everybody has gone through something that has changed them for better or for worse

THERE WAS AN enormous explosion that sent Isabelle off of her bed and onto the floor. She groaned and sat up, looking around with wide eyes.

It was as though a huge fist had decided to punch it's way into the prison. Windows shattered. Thousands of pieces of glass and steel, a deadly rainfall, showered down. Alarms — shrill and deafening — erupted. A huge bite had been taken out of the side and the roof of the building.

"Son of a—!" Isabelle jumped up to her feet in shock. She looked to her left at Jack who had awoken from his sick slumber. He definitely looked a lot better than he had days before.

"Izzy?" He said her name, but it was more like a question as he sat up. "What's happening?"

Isabelle shrugged. "I don't know. You stay here, I'll go check it out!" She ordered before running out of her cell. She ran past a worried Claire and yelled out, "look after Jack!" Then she was gone.

When Isabelle actually made it outside, she could not believe who she saw outside the fences with trucks, cars, tanks, and people surrounding him.

The fucking Governor!

Her brown eyes drug up to where he stood atop a truck, looking smug as hell, with a rifle over his shoulders.

Isabelle's lips shaped into that one of a snarl.

How dare he threaten us again!? How dare he come here to ruin the life we built for ourselves!?

Rick was towards the gate that led to the prison, talking to the Governor. They were far enough away that most of what they were talking about couldn't be said.

"Oh, my god!"

Izzy turned around with wide eyes once she saw Claire and Beth supporting Jack.

"I thought I told you to stay inside!" She snapped, walking up to them. She was worried sick. Not only did she have to worry about the Governor literally exploding up the place she calls home, but she has to worry about a sick Nephilim who doesn't have his powers.

Just great!

"I wanted to help," he rasped, staring at her with wide eyes. "You can't stop me, Izzy."

Isabelle sighed and ran a hand down her face before she shook her head, and joined the others — Daryl, Maggie, Carl, Tyreese, Sasha, and Sophia.

That's when Izzy, Claire, and Beth got the better view on what was going on just as two men pulled out Hershel and Michonne from a car. They were placed down on their knees and the Governor jumped down from his truck and pulled out a sword, holding it out to Hershel's neck.

Fear curled up inside Izzy and clung to her ribs, settling uncomfortably in her chest. Something bad was definitely going to happen. And she wasn't sure if she was going to bd able to stop it or not.

Whatever Rick was saying to the Governor seemed to be having an effect; he was loosening the hold he had on Hershel, and even started to lower the sword.

The next thing anyone knew, the sword went through Hershel's neck, sending it to the side.

Izzy's brown eyes never left Hershel's rolling head and fallen body, her mind going in overdrive. She yanked out her gun that she always had tucked in between her pants and pulled the trigger, not giving it any thought.

She could feel a salty watery substance fall down her face and onto her mouth. She could barely see through the tears in her eyes.

Finally, as if everything had hit her slowly, she screamed so loud, that it echoed through all the gunfire.

Suddenly, the tank they had with them, came rolling in, knocking down their fences, letting in any wandering walkers that were nearby.

Izzy continued to scream and pull the trigger on her gun until she was comepletly out of ammo.

"Fuck!" She cursed. "Son of a bitch!" She threw the gun down on the ground.

"Isabelle!" A voice practically screamed in her ear, making her turn around to face Claire who was holding up her bag to her. "Take it!"

Isabelle grabbed her bag and flung it over her shoulder, quickly gripped onto Jack who was being held by a sobbing Beth, and the trio started to walk away, hoping to get away from the mess that was all around them.

"Isabelle!" A voice yelled and the girl in question turned around to see Daryl running towards her with a crying Sophia in his arms.

"Oh, thank god!" Izzy exclaimed, looking around for anymore people that could possibly have survived the attack. But, all she could see was walkers advancing towards them.

"We gotta go!" Claire shouted over the moans, growling, yelling, and gunfire. "We can't stay here anymore!"

Izzy knew she was right, but she didn't want to leave behind Rick or the others. But, as she saw the herd of walkers that were advancing on them, she knew they better leave now, or they would never be able to get out of this mess.

Isabelle sighed. "Let's go!"

Sophia was now clinging to Claire as Daryl ran off and threw a grenade into the tank, blowing it and whoever was inside it, up.

Soon enough, the prison wasn't really a prison anymore, it was a war area. It was full of bullet shells, empty guns, blood splattered everywhere, dead bodies, and most of all, screams of pain.
