Elric and Regina Castillo watched their newborn daughter sleep from where they were standing in the other room. They knew that their little Alix was going to be the only child Regina bears. Eileithyia could only grant them one child, but neither of them could be happier. Their little girl was their pride and joy. Even if she wasn't a male.

Their pack had a long history of female Alphas. Alix would just have to work twice as hard to gain the respect she deserved.

"She'll be okay," Elric murmured to his wife and pressed a soft kiss to her clothed shoulder.

Regina leaned back against her husband, her eyes still firmly on her pup. She had gone through 15 hours of childbirth for her and almost died in the process. But she was still here, and she was going to make sure that Alix had the best life she could.

"I know she will," Regina murmured back. "She's my daughter."

"I thought wolves had destined mates," Cyprian said to his best friend. Elric looked over at him. Elric was the human and Regina was the wolf and just like Cyprian had said, Elric was Regina's destined mate. Chosen by Artemis and Aphrodite. Although not uncommon, it was still a surprise when humans were mated with wolves in the Original Pack.

"That's a myth," Elric told his friend with a smile as he set his hand on the man's shoulder. Outsiders weren't supposed to know about the whole destiny stuff. Or the fact that the Greek Gods exist.

Cyprian looked at his friend for a second before nodding and looking at his own daughter. Esther Hagens. She was born about two months after Alix was born. They're daughters have been best friends since the moment they could walk.

"I have to speak to Erika, but I don't see why we can't have them marry when they're older," Cyprian said, watching as Esther held Alix in the air with her magic.

"Esther, put me down!" Alix shouted, annoyed as she thrashed around, trying to grab at her friend.

Esther smirked smugly up at her, "are you going to keep putting dirt in my hair?" She asked, placing a hand on her hip.

"No! I promise, now please put me down!" Alix whined. Esther laughed and set the girl back down. As soon as Alix was back down on the ground, she launched herself at Esther much to the blonde's dismay.

Elric chuckled, smiling at the two.

The Hagen family witch bloodline was very powerful. Wolves and witches hadn't gotten along for a long time, but Regina didn't see anything wrong with having witches as friends. Sure, some were awful and used them in ways that hurt others, but so did wolves.

Regina and Elric had talked about it after Regina had recognized the bond between their daughter and Esther. They wanted to arrange a marriage between the two of them. They would be the most powerful pack and coven.

Elric knew that Esther was destined for great things. Maybe not good, but very great things. She was going to be very, very powerful.

Regina and Elric only wished the best for their one and only pup.
