Guys look!!!! This is by -NightEyes- its Pandora!!!
Omggggggg i love them so much! Thank you!!!!
Pandora bit their lip as they looked at the screen. What did he mean by that? Well, they knew what he meant.... They were just scared to admit it to themselves. The thought of him harming those women... Of taking their brothers.... It was scary to them. They hated it.
But they just sighed and put a smile back on as Roman and the new kid, Remus, seemed to be teaming up against Logan in an argument about dragons and unicorns. They were happy everyone was getting along, honestly. It would make getting them together to fight Caligula much easier.
"Dragons are real!" Remus said, making Logan groan. Remy was watching with amusement as Patton was trying to help make sure they all stayed quiet enough that the library wouldn't kick them out.
"Unicorns too," Roman agreed in a matter of fact type of tone. Pandora watched as Janus signed what was going on for Virgil, making sure he knew what everyone was saying. They winced as they remembered the story of what happened to Virgil when he was a baby.
"It was no big deal," Caligula said, waving Pandora off with a sigh. "He's mostly fine anyways."
"Wh-What happened to him?" They whispered softly. Pandora normally was too scared to ask. But since they were reading up on their brothers and everything, they felt it fitting to be able to ask questions. They were just praying they wouldn't be punished for it. Punishments from their dad really hurt sometimes.
Caligula sighed and looked up from his computer. "He was in the machine," he said. "I had ran him through to be able to have his bionics, like I did to you. However, the machine had malfunctioned since it had been used seven times in the past thirty minutes."
Pandora nodded some. "Oh..." They whispered quietly. "U-Uh... Was he ok? I'm g-guessing that's how he lo-ost his hearing?" They watched as Caligula got up and went to them. Pandora braced themselves to end up getting hit, but the blow never came.
He walked right past them and went to his machine, nodding slightly. "Yup," he hummed softly. "He came out and his ears were both bleeding fairly badly. I'm assuming his ear drums busted, but I would know for sure if Nyxie ever talked to me anymore."
It was eerie in Pandora's mind. He sounded so... nonchalant. Uncaring and hateful. As if Virgil's hearing was just a means to an end. But that wasn't new to them. That's how they'd been raised.
Pandora sighed as they tuned back in. They could tell Emile had been watching them as they'd zoned out, but they offered him a small smile. He needn't be worried. Not yet, at the very least. Pandora knew they couldn't know yet.
Remus huffed. "Ok," he said, looking at Logan. "If dragons aren't real, why do so many different cultures have them, huh? So many different places, all around the world, have some kind of dragons."
Before Logan could answer, Roman butted in. "And why would the national animal of Scotland be a unicorn?"
Logan hummed softly. "Well, some certain skeletons may have looked like dragons," he said. "Of old dinosaurs. And as for unicorns, perhaps they used to exist." He shrugged some. "And perhaps they still do. However they are not common whatsoever and there's no scientific evidence to prove them."
Roman rolled his eyes. "Can't you ever just have some faith, nerd?" He asked. "It's not that hard, yknow. Just act as if something is real and poof! It is!"
Logan smirked. "I've tried that before, yet I still haven't seen you have the common sense I believed you did."
Patton whined and looked up from his book. "Stop fighting," he pouted. "It's not funny anymore when it comes to being mean again."
Emile nodded. "All three of you need to calm down. Janus can't translate that fast, and both Patton and Pandora hate fighting. So shh."
The three nodded and went back to reading. Though, the silence only lasted around ten minutes. "I want a dragon," Remus said. "I will end up getting myself-"
"No you will not," Janus sighed softly. "No way will Mom let you get a pet dragon. She hates the only dragon you can get, which is a lizard. So no."
Pandora sighed as their phone went off again. It was just their dad saying they didn't have to distract the boys anymore. They sighed. They themselves were a means to an end. They wouldn't be needed after Caligula got the boys back.
They were running on borrowed time
