Chapter twenty-one: A Midnight Stroll and Reflections

Oak couldn't sleep. The air was too stuffy, and the ground was too hard. She tossed and turned, her mind racing with thoughts of the journey ahead and the mysteries surrounding the Tear of Luna. She wished she could just close her eyes and drift off, but it was no use. Finally, she gave up on sleep and decided to go for a walk. The stars twinkled overhead, casting a soft, ethereal glow over the landscape. The distant howl of a wolf echoed through. the night The night made the sky above her heart her race.
The night sky was a swirling mass of stars, too bright to make out any constellations. She tossed and turned, the hard ground digging into her back. She glanced over at Caspian, who was sleeping soundly beside her. His chest rose and fell rhythmically with each breath, and his light hair mussed from where he'd been tossing and turning. She sighed, trying to ignore the ache in her body and focus on something else.

"How can he sleep like this? The ground is hard as a rock," she thought to herself as she glanced over at Caspian. She sat up, stretching her arms above her head and letting out a soft groan. The air was still stuffy, but at least it wasn't as uncomfortable as before. She took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of pine and damp earth. It was oddly comforting, somehow.

She looked around to see a far-open grassy plain before her. The grass was tall and waving gently in the night breeze. In the distance, she could see the outline of trees surrounding a small pond. The stars above were so bright that it almost hurt to look at them. She couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder wash over her as she took in the beauty of the night.

"How can Caspian be missing this? same with Aurora and Soren?" She thought to herself, If only she could walk towards the pond and dip her feet in, she couldn't leave the three younger wolves to fend for themselves; they have no knowledge to fight or defend themselves.

as the shadows dance beneath the moonlight. Her hair flows behind her like a black ribbon, and her movements are graceful and fluid. Oak can't help but envy the three young Wolves's youth and enchantment with the world around them. She wonders if she'll ever be able to experience that again, if the weight of the world and the guilt of Phoenix's death will ever allow her to feel truly free.

The gentle breeze caresses her face, and the cold air makes her shiver slightly. She closes her eyes, taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly. The scent of the grass, the earth, and the pond all mingle together, creating a rich tapestry of aromas that she's not truly noticed before. She opens her eyes, looking up at the stars once more, feeling a sense of awe and wonder wash over her. In that moment, she realizes that she can't keep living in the past, dwelling on the things she can't change. She has to find a way to move forward, to find peace for herself and for her family.
