Soon months passed and Ludwig and I started dating. My parents enjoyed having him around. Dad liked how honest and straight forward Ludwig was. Mom liked how he was strong, yet caring at the same time. The both of them would even insist on me marrying Ludwig- well Mom would while Dad grumbled about it. I would always blush at the thought of marriage. I mean, thats's a big step in a relationship.

Eventually I moved out and I started living with him in Germany. It was nice there. The people were somewhat...rough, at first, but I soon adjusted to the lifestyle. It was quite nice. I even got a job at a cafe there. Ludwig started to teach me basic german so I could understand what people were saying. It helped a lot when I was in the market buying food.

The first day I arrived at the house, I found that it was a mansion! Ludwig insisted that it wasn't that big, but I still thought it was huge. When I opened the door, I was tackled to the ground by three dogs who kept licking me. Ludwig had to pry them off of me.

One day, after living in Germany for months, Ludwig took me to this beautiful garden. He said it was called the Berlin-Dahlem Botanical Garden. I loved everything there. All the flowers were just in bloom and Gilbert was following along with a camera. Gilbert was an...interesting guy to say the least. He was Ludwig's older brother and had silver hair, red eyes, and a love for beer. He was also loud and said, "I'm awesome!" a lot, which was the complete opposite of Ludwig.

"Gilbert you don't seem like the kind of person who likes flowers." I told him as we looked at the flowers.

"Vell, maybe it's a secret interest of mein." He replied followed by a chuckle.

I just rolled my eyes and walked up to Ludwig. I was really enjoying myself but he didn't look too good. "You alright Luddy? You don't look too hot." He tried to shrug it off, but I knew better. "How about I go get you some water?"

He nodded and I walked off.

3rd Person's POV

"I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it." Germany said, placing a hand on his forehead.

"You'll be fine Vest," Prussia assured his younger brother.

"This is a huge thing though. I-I'm nervous."

"Come on Vest, suck it up." Prussia gave Germany a good slap to the forehead.

"Vhat vas that for?!"

"Motivation Vest. Now are you going to propose to Catherine or not?"

Germany gulped. He was still so unsure about all of this. I mean, he was asking Catherine to be his wife, his other half, his spouse. No country had ever married a human before, or at least, as far as he knew. What would that mean? Would Catherine grow older and one day die? Where would that leave him? Could he possibly handle that?

There was no time to really think because Catherine was coming back with water.

Catherine's POV

"Here you go Ludwig." I said handing him the water.

After he gulped it down, we continued on our way through the garden. This time though, it was just Ludwig and I. Gilbert said he had somewhere to be and then, I quote, "You two love birds enjoy yourselves~."

Ludwig glared at Gilbert while I giggled at him. I guess we were love birds. Anyway, we walked through the gardens, his jand gripping mine as we strolled through the gardens. It was so sweet.

Afterwards, we wento to a small cafe on the other side of town. I ordered myself a small dessert and Ludwig ordered a coffee. "I had a lot of fun today Ludwig," I said with a smile.

"Ja, me too," Ludwig replied, squeezing my left hand.

I smiled at Ludwig. He was such a sweet guy. "So Elizabeta and I were looking at these gorgeous dresses at this cute little shop down the road. We were thinking of buying them for Roderick's party."

"Catherine, there's something important I need to ask you," Ludwig politely interrupted.

I blinked in confusion. "Sure Ludwig. You can tell me anything." I replied.

For a moment, Ludwig began to shake a little before he pulled out a small black box from his pocket and opened it. Inside was a beautiful diamond ring. I gasped as he got down on one knee and held the ring up to me. "Catherine, there is no doubt in my mind that I vant to spend every moment of the rest of my life vith you. Vill you do me the honor of becoming my vife?"

Tears of joy gather in my eyes. This was a happy day for me. I nod and then wrap my arms around Ludwig's neck. "Of course I'll marry you."
