Chapter Two
Tw: language
Patton was bouncing as he waited at the school. He couldn't wait to meet the new kids, honestly. He was always happy to help, as was Emile, who stood by him. They were on the welcoming committee...well they were the welcoming committee.
"Do you think they'll be nice?" Patton asked excitedly as he watched Emile. He looked down as he played with his skirt. He was worried the new kids wouldn't like him at all. He had a tendency to run his mouth in the same way he ran around the house....which is a lot.
Emile chuckled. "I'm sure they will be," he said gently. "But, if not, then you know Roman will defend you. He always has." It was true. Patton was the sweet littlest brother. Roman protected all of them, even Logan, who he normally fought with.
Patton sighed. "I know....But I don't need him to and he knows that." He giggled and rolled his eyes. He went to speak again but he heard bark and frowned. "Uh....was that a dog, Emi?" He looked around and saw four people coming up to them. It was weird...the tallest one looked exactly like Roman. He would've thought it was him if the other didn't have a grey streak in his hair.
"Hey!" The red haired man called out. He saw the two that he knew were supposed to show the four of them around. He was in front, and him and his brothers were around Virgil and Dixie. She had been allowed at the school to help Virgil out.
Emile smiled and waved. "Hi!" He said happily. "You four must be the new students. Ah..." He frowned slightly. "You have a dog..?"
He nodded. "Virgil is deaf," Janus explained gently. "He got special permission to bring her." He was signing as he talked, knowing Virgil was watching him.
Patton was awestruck at the beautiful German Shepherd in front of him. "She's so pretty," he mumbled quietly. Virgil had seen and took Dixie over to Patton, letting him pet her. He smiled as he watched the innocent looking boy have just the biggest grin on his face he'd ever seen before.
Emile smiled as he watched. "I'm Emile Lions," he said gently. "This is my brother, Patton. We're here to welcome you here." He smiled a bit more as he gave them all a schedule and an agenda to keep with them, as well as their IDs.
Janus hummed. "I'm Janus Wolf," he chuckled. "And the one with the dog is Virgil."
The silvery haired man spoke up as he took off his sunglasses. "I'm Remy," he said, flashing them a charming smile. "My pleasure."
"I'm Remus," the last one said. Patton could tell he looked a lot like Roman...it was weird, and he could tell Emile was thinking the same thing.
Emile smiled at them. "Do you how do," he giggled. "Cmon. Let's show you around. Today we'll mostly be looking at lockers and getting everything set up." He led them all around as he showed them around.
Up until lunch, all they did was walk around and find their classes. Emile and Patton showed them around as best they could, then they went to the cafeteria for lunch.
"You can meet our brothers!" Patton said happily. He ran off and got in the line. Janus had Virgil sit down with Dixie and he and the others all got in the line as well.
A few minutes later, they all came back. Patton was bouncing in his seat as he waited on Logan and Roman. He knew Roman would find it odd that Remus looked like him.
Logan came up later on and sighed. He sat down next to Patton and Emile. "I'm assuming these are the new students?" He asked. "Nice to meet you all. I'm Logan, Emile and Patton's brother."
Remus chuckled. "You look like a nerd," he blurted out, both Janus and Remy smacking his arm. "I'm only telling the truth!"
Logan gave him a look. "I suppose in your tiny brain I am a 'nerd'. However, I would like to see you even solve something as simple as 2+2 without a calculator."
Patton went to scold him, but Remus burst out laughing. "I like him!" He chuckled softly. "Nice to see someone can actually take a joke, Logan. I'm Remus."
The other hummed and started eating as he heard Roman come up to them.
"You have been blessed with my beautiful presence!" Roman said in a sing-song voice. He paused as he saw Remus. "You fucker. You stole my look."
Remus gave him a confused look. "Uh, why would I wanna look like a pompous prince?"
"Remus," Janus sighed out in a warning. "I'm sorry about him. I always am. I'm Janus. You've met Remus. That's Virgil." He pointed to his brother, who was drawing in a nearly full sketch book. "He's deaf, so he has Dixie."
"I'm Remy," Remy chuckled.
Roman nodded some. "I am the beautiful Roman Lions," he stated as he sat down.
"Roman," Patton said. "Let's keep the peace, ok? Be nice with Remus, they're all new here. We wanna make a good impression, right?"
"Maybe you do," Roman mumbled as he started eating. "Is Pandora still coming over tonight? I know their dad is pretty strict nowadays..."
Patton shrugged. "Not sure...I think they wanted us all to hang out soon at the library but I think they're busy tonight though."
"Who's Pandora?" Remus asked as he ate his sandwich.
"A friend of ours," Roman explained. "They go here too, and they're kinda shy though. I'm not surprised they stayed away today, you might get to meet them tomorrow though."
Janus nodded as Virgil tugged on his sleeve. The two started signing to one another as Logan watched some. "The drinks are 25 cents," he told Janus.
He blinked. "How did you know what we were saying?"
Logan shrugged. "I speak many languages," he said. It wasn't a total lie...His bionics allowed him to watch or hear any language and interpret what they were saying. But those two didn't know about bionics.
Janus nodded slightly, getting a bit suspicious. Having someone who looked like Remus, then someone who spoke ASL? It was odd to him. But he knew he'd just have to watch them carefully from now on.
