"Ash!" Anku yells and Ash drops the CD from her hand.

"What? Why are you yelling?" She asks Anku, placing a hand on her heart.

"Why is this not playing?" Anku asks Ash, looking at the not working music system.

Ram chooses the exact same time to enter the hall. Hearing Ash being yelled at, and that too by Anku, he lets out a chuckle.

Both the heads turn to him and he covers the chuckle with a cough. Ash glares at him and Anku glares at Ash.

"Sorry, Continue", he says and winks at Ash.

Seeing him walking towards the sofa, Anku asks him, "What the hell are you doing here?"

"What? Why can't I be here?", Ram asks and Ash smirks from behind Anku.

"Why are you looking at me like that?",Ram asks Ash and Anku creases her brows and turns back to see Ash looking at Ram in a way that shouted 'You-are-so-gone-now'.

Seeing that, Anku narrows her eyes and Ash gives her her best smile.

To escape Anku's another panic attack, Ash says,"I am going to check the caterers."

Ram comes near Anku and whispers,"What is going on here?"

"You were supposed to keep Chinu busy until we told you to. What are you doing here and where is Chinu?" Anku asks him and his eyes widen.

"What? When was I supposed to do that?", Ram asks in a complete shocked state, listening to which Anku stares at him, unable to say anything.

Right at that moment, Ash comes in holding her phone and says "Caterers checked!"

Listening to her, Anku tells her what Ram had just told her.

"What do you mean by when were you supposed to do that? That was the only task assigned to you!" Ash yells at him.

"No. I was supposed to get the cake! Ash, you decided to keep him busy." Ram says, looking at her

"How will I leave this place? I'm one of the main organizers here!" Ash says back to him.

"That was UDM's task", Anku adds in a clipped tone.

Just as they're arguing, Rama and Poorna, who were busy in decorations, also come there, listening to the noise.

"Boss, what happened?" Rama asks Ash.

Just then, UDM and Shameem also enter, carrying a cake with them.

Seeing all of them yelling at eachother, they both look at eachother in a shocked state.

Then Shameem clears her throat and says,"Guys, what's going on here?"

"Does anyone know where Chinu will be at this point of time?", asks Anku in a tensed voice and tries to take deep breathes.

Listening to that, undoubtedlymine asks,"What do you mean? Who was supposed to be there with Chinu boss each minute today?"

"This tragedy lover." Ash says, angrily staring at Ram.

"Monster!" UDM says frustratedly.

"Instead of arguing, let's think of where he would be right now, okay?" Poorna, the only sane one in the group suggests.

"I'll call him and ask where he is at the moment", suggests Rama, to which everyone nods.

After a few minutes, however, Rama sighs and says,"He isn't picking up my call."

"Yeah, 'the man of few words' won't pick up the call now so that he won't to speak anything", mutters Anku.

"Anku, I'm tensed." Ash tells her, her demeanor changing completely.

"Me, too, Ash." She replies, tapping her feet in nervousness and at the moment, her eyes fall on the incomplete decorations in the hall and she says,"Nothing is going as per plan. Even the decorations haven't been completed. We are way before time."

Listening to her, Poorna says,"Decorations are my and Rama's  responsibility. We'll do that in time. You need not worry about that, I assure you."

But all of them can't stop thinking where the birthday boy was! They could not afford to get their surprise revealed before time.

"Where could he be, boss?" Rama asks Ash, wondering if she had any idea.

"I know a few places, but I also know that he isn't stupid enough to go there after knowing that we could go to search for him. Plus, he doesn't know this place well." Shameem replies to Rama.

Just when everyone is tensed, Rama notices a ghost of smile creeping onto Shameem's face.

She just follows Shameem's gaze and the smile creeps on her face too.

"And what place can that be? I can go and check", says Ram.

"Yeah, you better do that monster",says UDM glaring at him.

"Boss, me and Poorna will get back to the decorations." Rama says and pulls a confused Poorna with her.

"Undoubtedlymine, we should keep the cake in the fridge before something happens to it. Let's go to the kitchen." Shameems says to UDM and drags her, too.

Confused at what was happening, Ash and Anku share a look while Ram slowly goes to the entrance.

"Anks, try Chinu's number once more, please." Ash says to Anku, who does that.

And as soon as she can hear the rings on the phone, a music plays from right behind them. Both of them turn behind swiftly and notice Chinu standing there with an amused smile on his face.

Seeing him, Anku and Ash take a moment to digest the fact, while Rama, Poorna, Shameem and Undoubtedlymine come back in the hall, each of them grinning widely.

"Idiot! I was worried for you. Why weren't you picking up the call?", Ash yells at Chinu.

Chinu chuckles and says,"If I had picked up your call then wouldn't I disclose my position to the person who brought me here?"

"What do you mean?", asks Anku in a confused tone.

Chinu points towards Ram and says," He brought me here, though he himself didn't know."

Seeing everyone's confused faces, he chuckles again and says," I followed him without letting him know after I saw him in the bakery, ordering a birthday cake for me."

Anku turns towards Ram and glares at him,"All this is your fault."

"Wait a minute, did you people know he is here", Ash asks Shameem.

"Yeah, all aren't non-observant like you two. I saw the expressions of Rama and Shameem. It wasn't really difficult to guess, you know.",says Ram, a little proudly.

"Says the one who didn't observe that he's being followed.", mutters Anku.

"Anyways, what's important is that you're fine.", Anku says, looking at Chinu.

"You're the only one that cares for me, Anku." Chinu says in a thankful tone.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." Ash replies, knowing very well that the dialogue was directed towards her.

"Now what are we waiting for?" Shameem asks before adding, "Let's get the party started!"

"Yeah, but the decorations haven't ended yet", says Poorna.

"And even the music system isn't working", Anku says.

Chinu smiles and says,"Nothing matters when my friends are there with me."

"You're absolutely right, boss. I'll bring the cake", says undoubtedlymine.

Chinu blows the candles and cuts the cake which everyone enjoys eating.

After the eating is over, Ash suddenly blindfolds Chinu and says, "This was just the beginning, enemy. There's a lot more to come."

Being blindfolded, Chinu just senses that he is being taken from one place to another. And next, when he sees, he is in some hotel's large hall, where some more of his friends were gathered.

Then he notices Ash and Anku climbing a raised platform and discussing, more like whispering something.

After few minutes, Anku grabs Ash by both of her shoulders and forces her to step down from the stage.

"What have these people really planned?", was the only question hovering in his mind.
