Pein stood at the head of the large table. The Akatsuki members and Kay and Shinju were seated around the table, waiting for the meeting to start.

"Itachi," Pein spoke catching the Uchiha's attention, "your eyes are healed?" "Yes, Leader-sama" Itachi said quietly. Kisame gave his partner a searching look but Itachi turned his head away from him.

"Excellent. The jinchurikis have been located and Zetsu has confirmed that the Nine Tails has returned to the Village. Your targets are in the envelope in front of you. Kakuzu has kindly provided generous allowances to ensure you are all well fed and rested during your mission. I don't need to state just how important it is that we catch and seal the Tailed Beasts. Don't disappoint me. Dismissed!" Pein finished, waving his hand at the others as he left the room.

Each partnership looked at each other and their envelope. Itachi got up and grabbed the envelope and began leaving the room. Kisame stood up and placed a kiss on Kay's head as he left to follow Itachi.

One by one, everyone left the room to prepare for their mission and reveal their target. Kakuzu was giving Shinju a passionate kiss before he parted and left with Hidan following him. Shinju sighed as she watched her man leave before turning to Kay who was examining the paper.

"Well?" Shinju asked. "Seven Tails...water and acid...shit" Kay said as she passed the dossier to Shinju. "Yeah but we have wind and fire still. Pein wouldn't have given this to us if we couldn't handle it" she said. "No point in worrying about it. Let's get our gear together and head out. It's a trek to the former Village of Eddies".

Shinju looked over the devastation that was once the Village Hidden in the Eddies, the ancestral home of the Uzumaki clan. Her brown eyes took in the destroyed buildings that had plant life struggling to grow in the cracks and valleys, the former koi ponds scattered among what used to be gardens and a torn scrap of fabric with the recognizable whirlpool symbol that was flapping in the breeze.

Kay stood on another pile of rubble and scanned the ruins around her. "See anything?" She asked. "No but I sense we're not alone" she replied. "She's right!" A bright voice chirped. Kay and Shinju looked to the direction the voice came from and saw a small mint haired woman with large orange eyes standing on a red pillar in the middle of a large pond.

"Fū?" Kay asked. "Yup!" she nodded, her mint hair swinging in her face. Kay relaxed her stance a little, saying "well, that was easy". "Don't drop your guard. Her chakra is overflowing-" Shinju was cut off as Fū wove hand signs and a web shot out of her hands. Slicing the tendrils with her kunai Shinju leapt out of the way. She looked up to see Kay still facing Fū, her crossed arms covered in the web.

"Kay!" Shinju shouted. "I'm ok! Focus on yourself!" she called back. "Kid, just come with us. It'll go much faster and much more smoothly if you just complied". Fū grinned and pulled on the web a little, causing Kay's feet to rock dangerously on the edge of the rubble. "One pull and no one will find your body" she said happily, "and the Akatsuki ends!" "Hmmm they're not that easy to kill. Trust me, I've tried" Kay replied as she watched Shinju move into position from the corner of her eye.

Kay crouched down, seemingly surrendering to the jinchuriki. Fū smirked and wove hand signs "NINJA ART: ACID FLOW!" she yelled. "FIRE MASTERY: INCINERATE!" Kay yelled as she sent flaming chakra across the web strings and Fū had to detach the strings to prevent herself from being burned. "WIND STYLE: CUTTING BREEZE!" Shinju yelled as her wind blew the acid away from Kay and towards Fū. The wind cut her and shredded her clothing and she had to jump away to dodge the acid.

She landed on her feet, crouched and panting. Kay and Shinju remained above her on the rubble. "You two are stronger than I gave you credit for" she said while weaving signs, "but I'll always be stronger! Chōmei!" Yellow chakra enveloped Fū as she released her hold on the Tailed Beast. "Kami...fuck!" Kay said as she watched the chakra grow and pulsate with energy. Fū transformed from herself into Chōmei, the Seven Tails, the insect with hard armour and acid abilities that had defeated shinobi who tried to capture him easily.

"Remember that bug kid we met in Konoha? He said hard shelled insects like this are weak against lightening as it can break their shells" Shinju remarked. "Do you know any lightening jutsus?" "No but-" "Doesn't matter. We use what we have".

Chōmei opened his mouth and a flood of acid spewed out, spraying up at the women who leapt away as the acid ate the rubble they were standing on. As they were in midair a wall of water slammed them to the ground. Groaning they got to their feet and adopted their fighting stances.

"We need to contain him. My Sealing Jutsu won't work but what if we combined it with your Incinerate?" Shinju asked as she threw shurikens and kunai at the bug. "It could work but we only have one shot at it. Incinerate takes a lot of chakra" Kay replied while throwing paper bomb wrapped senbons at Chōmei and watching them explode uselessly against his armour. "We're decided?"  "Yeah, looks like. Let's go!"

Shinju leapt across the ground, up the rubble and using wind chakra in her feet, leaped onto Chōmei's back. Following her footsteps, Kay landed next to Shinju. "SEALING JUTSU: BINDING CHAINS!" Shinju yelled as her chakra chains wrapped around the Beast and she focused on draining the massive amounts of chakra from him. Placing her hands on the chains, "FIRE MASTERY: INCINERATE!" Kay shouted as burning and flaming chakra flowed along the chains.

Chōmei screeched as the fire began to melt through his shell and the chains began draining his chakra. He flailed and flared around, trying to dislodge the kunoichi who were struggling to stay on. "Just a little longer" Shinju panted as she looked at Kay's pale face, the amount of chakra they had to expend on their jutsus pushing them to the limit.

With a final screech Chōmei disappeared back into Fū who lay on the ground unconscious. Shinju wrapped chakra chains around her wrists and ankles to keep her compliant and she sat tiredly next to Kay. "Glad that's over!" She said while laughing quietly. Kay chuckled and soon both of them were laughing, the tension and focus of battle disappearing as they realized they had accomplished their mission: to capture and deliver the jinchuriki for sealing into the Gedo statue.

"Give me some time and I'll send her to Pein. It'll save us from having to drag her body with us" Kay said. "Wait. You can do that? Just teleport objects or people?" Shinju asked. "Yeah. It's how I cashed in the bodies when I was working alone". "Then why the fuck do you not use it when we're on missions with Kazu and Hidan?!"  "Because I like watching them pout and complain" "Not cool, Kay" Shinju lectured.

Jōhō appeared on Pein's desk with a carrier scroll clutched in his claws. His sudden appearance startled Pein who pushed Konan's head out of his crotch. She fell to the floor on her ass with a thump as Pein righted his clothing and reached for the scroll, taking it from the dragon who poofed away.

His fingers excitedly unrolled the scroll and he fed some of his chakra into the symbol in the middle and Fū appeared on his desk. "Excellent" he said as his purple orbs glowed with excitement.
