Welcome back to another chapter of the ten top list from Cartoonprincess15! Today may not be Halloween but we must make this list. This is one of our favorites! You're here reading the top ten horror movies. For this list, we're looking back at the movies that will spread shivers down your spine. NUMBER 10:
"Carrie"
2013

Kicking off our list with one of the popular horror movies of all time. Though there were many Carrie movies back in 1976 or 1991, this 2013 movie gave shivers to everyone. This is based on a true story of a girl name Carrie White who was very strange towards the other teens. They teased her, make funny jokes, and make her life miserable. But it wasn't only the teens, it was also her mother, Margaret White. When she gave birth to Carrie, she intended it was God's punishment for her sins and wanted to kill her. Luckily she didn't when she saw the baby was harmless and killing another life force would be another sin. Meanwhile in school, the girls were taking showers for their PE class and Carrie had her first period there. She panicked thinking she was dying and begged for help, but all the girls did was throw tampons at her and made a video putting it online. But after being locked in a closet, Carrie discovers she has some kind of special abilities to make things move. Her mother finds it as the devil's in her own daughter and began to think of killing her. When Carrie was at the prom with Sue Snell's boyfriend, Tommy Ross (Because Sue wanted to make it up to Carrie for embarrassing her), some teens played a prank and poured pig blood all over her. She went insane and used her powers to kill the entire school, causing fire to rise, students running over others, and became a monster. Upset returning home, her mother awaited her and decided to trick her and stab her back. Carrie was able to kill her mother first before her, but regretted it very fast. Soon, their home was torn down and disappear with them inside and only Sue Snell was the one who felt worst for Carrie.

NUMBER 9:
"Paranormal Entity"
2009

Just like the famous "Paranormal Activity" movies, this movie is a different and terrifying version of it. This is a story about a boy name Thomas living with his mother and his sister, Samantha. In the beginning of the movie, we hear cries of the boy saying his sister is dead to the police and they arrested him. But then it started off with the family eating together and how the mother says her husband had passed away and that strange things that have happened with the house. On footage at night, there are scenes were it shows the mother possess walking out of bed to write something, or in Samantha's room where the demon takes off her blanket to do some sexual things towards her. It's more attach to her than anyone. But one night, when it was getting worse, the mother was possess once again and cuts her wrists causing her son to panic and send her to the hospital. The psychic they've been trying to contact finally came to solve their problem; he failed. He was dead on the floor where the camera was and Samantha was screaming as she was being raped by the demon. Thomas tries to save her but sees he's too late and the police had arrived to arrest him. His mother was the only one alive when everyone else was gone...

NUMBER 8:
"Insidious"
2010

This was a very popular movie as it went along the process of making more chapters of this story. This is another supernatural movie but with no cameras to watch at night. Instead, in this movie, it's about a family who moved into a strange house and one of the little boys got into an accident that sent him into a coma. Every since he had this, strange things has happened in the house hold. They tried everything they could to protect their son but the scratch marks on his skin and the creepy objects moving showed it was getting worse. The father's mother came up admitting there was a strange being in his life when he was a child and had photos of his childhood. In each picture he's in, there was always a strange lady in the backround, very dark and a bit scary. They call psychic, Elise, to help them get their son back. She said the only way for him to be out was to go what she called "The Further" (where all spirits are when they're lost kinda). The father took the opportunity to leave his body and find his son before it was too late. He made it pass many scary spirits and found his son chained in a red room with a demon watching them. They had to run through the further to reach their bodies before others did. They made it inside alive. Elise was just about to leave, when she felt something strange about the father, something bad. She took a picture and gasped. Because of this, he grabbed her by the throat to kill her. Soon the wife discovered the photo, seeing what Elise took a picture. It seemed the father never made it to his body. It was a strange lady in a black dress. This movie showed a lot of scary elements and made everyone scared to look outside their doors.

