Chapter 1 - The Life of Y/n L/n...

Note: I don't know what the official names of Luna's adoptive parents are, so I have to make up some names in order to make this work.

Location: The L/n Residence - Uptown Creation City

-5 Years Later-

It's been five years since Y/n was adopted into the L/n family and it didn't start off well once Y/n grew older, but his parents still love and card about him no matter how much Y/n had to deal with from the other kids that called him a freak when he looked different than a normal human being when D/n and M/n tried taking him to the park to go play and make friends.

They had to teach Y/n to look more human and not look like a freak due to his catlike features and his strange powers of cartoon physics, which didn't take too long for Y/n to learn how to look more human to blend in with the people around him. But what's even strange is that Y/n has instantly became an expert in many things such as singing, playing various instruments like the piano or the violin, dancing and even drawing and painting at the age of 3, which really surprised his own parents on their son's incredible talents.

As for school, M/n decided to homeschool Y/n since she was afraid of letting Y/n attend any school because of what the teacher's reactions would be like if they saw Y/n or how the kids would treat him in the classroom, which Y/n didn't mind at all as Y/n is a fast learner and a good listener to be taught by his own mother for her son's safety from the people around him.

However, due to how people began treating Y/n like an outcast for looking different, he soon became an introvert and always stayed in his room with the lights off and only came out for home-school and to eat dinner, which worried his parents even more as M/n decided to bring in some take out and let Y/n eat in his room after another bad day at the park from the other kids picking on and making fun of him.

Then as she knocked on the door to Y/n's room, she slowly opened the door to see the lights turned off and saw her son laying in his bed with the sheets covering him from head to toe before his mother quietly told him that she brought him some food for him to eat as Y/n slowly got out of the covers and she can see two glowing white cartoonish eyes in the darkness before hearing the sound of a flute playing in the background as it's one of the things that Y/n usually does when he is not in his human form as we see Y/n as a completely different person or in this case as a cartoonish cat that resembled Felix the cat from the old timey cartoons that his parents seen on TV when they were kids back then.

M/n: Are you feeling okay, sweetie~

Y/n: Mother....why do people hate me so much? Am I ugly?

M/n: Of course not, sweetheart. You're not ugly, you're just different that's all. We got you some McDonald's to eat because I know you're probably hungry after being in that dark room for a while.

Y/n: Thanks mom.

M/n: You're welcome, sweetheart. I know you had a rough day, but maybe someday you'll eventually make some friends that will like you the way you are.

Y/n: Are you sure?

M/n: Of course, honey. You may be different from the others, but you're still our son and we love you very much.

Y/n: I love you too, mother.

M/n: That's great. Now why don't you eat your Happy Meal in your room and watch some cartoons. That might make you feel better.

Y/n: Okay, mother.

So, she gave Y/n his McDonald's Happy Meal and left Y/n in his room to watch some cartoon that are from the early 1900s as it's one of those types of cartoons that Y/n enjoys watching and the many things to calm him down from all of the bad things that happen to him from the outside world.

Y/n: Why am I so different?

With Y/n's Parents...

M/n: Honey, I'm worried about our son.

D/n: Me too, honey. I knew taking him to the park again was a bad idea and I still can't believe that those kids had to assault our son like that, just for being different.

M/n: I know, but our son needs someone to talk and play with and all he does is stay in his room all day with the lights off.

D/n: Yeah, I never seen our son so unhappy like this before. We need to do something, or our son will end up as a total recluse if we don't find someone that would be happy to be friends with our son.

M/n: Well, I heard that a new family is moving in the neighborhood, and they have a daughter, so she might be the perfect candidate to be friends with Y/n.

D/n: We'll see about that, honey, but let's hope that she'll be friends with our own son, otherwise, we'll probably have to move somewhere else to start our lives over if this doesn't work out for our son.

M/n: Well as soon as the family moves in, we'll welcome them to the neighborhood and introduce them to our son. I'm sure everything will be just fine.

D/n: I suppose so.

-A Few Weeks Later-

After a few weeks, the new neighbors finally moved into the neighborhood, and it was M/n and D/n chance to welcome them to the neighborhood as they brought Y/n over to meet the new neighbors with a wonderful gift basket like a couple of good neighbors would do to welcome the new neighbors in their neighborhood.

(Doorbell Rings)

Y/n: Are you sure you want me to come with you to meet the new neighbors? What if they get scared of me for what I am?

M/n: Don't worry about it, sweetheart. I'm sure they won't be afraid of you once they get to know you better.

D/n: Well, let's hope they'll won't be like the other neighbors that treated you horribly, son. So I suggest you be on your best behavior and don't lose your cool, understand?

Y/n: Yes, father.

D/n: Great.

Then after a few moments, the new neighbors opened the door to meet Y/n and his parents with their daughter right behind her as she looked at Y/n with curiosity as the book looked away in shame, knowing that she might make fun of him or be afraid of him.

Henry: Hello there. Can I help you with something?

D/n: Oh, we just want to welcome you to the neighborhood. My name's D/n and this my wife, M/n and my son, Y/n.

M/n: We brought you a gift basket as our way of welcoming you as our new neighbors.

Henry: Thank you. Nice to meet you all. My name's Henry and this is my wife, Stacy and our daughter, Luna.

D/n: Pleasure to meet you, Henry. Don't mind about our son, Y/n. He's a good boy, but he doesn't have much friends in the neighborhood. They always make fun of him because of his appearance.

Stacy: We understand. Luna doesn't have much friends either ever since her parents died recently.

M/n: Oh that's terrible. We're very sorry to hear that.

Henry: It's all good.

D/n: Say why do we invite you and your family over for dinner at our place. It will be great way for all of us to know each other better.

Henry: That sounds like a great idea. What do you think, Stacy?

Stacy: I would love that.

M/n: Great. How does tomorrow night at 6 PM sound?

Henry: Sounds good to me.

D/n: Excellent. We'll see you all tomorrow at 6 PM then.

Henry: Alright then, see you all tomorrow at 6 PM.

D/n: Ok then. Good to meet all of you.

So then, the L/n's invited the new neighbors over to dinner at their house tomorrow at 6 PM as a way to know more about each other and it seems like their adopted daughter, Luna seems to have the same kind of problem that Y/n's dealing with.

Could this be the start of them becoming friends for the very first time?

Well there's only one way to find out when Luna and her surrogate parents come over for dinner at Y/n's house to get to know each other better. Hopefully Luna won't be frightened by Y/n once she learns about Y/n's dark secret and doesn't call Y/n a monster or a freak that will ruin Y/n's reputation forever.
