Thalapathy Vijay is the emperor of box office when it comes to South India and especially Tamil Industry . I am not degrading any other stars , they are box office magnets and profit collectors too . But Thalapathy is a step higher to all of them .

If you closely observe his box office graph from the start you will understand his growth and undisputed dominance .

His first 10cr was poove unakkaga , 

He reached 15 crores with kadhalukku mariyadhai ....

 20 crores with movies like Love today , Freinds and Thulladha manamum Thullam ...

25 crores with movie like Khushi , priyamanavale and Priyamudan ....

30- 35 crores with Thirumalai ....

A sudden and big leap to 50 crores with Ghilli ....

Then 55-60 crores with Thirupaachi ....

He maintained the same figures with movie like Sivakasi , Madhurey and  Sachein ....

Until the huge leap to 75 crores with Pokkiri ....

He had a hard time maintaining those figures during 2007 -2010 period . But still did it . Vettaikaran and Villu were one of the highest grossers of that period 

But then he resurrected his box office status with movie like Kavalan , Velayudham and Nanban .

Then a huge leap to 125 crores with Thuppakki ...

Thalaiva and Jilla weren't huge hits but still brought back the money . In fact Jilla was the pongal winner of 2014 and Thalaiva earned a place in top 10 tamil grossers in countries like France and Australia .

The he showed who is the boss with Kaththi being his second 100 crores grosser and collecting close to 120 crores . While many of his Co-tier 1 stars were still struggling to gross one 100 crore film .

Puli was our only flop since 2011 but still even this collected close to 95 crores .  

Then he came back with Theri which collected close to 150 crores and emerged as the only blockbuster of the year 2016 . 

Bairavaa which was an average too collected 100 crores in 4 days despite the strike in Mollywood and the TN jallikattu protest . 

Then he made an another huge leap with Mersal to 250 crore . Despite release of many other biggie movies Mersal is the only movie to break the Bahubali 2 collection of 120 crore in TN . 

If you see the graph you will understand that it is rising steadily not like few other actor's graph which show the rise as if it was a price hike . Too sudden and too high not even leaps . 

Mersal's TN collection alone is 150 crore which is equal to his so called rivals' world wide collection . (Not to hurt anyone but this is a fact . )

Even Rajini couldn't break the day one record of Mersal with Kaala in Tamil Nadu , Kerala and France etc .

It is time to open Non vijay records in box office too . 

This movie was not even hyped as an international level movie or had a legendary director . Atlee might be a good director but he is just 2 films old and we all know that Thalapathy is one of the main reason for his growth as a star director and the success of the movies . Adding to that his previous movie was also an average grosser . 

But still it emerged to be 5th highest South Indian grosser . ( All the above four were pan Indian movie .) *Source : IMDB *. It outran many Hindi releases in overseas . *Check Rentrak .*  It ran for almost 50 days . Which is a very tough job in this era .

Every actor has his own strong zone and once again I am not degrading anyone else . Aana unmaya othukaradhula thappu enna ? ( What's  wrong in agreeing with  the truth ? )

Haters and others (not genuine fans ) , Admit it , thalapathy is in another level now and it's his era completely . He is unrivalled .

You know what thalapathy is the only actor in whole Tamil industry to break rajini's records and collect more than him . The best part is he didn't do this now in recent past but way back in 2004 with industry hit Ghilli (the first 50 crore grosser of south India .) Naangalaam appo ve apdi !!! 😎😉

Once this book ends I will concentrate on my fictions . Will miss this book very badly though .....