NUMBER 7:
"Devil"
2010

This is another supernatural movie but didn't have it at night or many cameras. This movie is about five people who have done something bad be stuck in a elevator for a long time. Obviously they couldn't handle it. Soon, once the lights were out in the elevator, a lady was scratch on her back and a murder came a foot in that elevator. The security men call police and detective Bowden to investigate and get them out of the elevator. They think it was one of the people, but on security man saw it was something more evil trying to get them all and it was in one of the people in that elevator. They did everything they could to find information on them. The most they found was that one lady was married into the Caraway family and black mailed them, the security guard had a bad record on violence, and the old lady had stolen a few things. After two people were left and it was the man who accidentally killed the detective's wife and son a few years ago, they discovered the old lady was the devil and she took each soul for their sin and was looking forward to take his. Unfortunately, because the detective knew it was an accident, the guy's life wasn't taken. They got the elevator to open but the old lady was gone. Once he was arrested and the detective took him away, he knew it takes a strong man to say this, "I forgive you".

NUMBER 6:
"8213: Gacy House"
2010

Another horror story with scary spirits. This was based on a true story and the actual home of John Wayne Gacy Junior, a murder and molester over young boys. It's starts off with people as a investigation group and they're gonna investigate the hauntings of the home. This was more of a footage movie with PA. The haunting was barley seen until a girl was scratched on her back. She left the house to stay hidden in the van safe. The others were still investigating. They were looking in the old crawl space Gacy had to hide bodies and it only was growing worse. Everyone began to die in a terrible way. The psychic was murder without her shirt on, a man very young (not under age of 20) was taken down in the crawl space without his pants, and everyone was gone by morning. The police found their footage and them but couldn't seem to find the missing trace of the girl who was scratch. She was taken away during the investigation, but they never found her. This only showed people not to go into haunting houses and to not record ghosts or evil spirits or else.

NUMBER 5:
"Halloween"
2008

Another popular true story base on horror and scary elements. There were many movies back in the day but this one was number one for everyone. This shows the life of Michael Myers at a young age. The movie starts off with his mother, horrible stepfather/rent owner, slutty big sister, and little baby sister. All his life, Michael wore and made masks of his own to hide his face. Everyone called him weird for that, especially for how long his hair was and looked like a girl. He one day was bullied in the bathroom and decided to kill the main bully in the woods with his clown mask on. It was the night of Halloween and his mother had to go work. His big sister was suppose to take him, but she wanted to have "tickle time" with one of her boyfriends. Michael was by himself, depress, very sad. He then went insane and slice his stepfather by the throat, and killed his big sister and her boyfriend but wore a different mask. Seemed the boyfriend was wearing the mask that started Michael Myers's name. The only remain alive in the house was his baby sister as he loved her. The police came and took his to a mental institution hoping to help him. He made masks there but was also getting more and more upset and angry. He wanted out of there but could never leave. His mother would visit but her last time visit, she saw her son was gone when he killed a nurse with a fork. That night, his mother committed suicide and Michael's baby sister was taken to a new family for no one could watch her. A few years later, after being stuck in that mental hospital, Michael breaks out to find his little sister as he knows she's alive. No one told her she was adopted or that her old family was insane and grew up to be a beautiful teenage girl with a beautiful heart. Once the night of another Halloween came, Michael murders a few people, but not the young children he runs into. Once he found his sister as she was in fear with mask and killings, he shows the picture his mother gave him before she died. The young girl still didn't know him and ran away as the doctor who helped Michael come and saved her and killed Michael. They thought he was finally gone and explained everything to the girl, but they don't realize nothing can kill Michael Myers.

