Haru was late getting home, and it was already dark. Nagisa, Rei, and Mokoto were huddled up inside Haru's happy home.

"Where the heck is Haru?" Rei cautiously asked, pushing his glasses up on his nose "He's usually home by now, Right?"

"Yeah, you're right... I wonder what's taking him so long." said Nagisa, a bright eyed, almost obnoxiously entergetic kid

"I'm going to go find him. He can't be far..." declared Mokoto, looking wearily through the window, a sad smile on his face.

Mokoto opens the door, and walks out, but forgets something important.
