Surprises

Some days passed before Bobby got a surprising call. It was Deans wife. He had only met her once, his boy didn't like mixing his two lifes, but he had wanted to do it right and had at least introduced her to his adoptive father. After all, they were family. It seemed like the boy had vented to Lisa about their encounter, which only got him in trouble with her.

When he took the call she sounded unsure at first. "Hey, is that Bobby Singer? Here is Lisa, Dean Winchesters wife."

"Oh, hello Lisa. What can I do for you?", he asked irritated. Why would she call him, a almost stranger? Bobby didn't have to wait long for the answer, because she came straight to the point.

"I heared about what happend. I'm probably not the right person to properly judge the situation, but I think Dean overreacted. I already discussed it with him. He told me so much about you and I believe, he should trust your decisions. If you want to be with this demon than fine. Give him some time... You know how he is... his temper often gets the better out of him. When he cools down, I'll get him to visit you so you can have a proper talk."

After her little speach, the hunter was at a loss of words. She barely knew him, had only bad experiences with the supernatural and yet she put in a good word for them. She really had a good heart and he was proud that his boy found someone like her.

Agreeing to her plead, they said their goodbyes. What an interesting conversation. He hoped that she could reach something with the elder Winchester.

This evening when his hellish boyfriend blinked in the house with takeaway, they discussed Lisa's approach and how they could handle the situation further.
Crowley didn't like the idea of playing overly nice. He accepted the Winchesters, they were good hunters and were important to Bobby, but he wouldn't change his attitude with them. He was a demon after all, being nice wasn't in his system.
Sparing their lifes, fine, that he could do. He was the king after all, but a happy family didn't exist in his world and neither did it in Bobbys. They were far too broken for that. But they could built their own little world. In which these facts didn't matter. A world were a hunter and the king of hell could be together.

The day of the promised talk came faster than everyone of them expected. Three days after the phone call, Sams car and the Impala turned in the scrape yard. It was early afternoon and Bobby had been working on an old pickup, when he heard the commotion.
By the time he had made his way to the front, the two brothers had engaged in a heated argument.

Crossing his arms he stood at the door and prevented the hellhound from running to them.
"Ya want to come inside or do ya like the nice weather?", he yelled across the front yard. Their heads snapped to him in sync. Seemed like they hadn't noticed his presence before. Before he could decide what to do, the backdoor of the car opened and Lisa got out of it.
Rising his eyebrows he tried to assess the situation. The Winchester boys he could handle, he had done so since the first time their father dropped them off here, but what should he do with this surprise visit of the whole family? When he guessed correctly Ben was in the back of the car, so either Lisa had hold her promise or something happened.

Sighting he waved them in.
"Com'on boys! Ya don't want to stand there all day, do ya? Lisa, grap the boy and come in, its much too hot to keep him in the car. I think I have juice somewhere."

In the fridge was indeed a new bottle of orange juice. Thanks to Crowley the hunter assumed, because he definitly didn't buy it. He took it and reentered the hallway, where the brothers  stood unsure.
"Whatever it is spit it out!", he grumbled.
Finally Sam bursted out with an explanation: "We're soo sorry for the surprise visit, but there are these djinns and they tried to kill me and Dean and it wasn't save..."
The younger Winchester was rambling and it was difficult to make out a sense behind it, but Bobby was experienced.
Stopping him with a swift motion, he laid a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay. We will handle it. And in the meantime Lisa and Ben are safe here." Glancing at Dean he tried to read his expression. He was definitely still pissed at the thing with him amd Crowley, but he seemed more worried about his family at the moment.
Turning his attention to the woman and the kid in the doorway, Bobby tried to look less gruff. "Hey Lisa, Ben. Nice to see you.", he nodded, before only adressing the boy, " I found a bottle of orange juice for ya, would you like to go upstairs and watch TV? Just fixed the old thing."
His gaze shifted from the old hunter to his mom to Dean. While his new father still stood frozen, his mother pushed him in the direction if the stairs. That was enough to get him to grab the bottle out of the old hunters hand and to run upstairs. Bobby could only yell after him which door to take.

Now that it was only the adults they had to make a plan. That would be a looong evening all the tension considered.

Hey,
Yes  I'm still working to finish this as soon as possible. Sorry it took longer than expected, because I'm on vacation with a very full plan.
Aaannndd I can't seem to find an end 😂
I know where I want it to end, but I write more in between than expected so the chapters pile up.
IF everything goes as planned I will end it with the next two chapters. The next one is already finished. I will post it next week and if I get the last on finised (maybe tomorrow), it will be published directly after that one.

Byeee author over and out
