Irene wrapped her fingers around the trigger, her eyes focussing on the target, covered with protective goggles to enhance her shot. She waited for the training stimulus to begin. One swift movement from the corner of her eye had her turning, the sound of shots ringing out as she fired twice before turning to the next and then the next, the repetitive cycle becoming more vicious by the second. Her lunges, her shots were precise to the point that if the target was living they wouldn't have survived her fury. She slammed the gun down, the stimulus ending as Wendy entered. "Geez Rene, are trying to destroy everything." She rolled her eyes wrapping some straps around her fists walking towards the punching bag that hung lifelessly in the centre of their training room. Her fists connected with the leather material as Wendy looked on in concern at her friend. "Rene-" she was cut of with a powerful slam against the bag. "The mission was a success why are you acting like this?" Irene continued her abuse against the bag. "Is this about that guy?" Wendy questioned watching as Irene turned to glare at her. "So it is..." Wendy paused, this situation was rare, almost unheard of in their world for Irene to be sulking over a man in her terms. "What happened between you two?" Irene stopped, grabbing her water bottle. "We had sex." Wendy's eyes bulged slightly at the revelation. "You did what now?" She screeched, holding Irene by the arms. "You never do that. What the fuck." She shouted, Irene rolling her eyes. "Well it called for it, so I did." "Rene-" "End of conversation wends." "But-" Irene sighed. "Please." Wendy cast her one more look, before giving up deciding to leave the older girl to her solidarity. Irene rested her head on the bag, sweat dripping from her head slightly as she closed her eyes. Her mind flashing back to the previous night, her cheeks flushed at the mere thought of the man who had her weak in the knees from the very outset. She cursed loudly as she punched the bag again. Her mind telling her it was one night and the reality of something happening was next to nothing. This is why she didn't sleep around, she knew herself well enough to know she got attached easily, her strong persona falling in the face of love, and god he worshiped her body like no other. She raised her hand holding the bag as her forehead rested against the material again, her mind screaming at her to stop being delusional and get back to where she was before she had coincidentally or not met this stranger. She had bigger things to worry about. Bigger things to accomplish with the death of Suho marking just that. She couldn't let whoever he was mess this is up. She had been working tirelessly and endlessly for the past years to ensure the fall of the corrupt government that forced her into this life. The government sworn to protect was useless and she was going to expose this fact to the world, she would break their resolve from within and she would do it her way. She was the epitome of destruction, with death coursing through her veins. They had shot at her numerous times, laughed at her pain, mocked her for who she was and now they were going to pay. Each and every single one of them. Her battle had just started and it would play and end on her terms and her terms only.
She left the training area, the door resounding with a large bang as Suelgi and Yeri looked at each other as she left. They didn't need to ask the questions, they could easily work out what was wrong and they left her to her own accord for her peace of mind and for their lives knowing just how versatile their leader was with her moods.
Irene sighed as she sat in her chair hours later, file after file being brought to her with the same details regarding her finances, every single business she owned along side the girls was always thriving, evergreen in what they achieved. The success was hard earned by them all, the years of suffering somewhat hidden with their demeanour and outlooks yet they never forgot the reasons as to why they stood in front of the world the way they chose too. Irene rubbed her temples turning away from the files to look at her phone a message from her friend and private investigator Kai. The two had always gotten along well, Irene taking him under her wing and guiding him through this complicated world that they lived in, she taught him how to balance the dual nature of their lives and always extended her warmth and hospitality to him whenever he needed anything and he was the same with her, their relationship somewhat like siblings, both flourishing with each other. Kai was like a brother to all five of them, working endlessly to secure their stability and safety whilst managing his own profession. He was close with them all, and he loved each and everyone of them like family. She had asked him to take a look into this mysterious man who had her heart racing with merely one thought, his message detailing nothing useful. She sighed, he was like a ghost, no she corrected in her mind. He was today's batman. She sighed rubbing her temples. These seven boys were up to something yet she couldn't seem to pin point as to what. She cursed her paranoia that wouldn't let the thought drop, their conversation that morning playing on her mind. What was his mission? Who the hell was he working for? She leaned forward in her seat, there was no record of him, of the man behind the mask and this made things virtually impossible. The ball was in his court, the game totally his as she remained helpless at the sidelines trying to make sense of where he fit in the madness that surrounded her. Her eyes closed trying to think rationally. He was a spy undoubtedly, that factor had been established but the who and the why was what was bothering her. She stacked up the files that were on her desk pulling out a binder containing information on her opposition, wondering if his physique matched anything she had come across before. She flicked through the pages containing every notorious gang known in South Korea and nothing. She closed the binder, slamming it back into the drawer it came out off, her hands resting on either side of her forehead as she tried again to steady herself. "Ma'am we have a meeting..." her secretary stated poking her head through the door carefully treading on her managers turf. Irene stood taking the necessary files in her hands and left her office the same moment. Her mind still bothered by who this man was and what he wanted.
She sat in the meeting hours later, her cold features displaying just how fed up she was becoming with the squabbling and shit that was coming out of people's mouths. She rolled her eyes, whilst moving one leg on top of the other, her eyes focusing on the man who essentially ripping their achievements to shit, her frustration was becoming noticed by all, the agitation and tension making the room all the more suffocating. She tapped her fingers on the desk impatiently waiting for this man to finish his speech, her eyes meeting Wendy's who signalled her to remain calm. She suppressed the chuckle that emitted from her throat at how ridiculous that was, she was going to rip into him and make him wish he had never opened his mouth in the first place. She looked down at her watch, her eyes flashing up to meet that of the man who had now said she was an incapable leader. Her body catapulted out of her chair, leaning into his face, watching a sense of fear loom in his eyes at her one action. He turned to avoid her gaze, her fingers holding his face to meet hers. "I'm not capable...I've built this entire empire on my back. This company your sitting in, that pays you your wages to feed your family technically comes out of my pocket. This empire has been established as the best in South Korea, this empire is bigger than you could ever dream and it's because of me and my girls that it's standing the way that it is. If I'm not capable of my job then how do I manage to secure deal after deal? How do I manage to run more than ten businesses if I'm not capable? If you truly want to talk about capability should we look at you? You were fired from your other job because you couldn't even begin to negotiate, you sit in my office, in my complex and play games on your phone whilst the others around you do the work that you take credit for...." she trailed off, her hands resting on the desk as she leaned back slightly. "Your incapable, and for those words today, get your ass out of my office and don't ever show me your face again or there will be a bullet between your eyes. We wouldn't want that for your family now would we?" She watched as he shivered at her words. "Get out!" She shouted watching as she scurried to leave, her eyes still cold and furious as she looked around to the other members of her committee. "If any of the rest of you have any reservations about my capability please get the hell out." She sat back down in her seat watching the rest of the employees that lowered their heads. "No one?...good continue with the meeting." She picked up the file again leaning back in her seat as they resumed. Irene's eyes remaining deadly fixated on her job.
