Chapter 12

(A/N: So, I apologised if the last chapter was poorly edited, I literally got a burst of inspiration and I couldn't wait to type it in lololol)

When both of them locked eyes, Hoseok frozed in his spot, Jungkook remained normal though. But still he furrowed his eyebrows a bit at Hoseok because he looks like he had seen a ghost.

Somehow, Jungkook remembered how someone named Rae Seok acted the same, when he got to his hometown.

He thought 'Why does everyone I meet acted the same, did I do something horrible to them?'

Jungkook saw the atmosphere became intense, so he coughed loudly to cut the stares and glances Hoseok and Jimin gave him.

"Ah right sorry, Jungkook what are you doing in this place in such an hour?" Jimin asked politely. Breaking off the intense silence between all of them.

Breaking off the thoughts that ran in his head, Jungkook looked up to Jimin, who was waiting for his answer and smiled sincerely.

"Well, actually we saw you here in this small cafe by coincidence and thought why not drive you home since this street is known for its..dangers.." Jungkook articulated, almost mentioning what he saw when Jimin was almost tackled by his so-called-friend, 'whatever his name was' Jungkook thought.

"We?" Jimin blurted out. Regretting it seconds after it came out of his mouth, he didn't want to sound like a jealous and an over possessive boyfriend but that's exactly what he was trying to show.

Jungkook saw Jimin's shocked expressions, almost looking like he was betrayed, causing his cheeks to form a deep red look.

The thought of his hyung, whom he was starting to admire and find a source of freedom from his daily job get jealous by a simple word, made Jungkook question his feelings for him, were they true? were they normal? Did Jimin feel the same whenever he is around him?

"Y-Yeah, I brought Eun Ha with me since my father insists that I should start doing these things, given that our wedding is coming soon" Jungkook murmured, almost as if he winced mentioning the upcoming event.

At the mention of Eunha and Marriage, Jimin's smile died down immediately. If he accepted this offer, he will face that ego-driven b*tch again and suffer from embarassment. But if he denied it, he will face the consequences of what this dangerous night has to offer.

On cue, Jungkook looked at him like he was waiting for his response. He huffed immediately, surely his actions may be mistaken as a child forced to go with a blood-related member he's not close with.

"Oh..I see" Jimin trailed off as he looked down in the floor in disappointment.

He was reminded that Jungkook isn't his to begin with. That Jungkook, whom before was always there for him when he needed him most, will soon be out of his reach.

'Again.' He thought. If the seperation for both of them was not enough, he had to marry a so-called fiancee of his that Jimin thought Jungkook was only forced to.

When he was getting lost on his thoughts, Jimin quickly shook his head and clenched his fists.

"I'll just help Hoseok-hyung get a cab before I join you guys" Jimin said and looked up with emotionless eyes. He was faking his smile too, looking like he was grateful that they offered him a ride.

Jungkook just smiled eagerly while both of them (Jimin and Hoseok) made their way to the side of the red car that probably costs more than their kidneys to get a cab for one of them.

While Jungkook opened the car he was quite taken aback when he saw Eun Ha sleeping peacefully, he rarely saw her in a calming state like this. Usually she would always rant about everything while he only just nodded, not paying attention to every word, while bringing him cookies to work.

She breathed heavily, like a mother finally getting her good night's sleep while her lashes fall perfectly down her cheeks. Despite the peacefulness she still has that pout. Yes, she smiled a lot but they were only fake ones, to hide that attitude and resting b*tch face she wears everywhere.

Jungkook decided that it would be best to just not wake her up when she looks THIS calm to not even punch a child. Still, he carefully placed the seat belt near her waist so she wouldn't fall.

No, Jungkook's not like that. Even if he hated this woman for forcing himself to love her, he still had some manners and morals to everyone.

Good thing that accident didn't turn him into an asshole.

Jimin's PoV

After waving off and sending goodbyes to Hoseok, Jimin quickly frowned when the cab was merely just a blur while he turned to Jungkook's car. The lights blinded him as he saw the scene unfold infront of him; Jungkook tucking Eun Ha in and closing the car slowly for her to not wake up.

He was not surprised though, Jungkook is getting married and having a 'wife' and family soon so he should act like it.

Yes, he should act like an adult now, not the Dongsaeng that will chase him to his workplace and joke around with.

Jimin smiled to himself.

'Is this what love does to someone you hold dear to? How love can take away someone completely without them noticing?'

Jimin shook off the thought. How can love make him so selfish for wanting Jungkook all to himself?

Love Love Love, oh that word. It always comes to Jimin's mind, entering without knocking properly. How it always confuses him, leads him to people, bad or not. Love always has its negative and positive in Jimin's life. But he avoided it while he still can.

