The Sapotis
Alya, Marinette, and (Y/N) were all hanging out at Alya's place for a sleep over. Marinette was on the phone with Alya's mother. "Yes, Mrs Cesaire. The girls are ready for bed, uh.....technically speaking." She said, shooting a look at Alya and (Y/N) chasing her sisters around. "Uh-hu. Yeah. We're good. Bye." Marinette said, hanging up the phone. "Alright. Come on, bedtime, you little monsters! That's enough mischief for one day!" Alya said. "It's not us! It's the Sapotis! Ha, Ha!" They laughed in unison, still running from Alya. (Y/N) jumped in and scooped them both up. "Rawar! I'm stealing your sisters Alya!" (Y/N) said, her and the girls laughing. One of them climbed up sitting on (Y/N)'s shoulders as the other was snuggled up in (Y/N)'s arm. (Y/N) continued running around Alya chasing them. "You seem really good with children (Y/N)." Marinette pointed out. (Y/N) giggled a little. "I've always wanted little siblings. And one of the things I learned early on was to be kind and understanding." She said, carrying the girls to their room. "Off to bed, little Sapotis. You need to rest if you want to be fighting fit tomorrow!" Alya said as (Y/N) tucked the girls into their beds. "It's not fair! We don't want to go to bed. We want to stay up, like you!" The one in pink said. "Yeah! We want to watch the movie and tell eachother secrets." The one in blue agreed. "And what kind of zombies will you be at the amusement park, tomorrow, if you go to bed late?" Alya reasoned. (Y/N) smiled laying the girls back down. "Hey girls. Your sister is right. You want to do all the things at the park tomorrow right?" She questioned. Both girls nodded. (Y/N) smiled. "Then your gonna want to sleep now. So you can have energy all day tomorrow!" She said gently. (Y/N) then yawned a little. "See? Even I'm getting tired." (Y/N) shot a look at Marinette and the girl mirrored her actions and made herself look extra drowsy. "So what's it gonna be? Boring, sit down, pyjama party with the big kids, or the super fun amusement park tomorrow." Alya said. "The amusement park!" The girls shouted. (Y/N) smiled. "Then get some rest girls." She said. "That's what I thought. So get some rest little Sapotis." Alya said as (Y/N) got up and left the room.
Alya got up and closed the door behind her. Alya, (Y/N), and Marinette started getting things set up for their slumber party. "You seriously have a way with kids Alya. You too (Y/N)." Marinette said. (Y/N) laughed a little and Alya shrugged. "But uh....how are the Sapi.....Sapo...." Marinette trailed off. "The Sapotis? They're little monsters from a Creole fable. Who are always pulling pranks and making mischief." Alya explained. (Y/N) hummed. "Reminds me of the God of Mischief. Ever hear of Loki?" (Y/N) questioned. Alya nodded. "I didn't know you were into folklore (Y/N)." She said. Alya laughed a little. "Now that we're alone I need to tell you something." Alya said, pulling out her phone. "Ladybug has been around since the Pharaohs. But no way can the Ladybug we know be over 5,000 years old! So, I downloaded a great app that analysed recordings I had of her talking. Based on the frequencies of her voice, it turns out she's a girl our age!" Alya said excitedly. Marinette and (Y/N) slowly began to grow nervous. "Uh...Alya...the orange juice." Marinette pointed out. (Y/N) and Alya turned to see the orange juice gone. She groaned a little.
"It's not us! It's the Sapotis!" The girls insisted. Alya looked a little annoyed so (Y/N) stepped into the room. "Alya. Let me handle this." She said. Alya gave her a look but backed up. (Y/N) sat down in the room as Alya closed the door, leaving it cracked open. "So, do you girls want to hear an old legend passed down from where I come from?" (Y/N) questioned. The girls looked at eachother then at (Y/N) before nodding in unison. (Y/N) smiled. "Long ago, Japan was plagued by vicious monsters, and mysterious people with powers. It's later said that 10% of Japan's population were born with powers of some kind, or special mutations. These powers and mutations were later named as Quirks. Now 5% of people with Quirks, used them for evil. To terrorize and to take from those weaker." The girls sucked in gasps. "But the other 5% used their Quirks to fight back against the evil that plagued the country. Leading to the formation of heroes, and villains. Wars raged on between the two sides for years. Eventually the heroes had driven the villains into the underground, but crime rates were still up. And then, just when it looked like the heroes were useless, a figure arose. A women, riding on bat like wings and wielding a beautiful Katana. Crime rates dropped near zero after she began patrolling the streets. This dragon-hero would appear in the dead of night. And for centuries she'd protect the innocent. But many years ago, she became less and less prominent after a new hero began showing up. A man, who stood tall and smiled in the face of danger. His name, was All Might." The girls stared at (Y/N) in wonder.
