Suna

"Why did we have to be assigned the hottest country on this Kami forsaken planet?!" Kay complained as she fanned herself with her hand. "It's not that bad," Shinju replied, "at least you'll get a tan." "I don't tan, I burn. And I'd rather not go back to Kisa looking like a boiled lobster. He might eat me and not in the way that I want." They continued their back and forth bickering as they reached the outskirts of Sunagakure.

"You will go no further" Gaara's raspy voice said as he floated above them on his sand. "Gaara! Nice to see you! No hard feelings about last time?" Kay asked. "You killed my brother and sister after you seduced them!" He growled at her. "Hmmm yeah, blonde, four pig tails? She was fun! Puppet boy, on the other hand...meh". "I'll kill you where you fucking stand!" the Kazekage growled as he raised his hands, mountains of sand bending to his will. "How do you manage to piss off so many people?" Shinju asked, dropping into her fighting stance. "What can I say? I never got attention from my parents" Kay laughed as she crossed her arms. "Let's see what you've got, Gaara."

The red headed youth threw his sand at the women, moving his hands to direct his sand. Shinju used her water jutsu to weigh down his sand, making it difficult for him to manipulate it. "I can't keep this up!" she said as she dodged a spike of sand. "Gimme a sec. Distract him!" Kay said as she threw senbons at Gaara who blocked them with his sand shield.

Shinju leapt into the air and Gaara caught her. "Sand...coffin" he said but before he could close his fist, Kay bit her thumb, smeared the blood on the dragon marking on her left forearm and slammed her bloody hand on the ground. "SUMMONING JUTSU!" She yelled as she rose into the air on a cloud of smoke. A large, red, clawed hand reached out and snatched Shinju from the sand's confines and brought her to stand on his head.

Gaara looked at the newly summoned dragon. He was massive with thick red and gold plated scales, smoke curling from his nostrils, a strong sinewy body curling on itself and large golden claws grasped at the loose sand. "Sunagakure?" The dragon asked. "Charro! You beautiful bastard!" Kay said, hugging the dragon's snout. The dragon purred happily, "we need to kill the Kazekage. Ready?" Charro nodded and drew back.

Shinju kneeled on the massive head and watched as Kay stood there with her arms crossed, her fire chakra visible and flickering on her body as Suna's winds whipped through the battlefield. "Jube, take some of Charro's chakra" she instructed and Shinju could feel the warm chakra in her body. "He's going to use his sand shield each time we attack. If we can harden it and then break it, we might have a chance" Shinju advised. "Noted" Kay said.

Gaara snarled and raised his hands. Sand wrapped around the dragon and tightened, fighting to hold the massive creature in place. "Hold" Kay said to both of them. Gaara smiled savagely as he said "GRAND SAND MAUSOLEUM!" "Ready your water, Ju. Charro, hold." Layers and layers of sand began building up around them. Gaara laughed maniacally as he sensed his victory was near, his vengeance for his fallen siblings and the fallen Suna citizens and shinobi that Zetsu was fighting.

As the sand crept up Charro's neck Kay knelt down, wove some hand signs and shouted "NOW!" Shinju released her water jutsu and Charro released his flame, creating a steaming and boiling jet of water. As expected, Gaara stopped to draw his sand around him. Kay focused her chakra and increased the heat of Charro's flame. "Anyone feel like baked Kaze?" Kay asked as Gaara's shell was burning a bright red from the heat.

Pieces of red hot sand fell from Gaara's shield and they could see he was gasping for air as the fire had sucked all the oxygen out. "Charro, be a dear and catch him for me". Golden claws wrapped around Gaara and brought him face to face with the dragon. He squirmed and fought to escape but it was futile. Kay and Shinju walked the length of Charro's arm and stood on his fist. "What should we do with him?" Shinju asked. "Kill him, what else?" "But...he's Gaara..." "Jube, we have orders and he's not one to fall in line. Especially since his precious Naruto is dead" Upon hearing this, what little fight he had went out of him. Gaara slumped in Charro's fist, "please show mercy to my people" he said quietly. Shinju nodded and placed her hand on his arm. "You fought well" she said.

Kay rolled her eyes, "are you done consoling your crush? Can we move on now?" She asked Shinju who glared at her. "There is nothing wrong with showing mercy and respect". "Yeah, yeah," Kay said, shooing Shinju back to Charro's head, "eat my lovely" she cooed to her dragon. He nodded, opened his mouth and released a few flames, cooking Gaara alive before eating him.

"Should we check on the city?" Shinju asked. "That's probably a good idea. Who knows what he's been up to" Kay said as Charro made his way to the city. Smoke and flames filled the sky, darkening the sun. Screams, yells and loud crying could be heard as they approached. Shinju spotted one of Zetsu's clones and beckoned him to her. After climbing up to where they were he gave his report "most of the shinobi forces are dead, their ANBU has been annihilated and the citizens are thoroughly terrorized. They're ready for your rule" Zetsu said, bowing to the women. "I'm not ruling this oversized sandbox! We're holding it for Sasori." Kay said as she slid down Charro's back, Shinju following and Charro sending Zetsu's clone flying from his head with a flick of his claws.

"Ok my love, time for you to go back" Kay said to Charro, nuzzling his snout as the dragon purred and pressed his head against her body. She made hand signs, pressed her palm to his body and he disappeared in a cloud of smoke. "Until next time, bud" she said quietly. Turning, she looked at Shinju, "should we conquer a city?" Shinju grinned and nodded and both of them took off to the Kage's tower.

Standing atop the tower Shinju took a deep breath before speaking. The terrified citizens and remaining shinobi turned to listen to her. "Citizens of Suna! Your Kage has been defeated and killed! Your city lies in ruins! Submit and swear allegiance to Akasuna no Sasori and welcome an era of peace!" The people below her kneeled down and bowed their heads, their submission complete.

"I guess we're stuck here until Sasori shows up. Might as well get comfortable" Kay said as she went into the Kage building and Shinju followed. Hopefully the mission in the Hidden Cloud wasn't too difficult; she couldn't wait to feel Kakuzu's arms around her again.
