"Mom please!!! I finally got my own money now! I can buy it myself!" The pretty little black haired girl said, pleading her mother to go out and let her buy her dream kitten, a pure black kitten with yellow eyes. She stared at her mother with her bright yellow eyes. Her mother sighed. "Its a big responsibility, Aayla you gotta feed it, bathe it-" she was cut off by Aayla saying "Ya ya ya I get it I'll do all of that PLEEEAAASSSEEE?"

Her mother gave a sigh, then said. "Fine"

Five minutes later, Aayla was racing down the streets of Eugine to the pet store. She was smiling happily, her black hair flowing behind her and her yellow eyes glimmered. She finally arrived at the pet store and raced inside. "Hi! Can I buy that ca-?" she said, pointing to the... Empty cage.. She frowned. "Sorry, kid. The last costumer JUST bought him" the man at the counter said. Aayla sighed and nodded. "Thanks, Mr. McLaughlin" she said and walked out.

On her way home, she passed by an ally.

Meeeooooww

She perked her head up. What was that? She looked over into the ally at a pair of yellow eyes staring at her.  Her heart skipped a beat as she saw the beautiful calico that steped out into the light. The calico held an amulet in its teeth. The cat padded to her and when Aayla crouched down to look at the cat, it's neck stretched up and touched it's nose to her forehead. Her vision clouded and she heard a soft, gentle voice like clouds whispering in her ears. "Take care of this amulet... Your the only one worthy" the voice spoke. Aayla's vision cleared and the calico was walking away.

Oooh! I wonder what it means! Hehe... Anyways, thanks for reading! Love you!
