ROYALTY AU

Kyle Springfield is a prince. He's now 17 years old, and must wed to be the next heir to the throne. He's not very happy about it - considering he prefers to be alone. So, now his parents, the king and queen, are requiring him to attend other kingdom's balls to find a new wife.
Kyle was preparing himself to attend yet another ball. He was informed that there will be plenty of young and beautiful princesses there to talk with, and he'll certainly find someone at this ball. He was not excited. There was also the problem that he was not sexually or romantically attracted to women; he wanted to marry a man. His parents didn't know this, as they'd probably disown him.
Kyle slipped on a green and gold suit. The jacket was a beautiful emerald green with gold accents, and his pants matched the green in the jacket. He put on a gold tie to match the accents. He stared himself in the mirror as he fixed his hair, sighing to himself. 'I'm not going to find anybody here,' he thought, brushing back his hair so it was in his eyes constantly throughout the night. He put on some brown dress shoes that complimented the suit and sat on his bed until he was summoned.
A few minutes later, the queen knocked on his door. "Kyle! It's time to go!" She called out. He sighed once again and got up, walking towards the door. Before he opened it, he glanced into the nearest mirror, decided he looked good enough, then stepped out.
"Ah, Kyle, you look wonderful. You'll be sure to catch all the ladies' eyes," the queen smiled. He forced a smile and nodded.
"Thanks," he said quietly and walked past her to the carriage they would be riding in.
Pulled by beautiful white horses, the king, the queen, and Prince Kyle were on their way to the next kingdom for the ball. When they arrived, Kyle stepped out and observed his surroundings, specifically the castle. He watched as other royalty entered the castle - princes, princesses, and other kings and queens all waltzed their way in.
Kyle walked in with his parents, looking around at all the elegant suits and dresses. A few women glanced at him and smiled in a friendly manner. He certainly didn't think we was attractive enough for them to find him handsome, so he moved on. His parents led him to the queen and king of the kingdom they were in.
"Kyle, this is King and Queen Madden," his mother introduced.
"Nice to meet you," Kyle greeted quietly with a forced smile.
"Ah, so nice to meet you. I'm sure you'll meet some wonderful girls here," King Madden said, returning the smile. "Now honey, do you know where Carter went?" He asked his wife.
Queen Madden shook her head. "He always runs off at these things," she sighed, then turned to Kyle. "You'll be able to meet him later. I'm sure you boys will become good friends."
Kyle internally groaned at the thought of having to make friends here as well. He nodded and smiled, then excused himself to the food table. He looked around and saw it was mostly seafood. He picked around the table until he found some cheese cubes. He shrugged and put some on a ridiculously tiny plate, then walked around.
A Young girl with blonde hair and blue eyes approached him. She was wearing a royal blue ballgown. "Hi," she greeted sweetly.
"Hey," Kyle replied, taking a bite of cheese. He realized he should be more polite. "How're you?" He followed up.
"I'm good," she smiled. "I'm Elaina. Would you like to dance?" She asked.
Kyle looked around and saw that everyone else was dancing. "Sure," he smiled, then led her to the dance floor. He was not happy about this; he hated dancing. He took her hand and placed one arm on her waist as they waltzed together. She kept smiling up at him, giggling, and making flirty remarks. He wanted to gag.
Once the song was finished, he excused himself. He wandered around until he found the garden. He admired the flowers and trees until he saw the back of someone's head. It looked like a tall, dark-haired boy around his age, from what he could tell. The boy was aiming a bow and arrow at a target, then shot it. It hit the center with perfect precision. Kyle was impressed, and wanted to know who the mystery man was. Instead, he stood in his place, awkward and seemingly small. The man turned around then jumped.
"Sorry, you startled me," the man smiled. He took a moment to eye Kyle up and down, which Kyle certainly didn't ignore. Kyle also stared back at the man; he was absolutely gorgeous. He had black hair, striking blue eyes, and wore an all black suit. He was obviously muscular under his suit, and he could see a tattoo peeking out from under his sleeve.
Kyle stuttered a bit, "uh, hi. Sorry to bother you." The man waved him off.
"Don't worry 'bout it," he grinned. "I'm Carter," he introduced himself. Kyle's eyes widened.
"Madden?" Kyle questioned, fidgeting with his fingers.
"How'd you know?" Carter raised an eyebrow.
"Uh, I was introduced to your parents...they asked where you were..."
"Ah, I see," he mumbled, glancing up at Kyle. His lips slowly turned into a smirk. "You are quite handsome," he said.
Kyle was taken aback. A beautiful man complimented him? "I uh," he stumbled, "thank you..."
"So what's a handsome man like you doing all alone?" Carter set down his bow and walked over to Kyle.
"Um, I needed to get away from the crowd," Kyle mumbled, refusing to make eye contact.
Carter slowly lifted Kyle's chin up. "Don't be shy, babe," he grinned. Kyle's cheeks flushed a deep red.
