A FEW DAYS LATER, they had come across a railroad.
And that's where they were now, following the railroad seeing as it was a better way to find the group or even find a place to stay for a little while. After all, railroads go trough many towns that can have supplies and placed to lay low. Either way, if they were looking for members of their group or not, the railroad was there best chance.
"You think they traveled this way?" Sophia questioned, thinking of everyone of the group, even her mother who barely paid attention to her anymore. It was like her mother changed and couldn't stand to have a liability — a child — anymore.
Claire was the one who answered, "yes."
Everyone turned to her in question and stopped in their tracks once their eyes zeroed in on a sign posted near them. They all were too busy not paying attention to not see the sign. It was a good thing that Claire had.
It read: Sanctuary for all, Community for all, those who arrive survive.
"Huh." Isabelle clicked her tongue as she read the sign over and over again, her thoughts contradicting each other. She knew better than to think it's a safe place, but what if some members of the group ended up there. There was a slight chance they did, and that slight chance set a fire of hope within her. "Let's get a move on. From what I can tell, we'll be there in three days, maybe two if we hurry."
So, they ventured towards their sanctuary or downfall.
IT WAS A DAY IT later and they still were pretty far away from this so called sanctuary.
The train tracks had led them over a large part of Georgia, and the only way the group knew that was because of the train stops they have seen and tried to scavenge through.
They had found nothing in any of the stood they have found, so they were running on nothing but stale chips and two bottles of water. And they were exhausted. They had been walking for what seemed like years, but was only two days. Though, they had stopped many times to take breaks and to sleep.
Isabelle said it was suppose to take three days, but the way they have stopped too many times to count in just the day, she knew that it was probably going to take them a whole week. They were just too tired and she didn't blame them because she was exhausted, too.
She wanted to just lay down and let whatever is suppose to happen, happen. But, she knew better than to give up and let this world win. No, she was not going to let that happen.
So, when she saw two dark haired people — a man and woman — being attacked by four people. Izzy took actions into her own hands, dropped her bag, and ran towards the group. And even though she felt like she was gonna fall over in exhaustion, she pushed forward, sliced at one of the people's backs and froze when they turned around, their eyes glowing a bright blue.
"Angels," she gasped and dodged the punch the angel sent her way. "Angels!" She repeated in a yell so that Claire and the others could hear her.
She ducked and rolled away from the angel that came barreling towards her with an angel blade. She jumped up into a standing position, whipped around, grabbed the angel by it's jacket, yanked her backwards, grabbed the blade, and slammed it into her chest.
"Close your eyes!" Izzy shouted as she jumped away from the angel's body that then collapsed to the ground, a bright light shining before dimming. A burnt wing mark was now on the ground underneath the angel.
"Watch out!" Claire shouted, threw her angel blade towards Izzy who grabbed it mid-air, twirled around, and slammed it into the angels chest that was trying to sneak up on her. It erupted in a bright light before collapsing, too.
"Thanks!" Izzy shouted back at Claire, threw the young girl her angel blade back to make sure she wasn't defenseless, yanked the other angel blade out of the dead angels chest before moving on to the next two angels were who were violently attacking the two people clad in black.
The girl was wearing a leather jacket, black jeans, a black shirt that had AC/DC on it, and combat boots. The man was wearing a black suit with a black trench coat. Both outfit choices reminded her of two very specific people, but she ignored that and attacked the angels.
"Winchester!" The blonde haired angel hissed as he saw the youngest Winchester swipe at them with the angels blades. "Retreat!" She yelled to his partner before they both disappeared, making Izzy stumble forwards because she was about to stab him.
"Well, if it isn't my favorite girl," a voice interrupted Izzy's inner thoughts before she spun around, her brown eyes widening once they came in contact with a set of familiar almost black eyes. "You look hotter than I remember."
Isabelle just stood there, frozen in shock and surprise, and then, suddenly, tears started pouring out of her eyes before she launched herself at the demon.
"Oh, my Chuck!" Izzy gasped, tightening her hold on the demon who stood there for a second, not knowing what to do before she slowly returned the hug. "You were dead," she whispered before pulling back, grabbing Meg's face, pushing the hair out of her face. "How are you here right now?"
Meg shrugged, trying to smile, but it came out as a grimace as she remembered her death. After all, she was killed by Crowley who she had become friends with in the time they have been surviving together. "Don't know. We just suddenly were."
Izzy shook her head before pulling the demon in for a hug, smiling brightly. "I don't care how you came back! I'm just glad that I have you back."
A voice was cleared and a voice broke through their hug. "An I just chopped liver?"
Izzy's eyes widened again and she pulled away from the hug, finally taking in the second person. It was Crowley. The King of Hell. The guy who she considers a friend even after everything he had done to her and her family, and Meg.
"Crowley!" She exclaimed, running towards the shorter demon who opened up his arms, and they hugged.
"Hello, tiger," Crowley mused, patting the girl on the back, glancing before at the people who were with her. "Now, who are these little people?"
Izzy pulled back, wiped any tears away, and turned to her children. "You know Claire," she said, gesturing to the young Novak who awkwardly rose a hand with a small smile. "That's Sophia." She gestured to the young girl. She then cleared her throat as she gestured to Jack. "And this is Jack. Lucifer's son."
Crowley and Meg's eyes widened as they took in the boy who looked around sixteen years old. He looked nothing like Lucifer — evil, that is. He looked innocent, like he's just a human.
"I thought you Winchester's would've killed him," Crowley pointed out, taking small steps towards the boy.
Jack lightly chuckled. "Dean tried to," he said honestly. "But, they chose not to. They're my family now."
Crowley turned to Izzy with a raised eyebrow. "You raised the Devil's son?"
"Basically," she responded. "He's only two years old."
"Two?" Meg chuckled, shaking her head, taking in the boy who was too adorable. "For Luci's son, he looks harmless."
"He lost his grace," Izzy informed her. "Lucifer took it away from him. We killed him right after. Due to killing him, we lost Jack's grace, so now he's stuck as a full human."
"You killed Lucifer?" Crowley asked before whistling. "I sure did miss a lot."
"You?!" Meg exclaimed. "What about me?"
Isabelle chuckled and nodded in agreement. "You sure did. Don't worry, I'll catch you both up on everything."
