Nikkie Cramer AKA chosen_one - Lizzie Marie Antis

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Next up is Nikkie Cramer with Lizzie (like McGuire??) Marie Antis. And from the looks of this, I can safely say it will be one of the longest interviews. BUT that means WAAAAYY more thought was put into it. So kudos to you, Nikkie. Kudos big time :)

1. Who are you?

My name is Lizzie Marie Antis. Middle names are quite annoying, aren’t they? Obviously, I am a female. Technically, I’m fifteen-years-old, but events in my life have aged me passed my fifteen. I like to think that I look like my mother did. Sometimes it breaks my heart to look in the mirror. I can see her curious blue eyes reflected in my stormy colored ones, and my dirty blond hair is only slightly darker than hers was. My personality really depends on who you ask. *laughs lightly* If you ask my step-father, he will tell you I am quiet, extremely thoughtful, driven, and very stubborn. If you would have asked my mother, she would have told you that I am sweet, realistic, self-reliant until it comes to my nightmares, and slightly paranoid. Of course, she would have said that last part with a grin. To other people, I’m known as Megan Amreeaa. No, it’s not split personality disorder. I actually have another consciousness in my head with my own. She’s a lot like I am, the same age and everything, except she doesn’t really like the way I think.

2. What's the title of your story and what kind of story is it?

The title of my story is The Chosen Ones. It fits really well if you ask me. It’s a science fiction series. There are going to be eight books featuring yours truly, my team, and a bunch of other people. Hopefully it doesn’t take more than eight books to accomplish our goal!

3. Are you in love? If so, with who?

Eh, I wouldn’t really consider it love. Fate threw us together in an alley where this whole thing started. We met and the circumstances glued us. *shrugs* I suppose it is love. Just don’t tell him I said that. His name is John Dustiyne. He’s my better half. His smile and laugh give me butterflies. The way he constantly makes jokes makes me laugh. And his brains and planning give me hope when I have none left. He helps me lead my team when he isn’t off getting into trouble with the bad guy. Sometimes the things he does make me want to shake my head and end it. You could call it a love hate relationship if you wanted to.

4. Do you have any talents?

I’m a very deep thinker. Yes, I consider that a talent. Thinking the way I do actually saved my life once. It was a complicated situation that’s in my story. I don’t want to give anything away. *grins* Along with my looks, my mother gave me the amazing ability to draw. I can sketch anything with any material. It clears my head and helps me think straight, which is something I have to do a lot with Megan in my head. I don’t like to write and I absolutely hate to read.

5. Who is the closest to you?

I don’t let people get too close to me most time. But if I had to choose, I would say the person I am closest to now is my younger brother Mike. He is the complete opposite of me almost which is probably why we get along so well. Plus he came looking for me in another galaxy when I was kidnapped by the bad guy. He risked literally everything to save me and I could never repay him for that. Before everything happened with Megan, the team, and the car accident, my mother was the closest to me. She was my anchor to Earth and the life I lived there. She got me through my father leaving, my nightmares, and all of those doctors. *shudders* Did I mention how much I hate doctors?

6. Describe your perfect moment.

My perfect moment would have to be spending time with my family in a cabin on the lake. We would all sit on the dock, my brothers would be swimming while my father fished and my mother and I sketched the sunset together. It would be a simple time of quiet chatting and reminiscing. Unfortunately, that never happened. My father left when I was small and my mother was killed in the accident.

7. What animal do you most relate to and why?

I think I most relate to the phoenix. Even though it isn’t a real animal, my life seems to compare with the bird’s extremely well. See, when I got into the car accident, Megan decided it’d be a good time to let me know about this entire other life I needed to start living. I didn’t have a problem with her explanations because it helped me to understand what my nightmares really were. Like the phoenix, I died and burned when that drunk driver hit our car. And I was reborn again when I woke up, not just as a new Lizzie, but as Megan as well. It’s a combination of the two of us. I’m sure the bird remembers something of its predecessor.

8. Who is your creator/author? Do you like them and why/why not?

My author is Nikkie Cramer. I love her! She’s spent seven years perfecting my story and never got frustrated when my life got too complicated. She always worked through my problems with more thought than necessary. I don’t even think about my life the way she does. And the relationships I have with my team and the other people in my story are so carefully formed that sometimes I don’t even understand them.

9. How would you describe your creator/author and why?

I would describe Nikkie as someone who has too much time on her hands. *laughs* Really, I would! She created this entire galaxy with rules and a whole history. I would also say that she is really creative. Though sometimes she second guesses herself even when I’m right there screaming that it’s a fantastic idea and that I can get through whatever she throws at me. She doesn’t believe me though. Now if it’s Ezeckial or Mike screaming at her, she’ll throw any idea out to let us tackle.

10. Favorite color(s):

Honestly, I don’t have a favorite color. My friends back on Earth always thought I was insane for it. With me being an artist, it is pretty strange. But if I absolutely had to choose a color, I would say the electric blue color that I see in Jordan’s eyes or the light glistening brown in Mike’s eyes. Maybe the unknown color of the stars I notice when we fly at thrice light speed. But that would only be if I had to choose a favorite color.

11. Favorite Song or Genre:

My favorite genre of music is classical. I got my taste in music from my mother. She would constantly hum Bache or Dukas and it stuck on me.

12. Speaking of Genres, what type is your story?

My story is the fantastic science fiction genre when anything can happen!

13. What do you like doing in your free time?

In my free time, I practice magic with Jordan, tell Mike about Megan, and of course draw. However, with the fate of the universe on my shoulders, I really don’t have much free time unless we’re flying to another planet.

14. What's your favorite time of day and why?

I love the days on the planet Coar. The streets are so busy with refuges and training rebels and the skies are covered with darted ships and gliders. When I am on Earth, I love the nights. I can see every star in the sky and I can always count on natural sounds and quiet.

15. How do you feel about makeup?

I don’t see a point for makeup. Before everything happened, I never had the patience unless I was going somewhere with friends or to a psychiatrist appointment. After everything happened, I started training and sleeping more. And when my team is on a mission there just isn’t time for it.

16. What's a memorable moment in your life?

The thing I will always remember is that night in the hospital when Megan first spoke to me. Everything about my life up until that point clicked together and finally made sense. I was not longer a broken girl with nightmares, but a Chosen One with two separate memories. I had a purpose that wasn’t waking up every four hours and talking to stupid doctors. I found out who I was truly supposed to be.

17. Describe yourself in one word.

Underestimated.

18. What's your goal in life?

My ultimate goal is to find the six Pieces and the Sword of Power before the bad guys can use them to take over the universe. All the while, keeping my team and my younger brother Mike alive and healthy.

19. If you could tell your creator one thing, what would it be?

Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for bringing all these wonderful people into my life. You know what I would be without them. And thank you for choosing the path you have me on. Instead of choosing the “padded white room and short story” path for me, you chose a “travel the universe searching for the Pieces and the Sword of Power while learning to use magic and spending the time with people who care about me” path. *grins*

20. If you read halfway through your story and could end it your way, how would YOU do it? I would end it with John standing in the doorway instead of Andrew. In all honesty, I would push Andrew off the planet if I could. He is just a waste of good space. John, on the other hand, is my other half. I can’t do this without him and right now I am. Even with our love hate relationship, I miss him more than I miss my mother.

.

Awww That last bit made me feel all girly inside. Especially pushing someone off a planet. :D She sounds like a badass. And very original sounding! I love stories like these. Different is SOOOO much better than cliches.

Oh, and NOT like McGuire...
