Will update weekly.
I'm OK by Christina Augliera—This song really hits hard with Autumn, because she listens to her father beat her mother for years, seeing nothing but shadows move from the crack in the door. It shows that she is haunted by this, and it is connected with her reason to lock up her heart—because she's afraid.
When She Cries by Britt Nicole—Another song for Autumn. She has deep, painful thoughts of what life could have been, and wonders why no one ever notices why she doesn't smile, or when she cries does anyone hear her—her mother especially—besides herself.
Waiting for Superman by Daughtry—A song for Spencer when he thinks of Autumn. "Save her now, before it's too late tonight. Oh, at the speed of light." This verse shows what Spencer does in the beginning of Chapter 3, because he has his reasons for being protective. And I have played this song so much I remember it and instantly think of Spencer and Autumn.
He's Hurting me by Maria Mena—This song is for Autumn and her mother as they deal with their abusive significant others, because as much as they want to leave, they don't want to, and want someone to get them off their throne.
Salt in the Wound by Theory of a Deadman—Autumn once again for how she feels when Carlson returns with more abuse, and the memories she recalls of their past relationship.
Savin' Me by Nickelback—This song eventually revolves around suicide, and Autumn and Spencer.
Out of the Blue by Aly and Aj—this song speaks for itself for the two.
I'm Yours by Jason Mraz—This is how Spencer feels about Autumn as they spend more time with each other, during winter is the fun time. She helps him battle his demons, and when he shows her things that make her laugh, he realizes, he's hers, no matter what. Even when they kiss.
Those Nights by Skillet—When Spencer and Autumn go to his place and watch TV, talk, listen to the radio and drink frozen hot chocolate despite the fact it's hot as hell outside at night, each gesture of friendship and laughter helps them stay alive. Autumn didn't want to go home to hear another fight from her parents, and Spencer didn't want to be pressured by memories of his past. They talk about this later on.
Brave by Sara Barrielles—While Autumn tells Spencer to tell his parents about what was wrong with him, he constantly tells her to speak up about her father and Carlson.
Counting Stars by OneRepublic—One for Spencer and Autumn when their friend Wyatt pushes them together, giving the two hopeless romantics advice and ways to bring them close.
It's Not Over by Daughtry—When Autumn and Spencer have a deep conversation after tragic things befall them, it spells out that it's not over for them, and they need each other to survive through the pain of everyday life, and want to start their lives over—introducing each other more better, and finally getting the courage to stop their demons.
Battleships by Daughtry—Spencer and Autumn once again. I became obsessed with this song and thought "OMG THIS IS PERFECT" Because it explains they don't want to fight, and even though they do, they love hard and dangerous.
Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down—Another song for Spencer. He wants to know if he goes nuts, will Autumn still call him her hero? If you listen to the song, it's very present. And she's his kryptonite, making him weak at times and must act out.
You're the Only One by Maria Mena—this is a Autumn and Spencer one once again, when they develop a strong friendship. To me, this is like Autumn stating why she likes Spencer, because he gets her like no one else did. In my book, that's adorable.
Pieces by Red—Autumn when she tells Spencer and Wyatt about the abuse by her boyfriend.
Open Wounds by Skillet—How Autumn feels when she's with her father and ex-boyfriend.
Coming Down by Five Finger Death Punch—Autumn and Spencer story, both relying on different things to get by, when they know it is wrong.
Raining by Art of Dying ft. Adam Gontier—I chose this song because it represents the thoughts of Autumn when she is cornered by situations that involve discussing her situation to other people, or just talking in general.
Superchick-Beauty from Pain.
