LifeLusitingDreamer - Evera

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I enjoy these interviews myself. Here's another of my characters, Evera! She lives in the 17th century therefore she's not really used to being questioned. Especially since Fae can't lie. It should be interesting :)

1. Who are you?

My name is Evera. Fae don't tend to have last names and my changeling parents' last names aren't even worthy enough to be mentioned. I have long russet curls with forest green eyes and a figure fit for the huntress I was raised to become. My eyes are the reason of who I am. They are what separate me into the Unseelie Court, a court of passion and desires. I hope I follow the lighter side of the Green-Eyed people though. When living in caves, the dark can consume you, even the soul.

2. What's the title of your story and what kind of story is it?

The Brave One and it is the first of The Destined series. This first novel follows the beginning of my story. I feel I should be honored to have the title Brave. Courage is a very noble trait but I do not agree. My heart is filled with fear.

3. Are you in love? If so, with who?

I am. And it does lift my essence to say that. Fae cannot lie nor can their hearts truly feel the complexity of human emotion but my heart does belong to William. He was my childhood friend long ago and I believe he was the only destined to be with me.

4. Do you have any talents?

My skills are combative. My people are raised with war raging in their blood, whether they belong to the Unseelie Court or not. But I will list the abilities I have learned:

*Archery

*Hand-to-hand combat

*Listening to the Earth (Common to Fae, yet you humans have yet to acquire this)

*Survival (it is indeed a skill even Humans strive for)

*Tracking

Many others which come naturally to Fae. If I were to speak them all, I would give way to my culture's secrets. We hide for reasons you should never come to understand.

5. Who is the closest to you?

Before I was allowed to back to the Human "world" on my mission, I was not one for interactions. I stayed to myself, reading more than I care to let people know. Now, William is the only one who I am able to let close.

6. Describe your perfect moment.

Racing on horseback through the forest. I'd love for this moment to be during a summer storm, with the wind and rain slashing at my face and the warm air flowing through my drenched locks. This wouldn't be me running from danger, but a joyous ride of freedom.

7. What animal do you most relate to and why?

Any breed of Horse. I love running in open fields and would be as loyal to a sister warrior as a mare would be to her rider. Humans of your time say "Dogs are a man's best friend." To you I must say "Horses are a Fae's ally."

8. Who is your creator/author? Do you like them and why/why not?

My creator goes by the name of LifeLustingDreamer. She wishes for me not to divulge her real name for she rather likes the anonymity of her work. She feels it lets her be sure her work is appreciated for what it is, not for who it is from. I admire her for that sentiment. And yes, I do like her very much. She is thoughtful and even in times of great sorrow in my story, she helps me see the light.

9. How would you describe your creator/author and why?

I would describe her as fantastical and otherworldly. I believe she might even be jealous of who and what I am for even though she lives in a town filled with many people and little trees, she feels more connected to nature. Perhaps even as much as a Fae.

10. Favorite color(s):

Natural shades like that of the forest leaves and the darkened waves of a river's water. Also the purest sky blue. I am jealous of your times and how easily you are able to produce those hues.

11. Favorite Song or Genre:

I do not have much time for music. I was never one for the ways of sitting long periods to play an instrument anyhow. I do love the tribal dancing that we enjoy at the Ownah festivals though therefore my answer would be the traditional songs of my Fae culture.

12. Speaking of Genres, what type is your story?

It relies heavily in Fantasy and Adventure but the undertone in the story is Romance.

13. What do you like doing in your free time?

I walk the caves of Morag and tending to the horses. In my story I do not have any "free time." I am too busy perfecting my abilities I have listed above.

14. What's your favorite time of day and why?

Morning. Living underground with the Unseelie, we are not able to see the light of day fade in from night's dark. To me, it is the natural magic of the world.

15. How do you feel about makeup?

I am not one for it but I do enjoy it at the Ownah festivities. It is fun every once a year. The usage of it more than that seems superfluous.

16. What's a memorable moment in your life?

I do believe finding out my mother and father were not truly my parents at ten winters old seems to be very memorable. Also, the part where I was thrust into a world I never knew existed and told I was a creature I only knew to be folklore. Those are the memories that tend to stand out amongst my past.

17. Describe yourself in one word.

Passionate.

18. What's your goal in life?

To be free. There is no way I can describe in how I will manage that but it is the thing I want most.

19. If you could tell your creator one thing, what would it be?

Your eyes are Brown and if you were Fae, you would be separated into the Sealy Court. Even with that knowledge, I want you to follow your desires and passions as much as you force me to follow mine. Find your destiny.

20. If you read halfway through your story and could end it your way, how would YOU do it?

I would turn myself around, find Ilayda myself and return to William. I would destroy the necklace if I could but knowing that would never be so, I would hide it until the end of time. No one should have the power it holds.

.

I say thank you to Evera for the message. And I hope you all can take her words to heart as well. Find your desitny because destinies never adhered to commands. <3
