Chapter 15: Listen To Me
3rd Person Pov:
Everything seemed to freeze in time and place. No one made a sound or even moved. It was so quiet to the point where you could hear someone breathe. "Kiddo, you should have listened to Logic. We didn't want you to get hurt or see them like this." Morality spoke as Thomas was now center of attention. After all, he did go into the Dark Sides lair without permission and asked his own sides what was happening. "I don't care now! I know you guys protect me from everything but, who's gonna protect you guys?" The Host exclaimed, worried. "Besides, I wasn't doing my part in this problem and so, I wanna help now." He added as he rubbed his arm and looked away. "Logan, Patton, and Deceit. Can you guys leave the area so, I can talk with these two?" Thomas asked and said sides nodded as they used which shadow was closest to them to leave. Soon enough, the three of them left only leaving the other three alone. "Roman and Virgil, what's going on?" He asked as lead his sides to the couch. "Why don't you ask Virgil, he started it." Creativity responded, making a glare toward the anxious side. "Oh, I'm sorry I don't understand bullshit. Say that again?" Anxiety replied, growling at Creativity. Thomas sighed and left them there to find the first aid kit. He compared them to cats fighting for whatever reason. They just start meowing at each other then, all of a sudden hissing starts. Finally, one cat makes the first move and starts the fight.
Thomas returned with the kit (which was located in one of the cabinets of the bathroom) as he made his way to the two sides. "Virgil, take off your sweater and Roman, roll up your sleeves so, I can take care of you guys." The Host ordered and they did as he said while he opened the kit to find what he needed. Thomas noticed the multiple bruises and scratches they made toward one another. As well as some bloodied spots here and there. "Now, tell me what happened." The Host asked as he started tending to Virgil's bruises. "Well, it all started after Logan and I returned from the Imagination. He needed Emile and Remy to answer some questions. Once we came back that's where the drama kinda settled in. Logan suddenly hugged me and Virgil noticed. We made some pretty nasty remarks as we walked past each other." Creativity explained. "Yeah, we kinda had our own time from then on until we saw each other in the hallway upstairs. That's where the fight ensued." Anxiety added while keeping in his groans as Thomas lightly pressed on his bruises to keep some of the band-aids in place. "Wait, what do you mean? What did you guys say to each other?" The Host asked continuing to wrap Virgil's upper part of his arm in a cloth. Then cleaning some of the blood off of his mouth and head.
"As you know, we both are crushing on Logic. We just insulted one another by stating that Logan would never choose each of us or that he secretly hated us." Creativity answered and Thomas paused for a moment. He thought about what his sides said to one another. Why would they say such a thing to each other? "And that's where the fighting began. One of you kinda snapped?" Thomas asked, lightly dabbing a piece of a cotton ball on Virgil's forehead as it had a spot where it was bleeding. "Yeah, really, it was both of us who began. No one was really the first one to begin the fight." Virgil spoke as he clutched onto his sweater as the final band-aids were put on his bruises. "Guys, you can't keep doing this forever. Logan will eventually find out about what's going on." Thomas said as he moved onto Roman's scratches and his bloody nose. "What do you think he'll say about this?" Virgil asked, hesitantly. Even though, the answer is obvious. He wants to know what advice or answer his host will give. "Logan definitely won't like it. He said it himself before. Love turns people into fools. You guys are just proving that point." The Host responded as he cleaned his creative side's scratches. "Well then, what should we do? We certainly don't want our beloved Logic to hate us!" Creativity asked.
"Tell Logan the truth," Thomas answered as he began bandaging up Roman's arms. "By that I mean, confessing. I know, it's two people and he might feel pressured into choosing but, it's better than him knowing it in a bad way." Thomas explained and noticed how both of his sides looked at one another. "Do you really think that it's a good idea?" Anxiety asked as Thomas just cleaned up the blood off of Roman. "Well, it's better than being violent toward one another. As well as worrying and lying toward your crush." The Host responded and got up from his knees to close the kit. He went into the bathroom to put the first aid kit away and made his way into a shadow to leave. Leaving the two sides alone to think and talk.
