happened weather you want it to or not! And when Victoria found herself hanging out with a group of her closest friends, her mind began to realize just that...

"How important should love be in anyone's life?" One of her friends asked casually. Another one of her friends began talking, answering his question while Victoria began to get lost in thought.

Usually She would feel that love- in a romantic sense anyway- isn't necessary for anyone to achieve true happiness.... but as of lately there has been one person she hasn't been able to get off of her mind. No matter how many distractions she went searching for, no matter how deep she hurried herself in her work, her mind always went back to you and something you had said to her at one time or another.

Being someone who's life was always in the spotlight, it had become pretty normal to have people pursuing her for her attention, however you were just more persistent than the rest and furthermore your intentions were always pure. You were always upfront with Victoria about your feelings for her. She found you likeable from the start which led you two to becoming close friends. But still there would be times late at night when you would find yourselves talking over the phone where you would simply be still and tell her how each and every time you looked at her you would see this immeasurable beauty that made your heart skip a beat; or how you loved small things about her for example the way she laughed at your corny jokes and the way she would tease you for never picking up on her sarcasm. She made you feel all the things, and you told her every chance you got. And if she knew one thing for sure, she knew you were always sincere.

Perhaps that sincerity was to blame for you taking up all this space in her mind. And it was at this moment, as she began to look back at all the things you made her feel over your time of knowing each other, she began to realize that you were not only taking up space in her mind, but in her heart as well. This thought frightened her as much as it made her feel full with butterflies and joy.

"Where'd you go? You zoned out on us V." You giggled as you tapped her shoulder knocking her out of her thoughts.

She looked up at you and for the first time was unable to run from the undeniable love she felt for you; so instead she drank a glass of wine.

"I think- no I'm pretty sure that I know that I'm in love with you."

You stared at her for a moment while the rest of her friends went dead silent.

"Wha- what?"

"I feel sick-" she muttered to herself.

"If you're just playing thats not a very funny joke V." you mumbled as you looked at the floor sadly.

"I'm not joking." She said; avoiding eye contact with you as much as possible.

"Alright guys I actually have to go... train my pet car" One friend said as he rushed to gather his things and get out of that room as quickly as possible.

"Righttttt I actually need to help potty train my grandmother— "another said. This went on and on until you and Victoria were the last two people in the room...
