Chapter 39- You Didn't Know?

Chapter 39

It's insane how much you take for granted and the things you think little of when you don't have a person to intimately share your life with.

Everyday. Almost every moment, with.

Waking up to the rays of light shining through the curtains and into the room used to have no effect or importance to me.

But everything changes when you also get to wake up to your world laying right next to you.

Weeks have passed and much preparation has been put into Michael's first solo tour.

Today's the day that we're taking the thirteen-and-a-half hour flight to the other side of the world.

Destination: Tokyo, Japan.

The kick-off of the Bad Tour.

Not exactly excited about that fact that we had to rise early, I went in early last night and expected enough sleep on the plane.

It's such a privilege to be able to travel the world with Michael while he gets to live his dream.

Of course, getting to this stage has been everything but a walk in the park for him. Blood, sweat and tears have been put into this.

And now, with billions of fans across the globe, I think it's safe to say that he's now reaping the rewards of his hard work.

I couldn't be more proud.

I was all ready and packed the night before.

I sigh quietly, finally opening my eyes. Michael's sitting up on the edge of the bed, his back facing me.

I grin and sit on my knees behind him, leaning in to give him a kiss on his cheek.

"Good morning, super star." I whisper in his ear.

He smiles. "Hey Bells. How'd you sleep?"

"Pretty good. You know I'm not a morning person," I sulk playfully as he turns around and kisses my forehead.

"I can't wait to see Japan. I bet it's beautiful. With its culture, architecture.."

He nods. "Its hot Japanese girls.."

I gasp and slap his chest. "You did not."

Michael laughs. "Baby, you know that was a joke. Come on, I'm sorry. You're way hotter than any girl in the universe, and, you're a woman. That's what makes you different."

I roll my eyes. "Whatever."

"Bellaaa." He ran his fingers down my body and between my legs. Then he frowns.

"What did I tell you about wearing panties to bed?" He asks.

I laugh and push his hands away from me. "Go get ready."

Michael chuckles before getting off the bed and walking to the bathroom.

-

An hour later, I'm pulling my hair into a loose, low ponytail.

I then pull on a black hoodie, and yes, skinny jeans, those tight pairs that I'm learning to like and tolerate.

"Michael," I call from my closet.

"Yeah?"

"You almost done? Do you want me to make breakfast?"

He says back, "Yes please! I'm so hungry."

I finish my look with a pair of black booties and walk into Michael's closet.

He's wearing a flannel shirt and zipping up his classic black slacks.

I couldn't help but lick my lips. And this man is all mine? Talk about dreams coming true.

I kiss his lips sweetly. "You look great. I'm making scrambled eggs. Good with you?"

"Why not let Kai make it?" Michael asks.

I shrug, still getting used to the fact that Michael has maids and chefs. It's so natural to cook my own meals, not sit back and watch someone do it for me.

Michael smiles. "Bella, that's what they're here to do. Let them do their jobs. Kai should be downstairs. Let her know what you want to have and I'll have the same."

I nod. "Okay."

Heading down the rosewood flight of stairs, I find Kai flipping through a magazine.

"Good morning Bella, what can I whip up for you?" She smiles.

"Good morning Kai, and Michael and I would love scrambled eggs."

"Coming up!"

As Kai begins to cook, I become intrigued by the few photos that Michael had displayed.

One particular photo was of his holding hands and smiling with a curly-brown haired girl.

She was beautiful.

And I'm sure with Michael's old ways, the two had some sort of past.

I furrow my eyebrows. Who could that be?

"Childhood friend of his, that girl. They used to do everything together."

I straighten up as Kai spoke, wiping her hands down her apron.

I was so absorbed in the picture that I didn't realize when Kai finished cooking.

I thank her and take my plate that she prepared, leaning against the counter.

"If you didn't know any better, you'd think they were in love. Who knows?" Kai shrugs. "Maybe they were."

I push my eggs around my plate slowly with a fork.

"What's her name? The girl."

"Tatiana. You didn't know?" Kai replies and Michael comes down the stairs.

"Thank you Kai. Remember my date breaks for the tour, we'll need you in on those days." He says while walking into the kitchen.

She smiles. "Thank you Mr. Jackson. I hope you have a wonderful tour. Bye Bella." She waves and leaves the kitchen.

No! I internally scream. I have so many unanswered questions about this woman. Tatiana?

I then put two and two together.

She'll be going on tour.

Michael gently rubs my fingers. "Are you okay baby? You aren't eating."

"Oh. Yeah, fine."

I take a few bites of eggs and put my plate down.

Why does he still have her picture up? Were they ever actually in love? What will happen on tour?

I sigh and gulp down some orange juice, seeing that Michael is waiting for me.

"Ready." He smiles and takes my hand as his workers carry our luggage to his private jet.

As we reach the jet, I think to myself that this tour will come with more problems than anticipated.
