"So, who's going? Only three can go," Cedar asked, looking at each of the pack members in turn. The group exchanged glances, each wolf considering their strengths and weaknesses and their bonds with one another. Finally, Aurora stepped forward. "I'll go," she said firmly. "I have the most experience with the sacred lands." Soren nodded in agreement, his eyes gleaming with respect.

"I'll join her," Soren volunteered, stepping forward. "I have knowledge of the old texts that might prove useful." Cedar looked at the pair, nodding in agreement. "You two will make a formidable team. I trust you both."

Caspian stepped forward, his amber eyes burning with determination. "I'm with you, Alpha. I'll protect our pack and make sure we succeed." Aurora nodded, a smile touching her lips. "Very well, then. We leave at first light. Let's make haste to prepare." With that, the trio dispersed, each focusing on what they could contribute to the quest.

"Do we need flashlights? What about trail mix? mom's homemade?' Soren suggested as they packed the night before their quest. Aurora nodded, glancing over at him with amusement. "We should probably bring some provisions, just in case. But I think we'll be able to find our way without a flashlight. The moon will be bright enough." Caspian shrugged his shoulders, crossing his arms over his chest. "I guess we can take them just in case. You never know what we might run into out there."

Caspian does have a point, because they are only young wolves themselves and have little to no knowledge of protecting themselves from anything that might be out there in the wild. So they all decided to take Oak with them, just in case. They spent the rest of the night making sure they had everything they needed for their journey. As the first light of dawn broke through the horizon, the three of them gathered at the entrance of the sanctuary, their hearts pounding with anticipation and fear. Aurora took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come, before leading the way out into the unknown.
