A Family I've always Wanted

When I opened my eyes I wasn't in the whole tree from before, instead I was on a soft, comfy pillow, and sleeping all around me were four German Shepherd pups."I'm glad that you're awake, I was starting to get worried." I turned to the voice, it was another German shepherd, but she was no pup. She told me that I won't be able to move my legs for a while and that gave her the time to explain how I got here. She said that her name was Shasta, that she was out on her routine walk through Central Park when she saw that I was trapped in the tree by the three dogs and by acting on instinct she fought off them off. So soon as the dogs left she picked me up by the scruff of my neck and brought me here where her owner took care of me. It turns out that her owner is what she calls "An animal foster Mom." When she was done talking the front door opened and what I'm guess is Shasta's owner walks in. She looked to be in her mid twenties, she had long black hair, and pale skin. She said that her name was Raven, but what really drew my interests was that she had two different eyes, one blue and one brown. She knelt down towards me and said that it was okay that I could stay here. At first I thought she was joking, but she wasn't.

It's been about three years now since Raven took me in. Life has been great living with Raven, Shasta, and about a dozen other dogs, and now, I know for a fact, that running away was the best decision I ever made.
