Melomine: To The Moon And Back

This is a thank you to cumfulvaginacupcake  for being my friend and cheering me up when I needed her to. And for always making me laugh with her unique sense of humor. You're awesome dude!

Onwards!

Melody looks over to her wife who was currently chasing a crab, asking if it'd like to be her sacrifice to the almighty ruler of Hell. This brings a chuckle from her dry lips before she moistens them with her pink lemonade that she ordered from the juice bar behind her.

The black haired woman was sitting on her Attack On Titan beach towel reading silently. What was she reading you ask? Only her favorite book; The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. She takes out a bookmark and marks her page before closing the book as her wife approaches. Jasmine was, is, a beautiful woman with dark brown hair, short bangs that fell above her eyes gently, her eyelashes fluttering against it every time she blinked. Her eyes could never decide if they were green, blue, or grey so she would just call them what they were in that moment. Green. No, blue. Wait, grey. See?

"Any luck?" Melody asks Jasmine in good humor. A fake pout plays at the younger woman's lips as she plops down across from Melody, crossing her legs in front of her.

"No, apparently no animal wants to be sacrificed in the name of Satan." Melody smiles widely, shaking her head fondly. "And then there was no satanic nun raping a priest at our wedding." Jasmine complains further. Melody cracks up at the memory of the episode in which that happened. It was of their favorite show; American Horror Story.

"On the bright side, we got to scare Carmen." Carmen was their good friend and practically Melody's sister. They had a gothic themed wedding in a cemetery at night. Most family members and friends were hesitant on going, especially their friend Carmen that was scared of everything even though looking at her you'd think the opposite. She had the appearance of a tiger and the heart of a kitten. It was funny.

Both women grin wickedly as Melody pulls her phone out so they could watch the video again. Jasmine crawls forward to sit beside Melody, leaning her chin on her shoulder as she peaks at the screen. Pressing play, the video shows them sneaking up on the older brunette as she gets a second slice of cake, Melody being the one recording while Jasmine sneaks up behind the inch shorter woman.

"GIVE-ME-YOUR-SOUL!!!" The Jasmine in the video screams quickly and Carmen lets loose a loud shriek, startling some of the other guests. When she's done screeching like a howler monkey, she rests her hands on her chest as it heaves up and down with her rapid heart beat. Brown eyes turn to glare at the other brunette.

"Jasmine, you son of a bitch! I almost pissed myself!" Then she hears Melody's muffled laughter and turns to see the phone that was recording her. "Melody!" The grown woman whines childishly. "You guys are so mean! You better not put that on YouTube." Carmen says, walking over to take the phone and delete the video and it ends there. By the end of the video, both girls are laughing their asses off.

"Her face was pure gold!" Jasmine laughs loudly. Melody nods, going to start the video over again but Jasmine stops her and pushes her hand down, leaning over to kiss her wife's left cheek. Melody curses having pale cheeks because her blush stands out that much more. "I think I'd rather repeat what we did for our honeymoon last night." Jasmine whispers. Melody smiles softly, the blush getting darker.

"You Australians really do like to go down under a lot, huh?" The Canadian asks, altering a joke Carmen once said. Jasmine merely shrugs before speaking her retort.

"It's not my fault my wife is so cute." Melody rolls her dark blue eyes, getting up and taking her lemonade with her as she waits for Jasmine to stand up as well. The Australian woman stands up next, folding the rack towel before holding it against her right hip with her right hand, her left offering Melody a place to hold. The black haired woman intertwined her right hand with Jasmine's left, the two walking in the wet sand as the waves of the beach they're on flows over they're sandled toes.

The two eighteen year olds walk in a comfortable silence, the moon causing they're wedding rings to glint from the light. A gold crescent moon with 'To The Moon' written in cursive inside of it could be seen on Jasmine's right ankle, a matching silver crescent moon on Melody's left ankle except the words written in cursive said; 'and back'. This one could also be seen because Melody wore shorts with a black and red checkered flannel shirt tied around them. They planned to get more in the near future.

"Hey, Mel?" Jasmine asks suddenly. The shorter girl looks over to her. Humming to show she heard. "I'm happy to be Mrs Armstrong." She says honestly. Melody smiles serenely, her heart warming with happiness.

"I'm happy to have you as Mrs Armstrong." She replies softly. She notices that Jasmine is looking at her weirdly. "What is it?" Jasmine smiles, walking forward and hugging her wife.

"My life was shit until I met you. I'm never going to let you go," She whispers, placing a soft kiss to Melody's left temple. She then grabs the cup of pink lemonade and taking a sip from it.

"Not even to sacrifice me?" The older girl by a few months asks teasingly. Jasmine pauses, seemingly thinking it over.

"Nah, you're the only person I wouldn't kill." The two girls laugh slightly before continuing their stroll on the beach. "I love you to the moon and back."

I wish you'd believe when I say you could never be a pest

You shake you head and cannot hear my words

I'll show you what's my memory in this treasure chest

The bluejay has always been one of your favourite birds

But when I kiss you soft

Your eyes are unclosed and bright

They're towards the moon, aloft

Your face shines with tears thrown to the light

I'll share what I know with you

We can dance all the way there and back again

And you'll be there for me too

Let's be hand in hand as we ascend

Towards the moon

We shan't come back without our tune
