(For anyone who freaked out for their first period, this here is for you for some comfort. Cassidy is 13 in this scenario.)

Cassidy woke up to the sunlight coming from the door of her room. "Mmm.." Arfroid jumped up onto her lap and licked her face. She chuckles and pets him. "Hey there Arfy!" She was experiencing some cramping from her stomach, but wasn't sure about what it could be. She didn't eat anything bad, it wasn't anything that serious. Cassidy stretched and got up, going to the kitchen, getting herself an apple to eat before going into the bathroom to wash up. She sets the apple on the sink counter and then went to use the toilet. Cassidy then noticed a streak of blood on her left leg. Then she immediately looked down and sees the patch of blood in her underwear, and immediately was scared.

Carrie was still asleep next to Yakko, holding onto him in a loving manner. It felt so peaceful, that is until everyone else in the house heard the scream coming from the bathroom. Carrie and Yakko immediately shot up. "What was that?" Yakko asked, rubbing his eyes while still half asleep. "Hang on.. That's Cassidy." Carrie was immediately awake and she ran to the bathroom, knocking on the door. "Cass? Is everything okay sweetie?" She asked, calling to her from outside. Lauren came over to the door as well when Cassidy said "There's blood." Lauren was confused and then shakes her head. "Sis, I thought Mom said to not start shaving your legs yet."

Cassidy shakes her head and then said "I didn't." Lauren was half asleep and confused. "What?" Then she immediately knew what was up and then whispered to her mom. "Code Red Flow. We got a code red flow." Carrie nodded and immediately went out to the store to get supplies. A restock on Pads, snacks, some medicine to handle the cramps, the whole works. Lauren got some fresh clothes from Cassidy's room and came back to the bathroom. Then she knocked on the door again. "Sis.. can I come in?" she asked her and Cassidy told her "Yes." Before Lauren came in with the fresh clothes. "It's okay, it's going to be okay. Me and your mom have been through this before."

Lauren helped Cassidy clean herself up with a bubble bath. She washed her up and after a while, she took her out, drying her off. She then helped her with putting the pad in the right place. "Look. A lot of girls go through this part of puberty. This here is your first period." Cassidy puts on her underwear as her sister explained to her what was going on. She then puts on her warm nightgown. "There you go sis. Do you feel better?" Lauren asked her and Cassidy nodded, taking the pain medicine to ease her cramps. "Mom told me about her first. It wasn't as pretty either. It was similar to you, only you're not getting freebies thrown at you."

(Flashback- 1991. Carrie is 12 years old.)

Carrie was in class, writing an essay for her second to last teacher of the day. She wasn't feeling as good today from the day before. She was almost done when it was getting a little bit serious. After finishing up the essay, she hands it into her teacher Miss Misty before asking her. "You think I can use the bathroom?" Miss Misty nodded and gave her the hall pass. "Here you go Carrie. Be back soon." The bathroom was just a few rooms down from the classroom and Carrie goes there. She walked into the bathroom and goes into the end stall. Carrie sets down the hall pass on the coat hanger, and she sits down, pulling her skirt down and going to the bathroom. She was wiping herself and noticed the blood on it, then she sees the mess.

MacKenzie was walking with Chloe and Raquel along with a few other members, skipping the class all together. She then heard Carrie panicking while they passed the girls bathroom, hearing her say "I'm Bleeding!" Raquel smirks and looks at them. "I think her aunt Flo is in town." She giggled and led the girls inside. MacKenzie went to the stall she was in and got it unlocked, opening it up and Carrie immediately grabbed her shirt, getting the blood that was on her hands on it. "Aw come on! You ruined my shirt." MacKenzie growled and then says "Come on, it's just your period!"

Chloe opened up the freebie dispenser box, throwing a tampon at her. The girls immediately started getting their hands on the freebies and began pelting Carrie with them, shouting "Period! Period!" Over and over. Carrie slid down and laid on the floor, curled into a ball while they taunted her. Miss Misty heard the commotion from her class and got up from her desk. "I'll be right back children. Keep on writing, you're doing great." She immediately went out to the girls bathroom.

Miss Misty opened up the door and saw what was going on. She immediately grabbed MacKenzie's arm and turned her to face her. "What on earth do you think you are doing?!" She asked her and pointed to Carrie. All of the free pads and tampons were on the floor. "Get out! All of you! Don't make me call your parents and tell them you were skipping class." Miss Misty scolded and the girls retreated. She knelt to Carrie who was a crying, blubbering mess. "Hey. It's okay. Don't listen to those girls. You're growing to be a sweet young woman."

(At the nurse.)

Nurse Carol helped Carrie clean up while Miss Misty called her dad. He was having himself some soup when the phone had rang. Daniel picked up the phone. "Hello?" He answered the call and Miss Misty gave a soft smile. "Hello Mr. Nelson. It's Miss Misty. I'm calling from the nurses office about Carrie. She had a menstrual accident and I caught the bullies throwing freebies at her. You think you can take her home for the rest of today?" She asked him and he nodded. "I will be there right away." He ends the call and got on his jacket, going out to his car before riding to the school. Growing up, he was the only boy at the all girls school, and he learned a lot from those ladies.

Carrie came out all clean and fresh. Miss Misty looked at her. "Carrie, I will tell the gym teacher you will be excused from gym class for the rest of the week. Don't worry about a thing." Miss Misty pets her head and Carrie nodded. "Yes Miss Misty." She gave a small smile to her and she pats her back. "Don't worry. You did great on your essay." Miss Misty gave her a cherry lollipop and sends her to her father. Daniel takes Carrie's hand and they walked to his car. Carrie got in the car with her things and Daniel drives her back to his place. They had some snacks and watched movies together.

Carrie came back with the items and sets things in place. She then made Cassidy a strawberry milkshake and topped it with whipped cream. Lauren was making Cassidy a pillow fort in her and Crakko's room. "Almost ready. No peeking." Lauren giggled and both Cassidy and Crakko both kept their eyes shut, having small little laughs with one another. Then they opened up their eyes and saw the pillow fort in front of them. The candy was arranged in front of them for them to share. Cassidy goes inside and Lauren turns on the tv, switching it to their favorite programs. Carrie came in with her milkshake and gave it to Cassidy. "I hope you feel better about today, okay sweetie?" She kissed her forehead and both her and Lauren left the room, letting Cassidy and Crakko watch their shows together.
