PETER PARKER AND BRUCE WAYNE WALKED SIDE BY SIDE. People giving them weird looks. Peter held his books closer to him,not liking the stares he was getting and the whispering about him. Bruce looked around,glaring at anyone who gave Peter that look.
Bruce turned to Peter,a smile on his face.
"They are just upset that I don't like them enough to be friends with them.''

Peter nodded,looking around as to find their third best friend. Peter was never one for people paying attention to him,he had hated attention. He tried to keep a low profile,even more since he was,in fact, spider-man. Which Bruce had no clue of. Only Ned and Tony Stark did.

But,neither friend was being completely honest,as Bruce has a secret of his own. He was the,as some people say, 'Batman' or they just say he isn't a superhero,that he is some annoying man trying to do something he couldn't.

Of course,neither of them knew about each other's secret. There was a selected few they had trusted enough to tell,or get caught to tell.
"Why couldn't we just have gotten a lift from Alfred?"

Bruce tensed at the question,he couldn't tell him the truth. What was he suppose to say? 'Oh yeah,he can't because yesterday I couldn't handle a few guys.'

Bruce shook his head,quickly coming up with an excuse.
"He said something like 'you need to learn a lesson' and after that I don't know what. I got distracted because Ned kept calling me over and over. Come to think of it,he still hasn't told me what it was that was so important that I am not waking to and from school."

Peter's eyes widen. No,Ned promised to keep it a secret. Even from Bruce,he wouldn't just tell him after finding out. Peter coughed,as if something was stuck in his throat. He opened his mouth to speak,but nothing came out. It was as if his voice was stuck in his throat.
"You know Ned...probably got some new legos....or something like that."

Bruce looked at Peter,seeing the movements he was making. Which had caused him to worry for him.
"You okay?"

Peter looked up,smiling widely as him. He couldn't be sure if Ned told Bruce. But by now Bruce would have said something,questioned him. So,Peter guessed he didn't know.
"I'm fine,you?"

Bruce smiles at him,hiding the guilt he felt for keeping a secret from his best friend.
"I'm fine."

The boy's continued to walk,soon finding the third member of their group,and continuing to walk. Bruce and Peter not noticing the look on each other's faces. But,Ned was in between the two,so he had noticed.
He knew Peter's secret,but he didn't know Bruce's. So,what the hell was wrong with Bruce?