"All Might is a powerful hero, who protects everyone, and never wavers. He always wins. But after All Might showed up, the Dragon Hero slowly began to disappear. The Dragon Hero had been around for years, was she immortal? Or was her power genetic? No one knows. All we know is that she was super powerful. But she disappeared after All Might began fighting crime. But Legend has it that if crime ever shoots up again, she'll reappear." (Y/N) said. She smiled. "It's said that for the 5% of people that wish to protect with their Quirks, there's a school located somewhere in Japan that trains those that want to be heroes. And it's said that even All Might himself teaches there." The twins gasped again. "Did you go there (Y/N)?" They asked. The (H/C) haired female laughed. "No. No. I don't have a power. So there's no way I'd be able to go there." She said. "Is it true?" One asked. (Y/N) smiled. "I've been attacked by villains believe it or not. So I know Quirks are real." (Y/N) said. The girls gasped and (Y/N) smiled. "Don't worry though girls. Heroes always managed to save me and my class." (Y/N) said. She tucked the girls in tightly. "Now you girls behave and go to bed now. And rest assured, know that even if we aren't in Japan, you have three wonderful heroes who are keeping you guys safe." (Y/N) said. She left the room only to find Marinette and Alya looking at her in shock. Alya grabbed (Y/N)'s shoulders. "Is it true?" She questioned. (Y/N) smiled with a nod. "Do...do you have a power, er....Quirk?" Marinette questioned. (Y/N) shook her head. "No. No. I'm just a normal girl. I'm not in that 10% that have Quirks." She said. Alya squinted at her. "You aren't lying about that are you?" (Y/N) laughed. "Why would I lie about that? I promise, I don't have any powers." She said.
"I don't think it matters if you have a power or not. I bet you'd be a great hero." Marinette said. (Y/N) blushed a little before sitting down on the couch. "Nice of you to say that. But I don't really like fighting or being in danger much. I'll only defend myself if I have to." (Y/N) said, waving a hand dismissively. Next thing they knew the snacks were gone. Alya looked highly frustrated. "Alright that's enough!" She said, opening the door to her sisters' room. "Get outta bed one more time and no one will go to the park tomorrow!" Alya declared firmly. "It's not us! It's-." "This is your last warning. No joke!" Alya hissed, cutting them off. The girls nodded before snuggling down into bed. Marinette and (Y/N) were washing the dishes when Alya came back in. "Speaking of heroes, Alya don't you think it's important that Ladybug's secret identity stays...y'know, secret?" (Y/N) questioned. "She needs it to protect her family and friends, otherwise the villains could use them to get to her." Marinette added. They all heard more giggling and spotted the girls on the couch about to play episodes of a show. Alya stomped in front of the TV with a vicious growl. The girls started laughing and Alya looked ready to blow. (Y/N) sighed before running over and scooping the girls up. "Patience is a virtue Alya. Especially with little kids." (Y/N) said. She started spinning around with a laugh before singing softly. "Distant moon, so big and bright, softest silver glowing through the night, high atop, the mountain gold, sun unseen, the world is cold." She began. The girls began to close their eyes. "I wish, to see this world with my own eyes. To calm, the elders and silence their cries. Because of you I now gaze up and sing. The lullaby of the moon." (Y/N) sung. The girls grew a little drowsy and (Y/N) returned them to their beds. She closed the door and stared at Alya. "Little kids are highly prone to negative emotions when they feel like things are unfair. You have to be firm with them sure. But there hasn't been any akumas today. And with Hawk Moth always on the prowl it's better to keep things in high spirits. We have to be careful. Because emotions of little kids are very, very, strong. Especially negative emotions." (Y/N) said calmly. Alya took a deep breath. "Okay. Okay. You're right. I should try to not lose my temper with them." She agreed. (Y/N) nodded before flopping on the couch. "So anyways, weren't we gonna watch a movie?" She questioned. That's when they heard more giggling. Alya officially lost it.