NUMBER 4:
"Jennifer's body"
2009

This is a very popular movie with supernatural beings inside a teenage girl after being taken by a famous rock band. The movie starts off the girl's best friend, Needy, in a mental institution and had a flashback of her past with her best friend and boyfriend. They were both average teenage girls, both very beautiful. The two girls went to go visit the famous boy band, Low Shoulder, at a bar that lived near by. Suddenly a fire came upon burning the place and people. Luckily the two girls made it out alive and the leader of the band offer them a ride. Needy refused but Jennifer wanted to go. Once Needy had return home scared and called her boyfriend Chip, she found Jennifer in her home covered in blood and spitting out disgusting tar. The next morning at school, she looked normal. During school grounds, a jock who lost his best friend in the fire, was under Jennifer's spell with sexual thoughts but was eaten by her sharp teeth marks. The school found his body torn up in the forest and this murder went on for such a long time. No one knew who was behind this. Needy then discovered her best friend was a sacrifice virgin, but Jennifer was never a virgin; she had some tickle time in junior high. So because this backed fire, Jennifer had an evil spirit in her soul wanting to eat men and into a killing taste of flesh. Once prom night came, Jennifer got a hold of Needy's boyfriend and was eating him at an abandoned pool. Needy stopped Jennifer in time but lost her one and only love. Because of this, she went to go and murder Jennifer for this. She was bitten and saw nothing could kill her. But once she took off Jennifer's necklace, finally the beautiful teenage girl, was gone. This murder caused Needy to go to the mental institution. Looking back at that flashback made her go into the break out zone and murder Low Shoulder herself.

NUMBER 3:
"Prom Night"
2008

Another popular true story with no evil spirits. This movie was remade by the 1900's version with Brittany Snow. This was a story about a girl name Donna who lost her family because of her scientist teacher being insane and in love with her. She came home from the movie night with her friend and watched her mother being murder. The cops caught him and let her stay with her aunt and uncle. A few years later, it was Donna's prom night as a senior and her friends and boyfriend were all going together. They went to a fantastic hotel with amazing music and dance floor from a snobby girl at her school. What she didn't know until it was too late, that the science teacher was back and looked for her. He goes into the breed of killing others during the prom to get to her. He killed a maid and worker, and her friends Claire, Michael, and Lisa. Right when the detective who helped discovered he was out, they went to the aunt and uncle to earn them. Then the announcement for king and queen came but was interrogated by another detective telling them to get out. Before Donna could leave, she had to get her scarf of her mother and discovers the psycho was put as he watched her in horror. She made it out alive and went home with her boyfriend crying in tears as she found Claire was dead. Once her home was secured with security and she went to the bathroom, she discovers her boyfriend was slice in the throat and hid in the closet seeing the man come for her. Once she saw it wasn't him and someone else, the teacher silenced her and was gonna take her away. But in time, the detective shot him down and stopped the mad man from going any further. Finally Donna's nightmare was over...

NUMBER 2:
"The Ouija experiment"
2011

Another story of horror and spirits, also a documentary of a true story in Dallas Texas. This story is about a group of adults trying an Ouija board to make a guy from New York's YouTube channel become famous. They were able to make it work and were talking to a little girl, her mother, and another man name Joseph. They always reminded each other to say goodbye before they leave but because of a argument between a girl finding out her boyfriend cheats on her, they forgot to say goodbye and caused more spirits to be free. The haunting goes on and the boy who cheated took the board not believing the board told his ex this. He then was murder by a spirit and killed his ex as she came by to apologize. Soon when the man of his own home found some documents of the people in his own house before him, he discovered what was happening. A mother who lived with her daughter was single but was dating a man who had he hopes a little too up. The daughter wanted her adult friend Joseph to come, but her mother refuses and thinks he's retarded. Joseph was in a state of special Ed of Autism but was never a child molestor. He was a child in his brain. Soon the mother's boyfriend called to breakup with her and the mother blamed her own daughter. Then she drowned her little girl in the bath tub. Joseph came by to see the little girl but saw she was dead and that her mother did it. Before he could escape the home, the mother killed him and committed suicide to herself. By then the haunting became worse and they discovered they had to burn the Ouija board. Once it was burned, the man who owned that house now found himself seeing the girl and Joseph smiling. He discovers why he could only see them. He was dead too...

"Stay Alive"
2006

This is a little unknown but also a very amazing movie. This movie is about a video game based on the Gerouge plantation of countess Elizabeth Bathroy, an old woman back in the 1500s who murder women for their blood. A group of friends play this game call stay alive to play for the death of a friend who had this game. Eventually, they each discover that if you die in the game, you die in real life with no proof who did it. Some were hanged, some were slice in the throat and lost blood. This was a curse of Elizabeth of being back and the group of teammates had to find a way to take her down for good. Once they did, they finally found a way to in curse the game and made it into a popular game. Though this game is still a nightmare for those who witness their friends to be killed.