"Don't call me that," Kyle muttered. "I don't even know you."
"But you can get to know me," Carter said, letting go of Kyle's chin. Kyle looked away immediately, fidgeting with his fingers in front of him.
"I mean..." Kyle began, "I guess I wouldn't mind."
Carter smiled down at him. "Cool. So what's your name, beautiful?" He asked.
Kyle looked away, trying to hide the blush on his cheeks. "Kyle.." he muttered, "Springfield."
"I like it. Suits you," Carter lifted Kyle's hand and placed a gentle kiss to the back of it.
Kyle pulled his hand away without thinking, then saw the look of disappointment that Carter wore immediately after. "Sorry," Kyle muttered quietly, "just not used to...that..."
Carter grabbed Kyle's hand and pulled him to his chest, then wrapped an arm around his waist, positioning them as if they were about to waltz. Kyle looked anywhere but into the other prince's eyes.
"What are you doing?" Kyle whispered, looking off to the side.
"We should dance," Carter said, squeezing his hand. "I'll lead." Kyle then realized he could faintly hear the music playing from within the ballroom. He thought to himself, 'fuck it,' and decided to look at Carter.
"Sure," Kyle gave the tiniest smile. "I'm pretty bad at this, though," he chuckled quietly. Just at the sound of his laugh, Carter's cheeks heated up.
Carter began to lead the way in their dance, holding tightly onto Kyle's waist as Kyle's hand was on Carter's shoulder. "You're beautiful," Carter smiled at Kyle, causing the younger boy to blush.
"Shush," Kyle grumbled, looking away.
"But why? It's true. Most gorgeous boy I've ever seen," Carter continued on.
"I said shush," Kyle buried his face into Carter's chest. Carter chuckled and continued to lead until the song ended. Kyle looked up at Carter when they stopped, not moving his hand from the other's shoulder as their connected hands began lowering to their sides. Carter stared at Kyle, admiring everything about him.
"Can I Kiss you?" Carter asked suddenly, causing Kyle to stutter.
"W-what?" Kyle asked, his eyes going wide.
"I mean - never mind. Forget I asked," Carter began, trying to let go of Kyle's hand and step away.
"No, I mean," Kyle started to say, trying to find the right words, "I would like that."
Carter glanced at him, a small smirk forming on his lips. Kyle blushed at the other's expression. It showed a mix of confidence and dominance, and Kyle was all over it.
Carter grabbed Kyle's hand and pulled him in so he was flush against his chest, then kissed him deeply. Kyle kissed back, wrapping his arms around the older boy's neck.
They kissed for a few minutes, their lips moving in sync with one another. Carter bit down on Kyle's lip, causing him to gasp slightly. Carter slipped his tongue through the other's lips and explored what he could. Kyle only pulled Carter closer, allowing a small moan to escape his lips. Carter pulled away, smirking while catching his breath.
"Was that a moan?" He questioned, resting his hands on Kyle's hips. Kyle's cheeks flushed even darker.
"No..." he mumbled, trying to avoid eye contact.
"I think it was," Carter smirked, "Am I that irresistible?"
"Shut up," Kyle groaned, forcing his face into Carter's chest. Carter laughed a little bit, then leaned down and kissed the top of Kyle's head.
"You're Just cute, is all," Carter smiled down at him. Kyle shook his head in disagreement.
"There's plenty of much more attractive people out there," Kyle mumbled.
"I don't think so," Carter whispered, pulling Kyle's face from his chest. He rested his hands on Kyle's cheeks, rubbing them softly with his thumbs. "Most beautiful man I've ever seen."
Kyle smiled softly - a genuine smile - and looked up at Carter. He pulled the taller man down into another kiss, making himself as close to him as possible. Carter moved his hands from Kyle's cheeks to his waist, rubbing small circles into his hips. After a few seconds, they both pulled away and grinned at each other.
"We should probably head back..." Kyle said, looking around him and towards the entrance to the garden.
"Yeah, probably," Carter responded, then took Kyle's hand in his. Kyle's cheeks heated up again, then he dragged Carter back to the ballroom. They released each other's hands once they arrived.
"Before I disappear, can I get your number?" Kyle asked, scratching the back of his neck.
Carter smirked a bit. "Yeah, sure. Give me your phone." Kyle handed Carter his phone while Carter punched in his number. He handed the phone back after sending a quick text to his own phone. "Call me, babe," he winked at Kyle then walked off. Kyle sat there, his cheeks red and flush.
Kyle finally decided to head back to his parents, who questioned where he was. "Oh, just the garden," he responded, but he kept those memories in his mind.
Kyle and his parents eventually went home, and he sent Carter a text. He awaited a response, and soon his phone popped up with a message. He smiled to himself, and continued on a conversation with Carter til they both passed out from exhaustion.

Maybe part two??
