Chapter 9
Two days later...

I've had time to reflect on all that we've been through and what we have learned about Catiller. Cleo and Jewel are a little bruised, but ok. I have had a few ideas on how to stop Catiller, but it will take all of us. As Catiller gets stronger, we must also. That reminds me: we haven't seen Catiller since the fight two days ago.

What is that thing doing? Did it get what it wanted by hurting me? I don't think its claws are poisonous because I would have been sick by now. We still don't know about its sharp teeth, though. Are they poisonous?

Anyway, just last night, the third day of our second month, I saw Catiller watching me through a makeshift window. I wasn't afraid. I got up and walked right to it. We stared into each other's eyes for about one minute, then Catiller walked away.