"Jimin-hyung? Are you okay?" Jungkook asked suddenly causing Jimin to let out a low shriek, it was cute though, in Jungkook's perception. Like he was caught doing something he shouldn't.

"Oh, Sorry, I-I was just waiting.." Jimin stuttered. Of all the lies Jimin told, this was the one who was blatantly obvious.

Jungkook just nodded and hummed, unable to reply at the moment. He opened the car for Jimin to enter and quietly closed the door also. Afraid that the peaceful woman will wake up from her slumber, An action Jimin noticed.

The car ride was silent, too silent for Jungkook and Jimin as they both focused on what they were doing; Jungkook driving safely even though the road was free for him to do whatever he wanted while Jimin looked at the Mapo Bridge, lost in thought but also admiring the sea below and how the night sky looked from here.

Eun Ha however, shifted and turned in her sleep. Unable to process what sleeping position is comfortable to her and also unaware of her surroundings. She was muttering from time to time: a good dream, Jungkook supposes as he heard Eun Ha snicker. An action she rarely does.

Eun Ha's Dream

"Jungkook say ah~" Eun Ha begged cutely as she lifted and waved the spoon like it was an airplane and feed it to Jungkook's mouth which Jungkook loved.

They were both in a land where the glass was clear, they were having a picnic and no person other than both of them was there whatsoever but Eun Ha didn't cared, as long as she get to spend this time with Jungkook.

Oh how she loved that boy, even if it was forced. She's willing to do all she can to make her the best wife he could ever have and in this universe, Jungkook is surprisingly enjoying his time with her.

They both laughed at each other's jokes. Looked at each other all the time with love in their eyes. It was practically her dream since she first saw Jungkook.

'Wait'. She thought, as she looked around her surroundings, clear landscape, bubbles freely gliding around the air with no one blowing them unfortunately. It was as if this was all too unreal for her, this place seems like it comes from a drea-

"Eun Ha~" Jungkook cut him off, moaning cutely as he made her look up at his cute aegyo. Eun Ha broke off the thought as she playfully hits Jungkook for being too cute and cringey at the same time.

'Jungkook's here, so it's fine' Eun Ha mentally reassured herself as she observed Jungkook's features. Yes, she admits that whenever Jungkook is there beside him, she always felt safe, as if he will protect her from everything that dangers her.

End of Eun Ha's dream

As Eun Ha kept making weird noises, Jimin got too annoyed and decided to just plug his earphones in. Going to his songs that always keeps him in the mood for gazing out of the car window.

He scrolled to the tracks, scanning them one by one and internally hearing them in his mind. After what seemed like forever, he chose "I'm In Love" by Ra D.

(This is actually a pretty good song despite the cheesy title ('ω`*))

Jimin closed his eyes while leaning his head into the seat and getting comfortable while the piano played smoothly through his ears.

"Actually after our first meeting

Saying I like you

Isn't something easy for me"

Jimin softly smiled when he remembered meeting Taehyung for the first time, in his birthday, he was the only one that sang for him and even greeted him despite Jimin being a complete stranger who Taehyung only thought of as the boy who offered him a seat.

"If I don't contact you first

I'm afraid of missing you

I type out the text, hesitate a bit, then delete it again

I keep repeating this process over and over "

The music made him forget where he was completely, as if Jungkook and the sleeping Eun Ha wasn't even there completely, making him relive good memories with Taehyung, surprisingly. The boy always crosses his mind from time to time.

'Maybe I should text him, to see how he's doing' Jimin thought as he opened his eyes to see they had stopped in the middle of the street. He sat up and saw a bunch of cars rowed up infront of them, to his left too. They were still in the bridge though. Jimin sighed as he didn't knew the ride home was longer than expected and worried that Jungkook might be so tired after this.

As if on cue, Jungkook saw Jimin in the rear view mirror. Messy Hair, and parted lips. Jungkook looked away as if the sight was too blinding for him.

He tried to control himself, remind him that he's going to be married soon and this woman beside him was the reason for it. And Jimin in that state isn't going to let himself lose control as he gripped at the steering wheel.

"Don't worry hyung, it's just a checkpoint because of the latest broadcast" Jungkook reassured him, as if he's reading his mind. Jimin sighed in relief as he fell to his seat again, listening to that song again.

While the traffic seems to be moving slowly but stopped in the middle, Jungkook took the time to admire Jimin in the rear-view mirror. He couldn't stop himself. Jimin was just too tempting not to look at.

He stared at his lips the way they seem to be singing slowly. As Jimin continued the song, getting louder and louder each second, Jungkook identified the song quickly.

