"Are you certain?" I ask
"Quiet certain,it's what I've been doing these last few weeks" Kalie tells me
"Tells us more" Daemon asks,so Kalie began to tell us about her investigation. How she had gone to the stables to examine Daemon's saddle,there she found that it had been tampered with. One side had been cut with a sharp blade,with this information Kalie had tried to find the stable boy in charge of Daemon's horse that day.

Only know one knew who the boy was,the normal stable boy of William was at home sick and was replaced by a different lad. So Kalie had to ask around to see if anyone knew the boy's name
"I found out that he called himself John and that he left the moment the accident happened" Kalie said
"So where is this John now?" I ask her
"That's the thing my lady,I couldn't find him and being of no importance know one would tell me anything" Kalie explained.

Daemon stands up and says
"Who else have you told this to?"
"Know one Prince Daemon, I came straight here" Kalie said
"Then we tell my brother" Daemon said heading for the library door
"Are you sure I should talk to a king,I'm just a commoner?" Kalie asked worried
"I know you'd rather not,but you did the investigation and I'm sure Viserys would love to here the correct information from you" I told her.

We followed after Daemon who hadn't actually gone to far
"Where would the king be at this time of day?" I ask him
"My brother could be anywhere,what about Henry?" Daemon said
"Let's asks Thomas" I suggest, I lead the other two down the corridor towards Thomas's office I just hope he is there. To my luck when the three of us arrive Thomas is there and he is not busy.

"Thomas are you alone?" I ask the moment I walk into his office
"That depends,are you here to explain Miss Kalie's absence these past few weeks?"Thomas asks
" How do you know that?"Daemon asks
"I have spies in the kingdom, and they have informed me of a woman matching Kalie's description asking questions" Thomas says looking at Kalie
"Its true Mr Cromwell,I have been asking questions" Kalie said.

"About what?" Thomas asked
"About my accident from a few weeks ago" Daemon said
"It looks like sabotage" I say to Thomas
"Sabotage, as in someone wanted to hurt the prince?" Thomas asked
"It would seem that way" Kalie said
"We came to see if you know where Henry is?" I ask him
"I do,follow me" With that Thomas lead the three of us out of his office and down several corridors to where the king is.

Whilst Kalie stood and talked with the two kings,I couldn't help but glance at Daemon every so often. Who would deliberately want to harm him? Sure he can be a pain even his brother will admit to that,as will Daemon himself. But almost try and have him killed is a different matter entirely.
"Why so worried my dear Y/n,we both know who did this" Daemon says quietly, breaking my train of thoughts
"It wasn't Hastings" I say.

"How can you be certain?" Daemon asks looking at me
"Thomas Hastings is too much of a coward to do that,he would rather prove himself in front of people" I tell him
"Hmm that is a puzzle then" Daemon says thoughtful "Then again a lot of people don't like me"
"But to almost kill you,that's a bit much" I say worriedly
"Fear not my good Lady, I can take care of myself" Daemon reassured me.

"I know you can but..." I trail off,I look away from Daemon. Only for him to reach his hand out and turn my face back to him
"We will find out who did this and they will not harm me again" Daemon said
"How can you be so calm about this?" I ask him,putting my own hand on top of his
"This isn't the first time someone has tried to kill me and it won't be the last" Daemon says"You really do care for me don't you?"
"Despite my best efforts, you have become someone very special to me Daemon Targaryen" I say.

Daemon runs his thumb across my lips
"I'd kiss you right now if we weren't being watched" Daemon says,it is then I realized we aren't alone together and I take a small step back from the prince. I look at the floor knowing that the two kings,Thomas and Kalie had all seen our little interaction. Daemon smirked to himself knowing he is the cause of my suddenly shy nature.