Marinette shot a look at (Y/N) and the female shrugged. "I tried to tell her." (Y/N) said. Alya stormed out of their room and sat on the couch. (Y/N) pat her shoulder a little. "Let's just hope Hawk Moth doesn't have a night clock." She said. They turned on a movie only for it be followed by wild laughing. Alya growled getting up and storming into their room only to be followed by tiny monsters. "Maybe you were a little too strict with them!" Marinette shouted. "Grab their hats! That's probably were the Akuma is!" (Y/N) shouted back, running into the kitchen and grabbing a jar. Marinette and Alya dove for the Sapotis only for them to dodge. (Y/N) jumped at them trying to grab the hats only for them to suddenly multiply. "Their multiplying as they eat!" (Y/N) shouted. She spotted a window. "MARINETTE ALYA WINDOW!!!!" She shouted. Marinette dove after the window only for the Sapotis to beat her too it. Alya left the building to try and get them back. So did Marinette. (Y/N) grabbed the hats of the two Sapotis in the room before snapping them. The Sapotis disappeared but there wasn't any Akumas. Hoseki popped out of her bag before looking around. "Welp. Looks like it's time." (Y/N) said. The Dragon Kwami sighed. "And here I was hoping we'd be able to just watch a movie and relax tonight." He grumbled. "Hoseki, Flare On!!!" (Y/N) shouted. She transformed into Draco and flew out the window. She started grabbing hats with her tail and snapping them, drawing her Katana and slicing them trying to find the Akuma.
"It's forbidden-." "To play around with traffic lights." Ladybug and Cat Noir said, cornering one of the Sapotis. Draco landed on top of the street light, before grabbing the hat and tossing it to Ladybug. "Just in time you two." Ladybug said, snapping the hat as the little monster disappeared into smoke. "No Akuma?" Cat Noir questioned. "We need to find the original Sapotis. They multiply every time they eat. So we need to get the hats of the original ones." Draco explained. "I see, but how do you know this?" Cat Noir asked. "Trial and error." Ladybug said. "So we've...gotta catch 'em all?" Cat Noir questioned. "Bet I can find the real one before you do." Draco said. "Up for a challenge?" Ladybug questioned. Cat Noir smiled. "You're on!" He declared. The three heroes began snapping hats left and right but they just kept coming over and over. All three heroes stood back to back fending off the Sapotis. Ladybug used her Lucky Charm only to have a tea pot fall in her hands. "I've got nothing!" She declared. Draco growled a little, smacking Sapotis away with her tail. "Well you better think of something bug! This is getting out of hand!" Draco shouted. Her and Cat Noir continued to fight off the Sapotis as Ladybug ran off. Draco grabbed Cat Noir and swung him onto her back. "Been a while since we've done this number huh?" She questioned, flying into the air. Cat Noir extended his staff. "Let's do this!" He said. They both roared, charging into battle. They dropped into the city fending off the little monsters.
Ladybug dropped back in with a new hero, Rena Rouge. With her help they were able to make quick work of the Sapotis and Cat Noir with Draco took the girls back home. Draco sat on top of the roof waiting on Marinette and Alya to return. She transformed back, slipping onto the balcony. Hoseki looked at (Y/N) noticing she was tired and seemed distracted by something. "Hey (Y/N), you alright?" He asked. (Y/N) sighed. "I...I miss the others. I miss Sho and Izu-kun. Talking about Quirks and my Legacy again I-I....." She trailed off. Hoseki's eyes softened. "Home sick?" He questioned. She nodded slightly. (Y/N) sighed. "I'm gonna lay down. See ya' in the morning Hoseki." She said, heading inside. Hoseki got (Y/N)'s phone out of her pocket laying it on the balcony table. He speed dialed a number and the phone rung a couple of times. A drowsy voice answered. "Hello?" A squeaky male voice questioned in Japanese. "Hi. Izuku, it's me, Hoseki." The dragon Kwami said, responding in Japanese as well. He heard a thud on the other end of the phone. "Hoseki!? Oh my God it's been forever! How are you?" Izuku responded quickly.
"I've been good. And yeah. It has been forever. So, I was wondering, how would you and Shoto like to come to Paris?"
