Chapter two- Locked Away
Nobody's P.O.V.
A man dressed in all black walked towards a guarded and rusted iron gate, the entire concrete building on the other side of the gate was surrounded by nothing but land for at least a couple miles. Two armed and armored guards stepped in the way of the man and the female at his side. They both stopped about half a foot away from the two guards, the female crossing her arms in annoyance.
"We have an appointment with one of your latest clients." Said the man. The two guards looked at each other for a brief moment before they stepped aside. The guard on the left looked up towards the watch tower and gave a thumbs up to the man operating the gates.
The gates opened painfully slow, and as soon as there was a big enough gap to walk through, the man and woman made their way through and into a courtyard belonging to a correctional facility. They both made their way to the rusted metal doors that marked the entrance, but were yet again blocked by two more armed and armored guards. Luckily, the door opened from the inside, and a woman with short red hair stepped out.
"Oh, good you made it." She said, elbowing one of the guards slightly. He seemed to get the message and stepped to the side, his buddy following not even seconds after.
The man and his female counterpart walked past the two guards and through the doors, which the woman was holding open for the two.
When they both began walking through, it became very clear that this wasn't an ordinary correctional facility.
Every couple steps, there was a cell specialized for its occupants.
One had sound and shatterproof glass for the woman inside of it, along with padded walls.
Another had simple rusty bars, but there seemed to be a clear dome around a bald man. It was tinged slightly blue, and the man was completely yellow, every couple seconds trying to rip and punch his way out of the dome, which just rippled and went back to normal.
The hallway was long, and seemingly endless and full of different people with different restraints and abilities waiting and begging to be let lose, but all the the man and woman did was ignore them. Finally, the end of the hallway came into view, and it seemed to be the only lit cell in the entire area. The light gave off a blue-y green-y glow, and sitting on a metal bench attached to the wall sat a girl with oily and dirty blonde hair, a certain spot by the top of her head seeming to be covered in dried blood.
The girl had her head hung, and her wrists were in chains that were attached to the wall just behind her, allowing her to keep her arms by her sides, but nothing more.
Hearing the three approach her cell, the girl looked up slowly through her dirty hair, and her face didn't seem to be in any better condition than the rest of her bloodied and dirty body. Her face had multiple bruises and cuts on it, as well as dirt and sweat, but what seemed to be the most noticeable, were the clear tracks that went straight down her face from her eyes.
Tear tracks.
"Alexis," the red headed girl spoke, taking a small step closer to the cell, "you have some visitors."
Alexis's P.O.V.
I didn't want any visitors.
I wanted to get out.
I didn't do anything wrong!
Hell, I didn't even know what was wrong with me!
I just want to go home.
"Just leave me the hell alone," I mumbled, looking down at the ground once again. "Unless I'm getting outta here, don't fucking talk to me."
And you know what happened?
A guy there laughed at me.
"She really is somethin' ain't she?" A man asked, presumably the same one who laughed at me. I wouldn't know, I didn't look up again. I just started getting really fucking pissed.
"I said shut up!"
I screamed, slamming my hands down in anger. It was all I really could do, and frankly, all I wanted to do. Whatever I did before....
I was just afraid of whatever the hell I did.
"Mr. Fury, are you sure about this?"
Taylor - the red headed chick - asked, almost in a pleading like tone.
"She is very unstable, and that object-"
"Dog tag."
"Whatever,"
I couldn't help but smirk.
"It's very dangerous. Our best personnel haven't even begun to understand it's capabilities, let alone where they came from."
As I stared at the ground, I could see someone's shoes stop just outside the bars. I didn't care to look up at whoever the hell it was.
"That's the beauty of it Mrs. Taylor; we don't need to understand it. All we need to do is control it." The same man spoke again, and I guessed his name was Mr. Fury.
"Sir, there isn't anything you can control. It's completely unpredictable." Taylor tried to reason with him, but he seemed like the stubborn type.
"Then we predict it. Could you please unlock Ms. Parr? I believe that she's ready."
At that I finally looked up.
"Wait, I'm getting out?"
It didn't even cross my mind that I was looking directly at the director of SHIELD, all I cared about was getting the fuck out of this place.
"Under certain circumstances, yes you're getting out. Mrs. Taylor."
Though she looked extremely reluctant, Taylor opened the door with a key and walked over to me, unlocking the cuffs around my wrists one at a time. I nearly ran out of the cell, but then I remembered that I didn't know where the hell to go, or what these people could do to stop me. I merely rubbed my raw wrists and slowly walked out. I stopped right at the entrance to what used to be my cell, because the man stepped in front of me with his arms behind his back.
"Alexis Parr, I'm Director Nick Fury, this is agent Hill, and from here on out you will be placed under SHELID observation and training, any direct in compliance to the rules put in place will result in immediate arrest, as you are deemed a powered threat to society. Do you understand?"
Hold on, powered threat?
Danger to society?
Training?!
"I'd like an explanation before I join anything-"
"An explanation will be given to you as soon as you are brought to SHEILD headquarters where you can be monitored." Agent Hill spoke up, crossing her arms. "I suggest you don't keep him waiting on an answer."
Ooooo, now I was starting to get pissed off. I was about ready to hit someone, but thought it was against better judgement to pick a fight with these guys. Right now, at least.
I let out an annoyed breath and clenched my fists. "Fine."
"Good," Nick Fury started, "Mrs. Taylor, it is my understanding that you do have a sort of clean up area here, would you mind showing Alexis? I'd think she'd like to have a shower before we go."
