1999 WAS ONE OF THE YEARS Castiel had to look out for Tony the most, had seen how reckless and drunk he was getting and he just couldn't keep his hands out of his partner. The woman was pretty and sober and she kept on talking about work, something that Tony was intrigued by and somehow worked on his charm on getting into her hotel room to keep the conversation flowing.

Castiel had a female vessel this time, something that they knew could be dangerous if close to Tony, Castiel had seen how Tony would get when he had woman around him. Keeping their distance from the now very strong and alcoholic man, they had follow them towards the elevator, mixing correctly with other female companions who just giggled with glasses of alcohol in their hands.

Castiel was intrigued by the man, he didn't seem to harm Tony in any way and was incredibly interested on working with the female partner, as they all reached their floor and walked out Castiel with their female vessel, walked slower behind the group and actually stood behind, "searching" for something in the bag she had brought.

"See me at the roof in five minutes" those words were the ones that stood up the most in Castiel's attention, hearing the other man excited about waiting for the millionaire. "Gorgeous, come over, the party is waiting for us." Tony said placing his hand on the back of the female and indicated her to follow him. As doing, Castiel just nodded and turned their head back for a moment seeing the elevator shut their doors.

Castiel knew that the weather was freezing cold and Tony was still in the hotel room, the five minutes had passed to ten, then to twenty, Castiel couldn't take it anymore and decided to go to the rooftop instead.

And there he was, Aldrich Killian, just the name they had heard back in the elevator, looking at their watch and shivering from the cold weather.

"He isn't coming you know." Castiel screamed catching the attention of the male "He lied to you." the voice was so serious it seemed like they were mad.

"Who are you?" Aldrich said as he walked over to them, his leg limping putting effort with his cane helping him balance his body.

"My name is Castiel, I look after Tony and every decision he makes, I try to protect him, but right now, he had just put you in danger by waiting here." the words were heartless, no emotion was shown by them as they walked closer to the other man.

"Here, take my jacket, you must be freezing." He said and did as he told, the brown blazer was placed around the vessel, the body was cold but Castiel didn't feel the need to have it.

"So, Tony lied? Was he interested in my work at some point?" Aldrich asked in disbelief and looked at the female who shook their head. "Well that's something." He said and sighed deeply. His eyes lost all hope and it was filled by some sort of anger. "Well, I got an idea, I will make my work reach big expectations, I want people to become stronger, better." Killian said as he limped around Castiel.

"How can you make that happen?" they questioned the male, how could someone make another person stronger or better.

"I will figure that out, but I will not need the help of Stark, they will become an obstacle in my process, I will become better than Tony Stark. He will end up begging for my help, I will reject him and leave him waiting, just like he to me now."

Castiel became scared and somehow intrigued by what Aldrich Killian had in mind. Had he created a monster right now? Castiel just came here for two things, make sure he was alright and the second, to be honest. But being honest could've put Tony Stark in a sort of danger?

"Well Castiel, I hope we can meet again, or you know what," Killian stood in front of them with hopeful eyes "join me, help me, I don't know what you can do, but I can make you work, I can make you stronger and better, if you need it, of course."

"I must reject this offer Killian, I am not someone who needs help, I am not even human, I am an angel of the lord, if you do believe and have faith you probably will believe me." Castiel introduced themselves to Killian again but this time mentioning their true self.

"Well Castiel, by you being an angel, you will be a great help, protecting those who need it, Tony doesn't need you, he has his money and bodyguard," Killian had spoken the truth in some sort of way "us, me, we need the protection that we can't afford, the people deserve to have angels in earth to protect them. That is what I want to do." Aldrich added, hoping to change the mind of Castiel.

"Forgive me Killian, that is not going to happen, but if we meet again, I wish you the best." Castiel said nothing else and disappeared from the roof, coming back to the hotel hallway, the same floor were Tony had stayed.

"Aldrich Killian, don't do anything you will end up regretting." Castiel said to themselves as they looked up to the roof.