The song held no meaning to it but it was as if he memorized every word, every tone.

"If my love for you gets any deeper"

Jimin bolted awake, hearing another voice other than himself.

"It will only result in getting hurting"

'It's Jungkook' Jimin thought. But he acted like he was unbothered, of course it will only result in awkwardness because of Eun Ha's presence

"My fears are filling my mind"

"This is the truth"

Jungkook's voice hasn't changed at all, yes it got a little deeper but it still held that breathy touch through it.

But in Jungkook's Point of View he wasn't focusing on how his voice sounded like. It was as if he was telling Jimin, who appears to not hear his serenades that he was afraid to believe him, afraid that he really had a friendship with Jimin and it resulted in his hyung getting hurt because of it.

But he didn't know the reason why.

While Jungkook suddenly stopped singing, Jimin's phone buzzed resulting to him stopping his moment with Jungkook. He quickly opened his phone to check who it is if it's important:

It's Namjoon

He huffed in irritation. Of course, why would he expect someone other than Namjoon in this late hour? It's not like he was looking for someone to text him goodnight, or ask how he was doing. That would be asking for too much.

But is asking for love when it has been too long for Jimin to receive is too much?

He sighed and just opened what Namjoon had to tell him via text.

Namjoon: Hello chimchim

Jimin froze when he looked at the message, is that Namjoon? Taehyung's friend which always looks like he is contemplating life? No, maybe someone snatched his phone and pretended it was him..but how do they know that his nickname was always Chimchim? Which Taehyung himself only knows and not Namjoon.

Namjoon: Oml i'm so sorry Jimin for the misunderstanding, Taehyung lost his phone and stole mine just to message you btw I hope you didn't get creeped out at me or anything

Jimin snorted, in which he saw Jungkook interrupted from his thoughts and Eun Ha shifting in her seat. If only he could bury a hole right now and dig in it, he can. But no, this is reality in which he has to face this embarassment.

"Sorry" Jimin mumbled and got back through texting Namjoon.

Jimin: No problem Namjoon-hyung I understand ^_^ I hope you say hi to Taehyung for me too, Goodnight for both of you ♡

He sent it with cute emoticons and smiled while hitting send, hoping Taehyung reads it too.

Meanwhile, Eun Ha fluttered her eyes open, still in a dream-like state while staring at the street lights passing and hovering through her.

She still thought she was in her dream, with Jungkook as she looked at all her surroundings and luckily Jungkook was there too.

Part of her wonders if this is the real jungkook, who ignores everything she ever does for him and only takes care of her from time to time without any love put through it and another part of ther wonders that this could be the Jungkook he was dreaming about, the sweet boy who looks at her as if she was made of everything he ever wanted, the boy who actually enjoys her presence.

But as she looks long enough, she finally realizes that she was in reality again. That the image of him and Jungkook spending their time together in what seemed to look like paradise was just a silly old dream that a teenage girl has with their crush.

She frowned as she shifted in her position but was surprised when she felt a seatbelt blocking her body and a tiny pillow which she hugged earlier.

As much as she wanted to say that the Real Jungkook didn't love her, she always looks past to how he treats her, of course, Jungkook has always been a sweet boy but he only shows it through actions, not with words. But it's clear to her that he didn't see her as a wife, neither a girlfriend of some sort, he only sees her as his father's orders.

Am I asking for too much?

Of course, it's only arranged that's why I'm not allowed to make him love me the way I want to

Eun Ha thought of these things as she looked at the passing scenes in the window.

As the world revolves around all of them; Jungkook, Jimin and Eun Ha. All of them only thought of one thing, love.

No, not that love. That love that involves marriage and a happy life with your significant one, that's an everlasting kind of love.

If a person thinks that love only involves that, no, there are different types of love, in very form, in every action and in every word.

All of them had a different aspect of love.

Jungkook, who wants to love someone who loved him back, but fears that he will just hurt them in the end, or by them it could mean, Jimin. That's what love is to Jungkook.

That feeling can be recognized in all of us, fear to fall because you doubt that someone will not catch you.

But in Eun Ha and Jimin's aspect, both were polar opposites.

Jimin receives love, from someone who accepted him from who he is and didn't leave him, He loves him too but, not sure wheter to love them fully because Jimin thinks he's not enough.

Eun Ha in another hand, gives everything she has for someone, but doesn't receive it in return. As expected from someone who came from a family full of prostitutes and money-diggers. But it wasn't her fault that she was born this way nor it was her fault that she and Jungkook's path met.

All of them had one thing in common other than being in love; wanting something that was so close yet something is holding them back.
