June 22nd 1974 

This was the day when the birth of a legend happened . 

On this day , a baby boy was blessed to veteran director S.A Chandrasekhar and his wife Shobha Chandrasekhar . The baby had bright eyes and rarely cried .

Cute baby isn't he . 

As a child he was a very naughty kid . He used to be very energetic and equally jovial . He used to do all kinds of monkey acts . He used to tease his friends . He used to scare his mom and complain to her about the huge carriage she sent with him .He was a theri baby . He had a heart of gold at such a young age . He used to buy his friends pencils ,rubbers and notebooks etc .

It's a bit lengthy but a sweet one . She has told about an incident about her son here in this interview . I would like to share it with you guys . Indha ulagathiliye sarre ku size ketta mothal aal namma Thalapathy thaan . Adhu enna na .... padinga .( Thalapathy is the first one in the whole world to ask size for a saree )

This was the time when his career was in the early stage . He got an opportunity to act under an outside banner for the first time for the film Vasnatha Vaasal . His first salary from outside was rupees 2000/- . He decided to buy a saree for his mother and gift her . He went to the shop with his friend Sanjeev . The thing is he called his mother and asked her what her saree size was . Shobha amma was confused for a while and when she understood what her son meant she had a fit of laugh . Adhukku aprom  thaan thalapathy ku saree ku size irukaadhu nu therinjadhu . Aiyoo thalapathy ......

So ipdi paraparapa irundha namma thalapathy epdi silent aitaaru ? ( Then how did this naughty kid become the epitome of silence ?) 

Actually it has a tragic story behind it . Thalapathy had a sister named Vidya . He loved her unconditionally . He used to walk on hands on the roads just to see her laugh . Thangachi mela avlo paasam . But fate didn't like it . It killed his sister infront of his own eyes . She died of a kind of cancer in his own arms . He couldn't bear his sister's death . He became silent and too calm . Eppo sister paththi topic vandhalum thalapathy romba azhudhuvaar nu avaroda amma solluvaanga . His silence became his distraction to his grief . He still remembers her and does no shootings on her birthday . 

Thalapathy paavam la , but anna you have millions of sisters and brothers in form of fans like us.
