To make sure this was a real quest Chiron pointed Percy in the direction of the Oracle. I didn't go with him because I still felt that it was too weird between us. We haven't said a word to each other since we left Chiron's office.

Y/n: "Good luck Percy. I'll see you later." I said while taking another path to meet up with Luke.

Percy: "Yeah I'll see you." He replied quietly before making his way into the creepy building of the Oracle.

As I made it to the Hermes cabin I only saw Luke there.

Y/n: "Heyyy um we need to talk." I said before entering and closing the door behind me.

Luke: "Yeah we do."He answered, while turning to face me.

Luke: "Here." He said while patting a spot next to him on the bed.

Y/n: "Look I know you might be scared of me right now and think I'm full of godly parent drama, but the truth is, I just need someone I can talk to right now." I said sitting next to him.

Luke: "Woah wait I'm not scared of you. I was just surprised. I mean you have a lot of stuff going on. I'm just worried about you. How are you holding up with the news?" He asked while looking at me.

Y/n: "I'm not holding up at all. I'm just. I don't know confused. I'm confused about everything that's going on. Starting with having three godly parents claim me. I mean things are weird between me and Percy. We won't talk to each other and to top it all we have a quest that is even more stressful because a lot of people are depending on us." I ramble.

Luke: "It's okay it will get easier. And I will always be here if you need someone to talk to." He said while we both stared at each other for a while.

It felt as though the world stopped around us. Everything started to slow down and move in slow motion. All you could hear was our heartbeats increasing as we both leaned in. Luke started the kiss and pulled me closer to him. I started to kiss back until I realized what I was doing.

Y/n: "Wait. Um. I-I should go." I said and left the cabin.

As I left the cabin I was in deep thought. The kiss was amazing and it sparked something in me, but I can't focus on that right now. I have to help Percy find his mom and help him with the quest. Maybe also to solve the questions floating around in my head about my parents.

Meanwhile Percy Jackson on the other hand.

Percy's POV:

As I split the pathways with Y/n, I walked into a creaky old building. Everything was old and run down. I slowly walk towards the figure sitting in the chair unmoving.

Percy: "Hi. I'm Percy. It's nice to meet you." I said waiting for the figure to say anything.

Percy: "I was told a quest wasn't a quest until you've said so. Which is weird considering you're a Halloween decoration." I said until I heard crack noises.

Percy: "Oh geez." I said as the figure started to move and face me.

Percy: "You seem busy. I'll come back." I said quickly to turn around until green mist came out of their mouth and surrounded them whole.

Oracle: "You shall go west and face the god who has turned. And you shall find what was stolen and see it safely returned." The Oracle stated.

Percy: "Okay." I said and turned to walk away.

Oracle: "Oh and Percy. You will be betrayed by one who calls you a friend and will fail to save what matters most in the end." The Oracle said before disappearing.

⏳ Time Skip ⌛

Y/n's POV:

Chiron gathered up the students that can help the most with this quest. Me, Annabeth, and Luke were all standing next to each other.

Chiron: "The Oracle has confirmed what we expected. That this quest will proceed toward the underworld, where you will confront the god who has rebelled against his brothers. Hades." Chiron said, turning to look down at Percy, by his side.

Chiron: "The entrance to Hades domain lies under the city of Los Angeles. This is where you will journey to. Time is short." Chiron said.

Chiron: "I have selected our most compelling candidates, from which you will choose three to join you in this quest and ensure that you will succeed." Chiron said, looking at us.

Percy: "Y/n and Annabeth." Percy said quickly.

Chiron: "Customarily, one waits to at least hear a name or two before choosing. Are you sure you don't want to hear more?" Chiron questioned.

Percy: "This thing, Zeus's master bolt. We need to get it back right?" Percy questioned.

Chiron: "Yes." He replied.

Percy: "And it's gonna be hard to get, yes?" Percy questioned again, making Chiron think it himself.

Chiron: "Extraordinarily." Chion replied again.

Percy: "And if the mission required someone to push me down a flight of stairs to succeed. You'd want someone who won't hesitate when they do it." Percy said as he looked towards Annabeth.

Chiron: "The first quest-mate shall be Annabeth Chase and the second quest-mate shall be Y/n L/n (Last name)." He said looking out towards the children.

After the selection ceremony was over I went back to the Poseidon cabin, while Percy went to invite Grover along with us for the quest. They had some stuff to talk through but deep down I know they have a good bond of friendship. As I was packing some clothing and essential needs I heard a knock on the door.

Y/n: "Come in!" I yelled.

Then I saw Luke walk in holding a bag full of stuff.

Luke: "Hey." He greeted.

Y/n: "Hey." I replied back, still nervous about our encounter earlier today.

Luke: "Um. I just wanted to give you these items in your quest. You know in case you're in danger." He explained as he took out this beautiful necklace and nice dagger, handing it out to me.

Y/n: "Wow this is really pretty." I said as I took a closer look at it.

Luke: "Here let me help you put it on." He offered turning me around and moving my hair out of my face.

Luke: "This necklace will protect you at all times and if you hold it and say my name, you can get a hold of me and I will answer." He said turning me back around.

Y/n: "Thank you so much. You're too sweet." I said.

Luke: "And this dagger is very special; it came down the family line. I want you to have it in case of emergencies." He said handing it to me.

Y/n: "I don't think I should take this. I mean what if I lose it." I asked worried.

Luke: "It's okay. You can never lose this dagger. It will always come back to you in time of need." He said assuring me.

Y/n: "Thanks so much again." I said.

Luke: "Anything for a pretty girl." He said flirting.

He gave me a tight hug and a small kiss on my cheek before leaving the cabin.
