6. Housecats with clean coats that are dry and glossy become easily charged with static electricity. You can see sparks if you rub your cat's fur in the dark.

10. Flushing cat feces down the toilet can introduce T. gondii, a protozoan parasite, into waterways and the ocean, causing harm to sea animals. The parasite is resistant to chemicals used in water treatment facilities.
